Mine is U2-- all of Joshua Tree album, Simple Minds(Don't You Forget About Me, OMD, CCR, Heart(All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You), Sting, The Police, 10,000 Maniacs(Gunshy)
Can't put my finger on one song, but it'd have to be either "Where the Streets have no Name" by U2, "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi, or "Sweet Child 'o Mine" by Guns 'N Roses. You can't grow tired of any of those songs.
All of these songs you mentioned are my favs, too, jsaeger. Where the Streets Have no Name is in the Joshua Tree album. I like all songs in that album.
AHA, and "The Sun Always Shines on TV", but there are many more such as Adam and the Ants and "Stand and Deliver" or Bonnie Tyler and "Holding out for a Hero" etc etc.
Legendary Pink Dots - 'The Light in My Little Girl's Eyes' Scraping Foetus off the Wheel - the entire album 'Hole', great tunes to wake up to on a Sunday morning
Actually I agree that Def Leppard (complete with one armed drummer were great). Bon Jovi too was wonderful, and if by "Poison" you mean Alice Cooper, then I am behind you 100%, as he was the dogs boll**ks if you get my drift.
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five "The Message" Tracy Chapman "Fast Car" Talking Heads "Heaven" (Stop Making Sense Version) Tom Waits "Anywhere I Lay My Head"
There's so many to choose from... but some I can think of off the top of my head:
Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer Soft Cell - Tainted Love Billy Idol - Rebel Yell The Bangles - Heaven a Place on Earth Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen Aha - Take On Me The B52s - Love Shack
Just some very very basic 80s favorites. There are so many more to enjoy!
Alice Cooper - Poison Europe - Final Countdown ABBA - Happy New Year Midnight Oil - Beds Are Burning Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name and Blaze of Glory Wham - Last Christmas Pet Shop Boys - It's a Sin Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of The Heart Tina Turner - The Best Elton John - Word in Spanish Ten Sharp - You
...Not to mention all that Modern Talking, CC Catch, FR David, Bad Boys Blue, Sandra, Savage and series of Italo Disco.
Who is your favourite guitarist, and why? Also, if you have a favourite song by your favourite guitarist, then I want to know what it is.Please don't list singers who happen to pose with guitars on stage - just real guitarist, the guy's who don't have to sing, but singers that play well are welcome...
How did you discover your favorite song or album?Did the method of discovery cause you to start automatically start associating certain feelings or memories with the music?
