Yes, a lot of us are anxious to start our contest hubs for the week.  Have patience.  I'm sure Princessa will check in within the next couple hours.  I already sent her an email, so let's not bombard her.

      I am here!!!

Sorry about that, I've been overwhelmed with children's extra curricular activities...

I'll be back in about an hour ready to start the new topic for this week.

Don't you hate it when real life gets in the way of your hubbing!?

Just kidding.  Children's extracurriculars sound exhausting but lovely.

It is hard work (the children I mean!) but very rewarding.  We've had the regional sport days yesterday and today.  Plus Birthday parties during the weekend... It looks like their agenda is soon starting to get busier than mine!

I once read that parenting had become the most competitive sport in America smile  True for other places and cultures as well?

              Unfortunately yes sad

You should see the cakes the mothers bring for the kermesse, the last day of school... they all try to outdo each other with their fancy cakes.  The first year I was very mortified with my effort of a cake (but they forgave me... whatelse could they expect...I am not French!) The second year I bought a cake at the baker, shook it in the box back home, took it out of the box and put in in a dish... expecting that the other moms would think I had improve my baking skills.  Guess what?  They new exactly from what baker I had bought my cake and could not imagine why it looked so awfully battered!

I don't count the roundup, so 83.  All were hubs this time, vs most weeks there are some comments and short answers in the feed that are not hubs.

    You are not alone. big_smile

You can post late to a topic, but this week's topic actually is "Hubbalicious leftovers".
So if you've got any more hubs from June that didn't make the deadline, and many of us do, now is a great time to get them published.
