My favorite pie is lemon meringue. I just had it on my birthday, which was just a few days ago. What is your favorite pie?

French silk. I also love egg custard pie. My grandmother used to make several of these and stack them on top of each other. Then she'd slice them like cake.

there's this great pecan pie recipe in my kitchen safe, sworn to secrecy upon it's being handed to me, so i doubt it will be in any of my hub recipes (unless i leave out an ingredient or two), but it's the best!

I like pork pie myself, but more interestingly I've seen and heard of banoffee pie all my life and I've still no real idea of what it actually is: The thought of banana and coffee (what my imagine has transcribed as ingredients) making me immune to it's advances thus far! smile

It's a tie between custard and pumpkin.  I think, though, custard is a little higher on my list.  For some reason, though, I only have pumpkin on Thanksgiving and Christmas - and I go from one year to the next without getting custard. (Well, the reason is nobody in the family will help me eat a custard pie.)

Do you folks who have meat in pies live somewhere other than US?  I don't think people where I am (Massachusetts, US) eat anything but dessert pies, except for chicken pot pies.

Anyone like mince-meat pie? (which I know isn't meat, by the way)
