Okay it is not really an issue.
It is more like a dilemma.
Well not really, it more like an ill-thought-of or foolish desire if anything else.
But, okay I really cannot explain what it is.
It's just that for the longest time now, I have wanted to make the Number of Hubs I have written be the same Number as my Followers.
But, I think it is a losing cause or a losing battle as there is always at least one one new follower for every hub I write.
What do you think?
Have you ever had the same nonsensical obsession?
Or do you think that at a certain number, the number of followers plateaus so that the number of hubs evidentually catch up. LOL, I know, I think too much...
4x4, you'd better lose that obsession! If you write good Hubs, your followers will far outstrip the number of Hubs and you'll give yourself sleepless nights for nothing!
Hello Marisa,
I am finally beginning to think you are right.
And come to think of it, that might explain all my sleepless nights all these past months.
LOL
Ayup. At one point I had the chance of having 100 hubs, 100 followers, 100 accolades and some slim hope of pushing my Hubscore to the same number.
Well, the HubScore never went over 98, the followers shot right past 100 and so did the accolades. The hubs are now 118, so there is no longer any way for me to hit that convergence of digits.
Fah-ged-about-it!
no, i don't have that dilemma
though my hubs and fans tend to be close in number
I'd rather have tons of fans and less hubs-or rather keep my # of hubs but havve tons more fans.
Honestly, it's a good thing you have more followers than hubs, because then you have more people to read your stuff.
funny you should bring that up as when i had 19 hubs had 19 followers , 20 hubs 20 followers except i would love to have a lot more followers !!
Don't worry I'm like that too. I have always had a weird urge to stay ahead! Fortunately I currently have 130 hubs and 126 followers - I'm staying ahead... just!
That's just not practical for me. I'd rather have a lean, mean, earning-machine's worth of Hubs. (which I do have)
Of course relache, thank you and all the best for you and yours.
That is why I have always thought of this obsession as a foolish if not an impossible one.
But I also want to know if there is someone out there with the same foolish thoughts and anybody who have actually pulled it off.
I think the only method may be to piss your followers off, then start deleting hubs,
Sooner or later you’ll be at 0 – 0.
That’s about the only sure fire way I know to quench your obsession.
Doesn't do much for the revenue though
Yeah I thought it was good advice, funny too, still, I’d follow Marisa’s advice rather than mine
I am trying to get 3 hubbers for each hub
but still got 132 only where as my hubs are 86.
Going to get more and more hubbers with my hubs
A more realistic and optimistic obsession would be that you always have at least twice the number of followers vs hubs.
If I noticed that someone had been at HP for a few months, had a few dozen hubs, but only equal number of followers, it would be a red flag to me. I'd probably suspectthe hubs were poor quality, spammy, or on the dullest topics ever.
numbers of hubs and numbers of followers regardless which has a greater does not really bothers me, I have a different dilemma and that is getting a bit affected when scores of my hubs started to get lower...
well i dont know the whole scene.
I have only 3 hubs and my hubber list is touching 60.
I have had this happen twice in multiples.
Once was 777 followers on 77 hubs. Synchronicity perhaps!
Interesting problem. I hope that this is the worst problem that you have to deal with in your life. Personally, the only numbers that mean anything to me are the amounts that I earn.
I just hit 131 followers... and I have 131 hubs. I've had a few days off so I better get back in and write to get ahead!
And...Wrylilt .... as I read this you've 137 hubs and 137 followers!!!!
But, by the time you see this one or other will have changed since you move at the speed of lightening.
Wait, wait - maybe if I can ADD UP the HubScore and the accolades and the hubs and the followers?
Nope. That is 646. No good... No WAIT! Just twenty more in any combination and I am 666!
Cool!
I think it is better to have more followers than hubs. This gives the benefit of having more people read your hubs and could possibly make it more popular..
um i get obsessed by that too
I now have 56 hubs and 58 fans to add a bit more spice I am trying to get all the nice remarks add up to the same amount but it is a little adrift..... then of course i could get the number of views per hub to average 58 or 580 or 5800 etc..... this really is addictive to some one who likes patterns

What are your HubPages goals for the next year? Income, number of hubs published, writing goals?

I'm just curious to know how other people have done. Right now, my record is a very prestigious 2! I'm sure I'll do better in the future though (I hope!).

When you first joined hubpages. Did you ever get discouraged, because? When you first joined hubpages, we're you at all shocked or surprised to see fellow hubbers with impressive numbers like 1000+ hubs written? Did seeing such numbers at first, discourage you any, motivate you, or pose itself to...

First, I want to apologize if you've heard this question a 1000 times before, but I'd be grateful if you could advise me from your experience. If I was to publish a large number of hubs across various topics, each targeting a well researched keyword/s, is it realistic to aim for an average daily...

So I've got a few hubs up and really just started here on hubpages. But the impressions that I get on hubpages, vs my google adsense doesn't quite make sense. I understand they take 60% of the impressions, but I was just curious. Those of you with over 100 posts and using google adsense are you...

I noticed that when I checked my backlinks all of the ones from hubpages were 'nofollow' links. Should this be the case? (I've written several articles and I'd hate not to be getting the most out of them.) Or do I need to change something in the HTML coding linking the anchor text to my website? If...
