baby finally cooperated!
still picking out the martial arts classes though
Looks more like a mermaid to me
A mermaid with martial arts skills. Now that is something!
Interesting correlation, i was pushing for Ariel ...but i have been shot down
Congratulations, Sunforged, you finally saw the "cookie"!! Having two little girls myself, I can say that it's the best!! My husband was down on the floor earlier this evening playing "the Beast" (Beauty and the Beast) as well as Prince Eric - Ariel's love!! He was playing with our girls, in case that wasn't clear... Just you wait...many princesses in your future!
Best wishes to you, your wife and baby!
Baby looks so beautiful inside the tummy :-) I have always appreciated the mother's pride and courage.. it all seems a miracle.. looking like a mermaid
Congratulations on your little miracle!
Congratulations!! Make sure she gets all the Martial arts-- you won't be with her every minute, even if you want to be.
Congratulations Sunforged - they say a man's not a man until he has a daughter
Here's hoping all goes according to plan, martial arts classes included!
wow...those ultra sounds...and watching the baby grow are such special moments aren't they? Congratulations...! And I can imagine how happy you must feel....
Wow, she's really coming along! When's the big debut expected?
Congratulations, seems like only yesterday. Keep us posted.
Oh wow this is sooooooo exciting you must be over the moon. Got any names picked out for her yet?
Hey - excellent! My how she's grown, eh? With two sons and a daughter, I think both little girls and little boys are equally precious and beautiful.
This has nothing to do with "pushing" my own writing (because - really - I only fool around with writing the occasional, less than great, poem); and instead it's only out of being sentimental to think about having a newborn baby daughter; but the following poem was inspired by my newborn daughter over 20 years ago. (She's still every bit as precious ) I just thought you may like the sentiments (of course, maybe not the actual name in the poem): (The thing about having a baby girl is you learn how to be a giant cornball and not even try to hide it. )
One gift I give will be your name.
A classic name endures,
and brings to mind stability.
So I will choose a classic name.
Self-respect and dignity -
two gifts I hope you'll get from me -
are messages your name should send.
So I must choose a lovely name.
Power, strength, and solid sense;
but also grace and elegance,
a name that you will not outgrow.
So I must choose a perfect name.
With how I hope you'll see yourself,
with all the things I hope for you,
and all the things a name should mean,
there's just one name for you,
Hello! A baby! WoW!
As a grandfather of six, I am very happy for you!
Oh My Freakin' Goodness I thought you were announcing her arrival!
Hey !!! that is the same picture they gave me over 19 years ago when I was having my daughter!
Thank you everyone!
This is actually our third ultrasound appointment and the first time we actually get to know a gender...so we have been expecting to know for a long time, all the important stuff is good too, plenty of toes and fingers and all that.
Unfortunately (for me) all the names I actually liked were boys names...so back to the drawing board on that account.
We are expecting on june 22nd
Oh, that's wonderful news!! Congratulations sunforged! *throws confetti, dances for joy*
She's lucky to have you! And you're lucky to have her! You and your growing family have my best wishes.
BTW: For what it's worth, I think Ariel is a lovely name.
congrats, how exciting. a little summer baby, almost the same as mine.
ariel is pretty.. exciting news, made me smile this evening after a long day.
Congratulations Sunforged! Oh a little she writer in the making!
Congratulations. That's a great thing to hear. How about a virtual baby shower here in Hubpages?
Congrats!! I remember extremely well the day my daughter was born, almost 26 yrs ago. It was one of the most wonderful days of my life, along with the birth of my son.
Don't forget that the 'diagnosis' of female is a diagnosis of exclusion.
I think just under 10% of girls surprise their parents a little later on.
My nephew was wearing pink for quite a while....
How exciting! Congrats, Sunforged! I'm like Darkside, I thought you were announcing her arrival and I didn't think she was due yet. We'll be waiting for her debut in June.
Congratulations Sunforged, if she's like most "Daddy's Little Girls" she will have you wrapped around her little finger by the time she is born. And you will have a hard time saying "No" to her. Best wishes to you and your wife.
aaaa Sunforged LOVE the pic you posted of your baby girl. So cool!
Okay names!!! what are the names you are thinking about?
Congrats, sunforged. She's perty. Are you gonna get the 3D scan? I so wish they would have had those when I was having my kids. Cool stuff.
I love the name Izabella or Isabella, can call her Izzy, Belle, Bella, Iz, all for short.
Just don't make her middle name ringing or she will be Isabella Ringing LMAO.
Perhaps SeoBella would be more appropriate huh BP?
Don't make the mistake of showing this pic at her 21st party J..
Good news mate and the landing gear is up, so that's going to create the kind of special that will last your lifetime.
And Mum has done very well.
Sunforged, little girls are AWESOME!! I'm expecting another granddaughter in a couple of weeks. I already have two, along with five grandsons, so we needed another girl! Congrats!
She looks so cute! when she is due? When teh baby will come out? Looking forward to see the picture of her with the real world :-) congratulations!!!!!!
would you believe im currently in talks with ex-IDF members who are considering opening an institute near me. I have offered web design and local biz promotion for a years training (for me)
Dont know if it will pan out..but a little girl who knows Krav maga would equal a sunforged who sleeps well at night!
awww Sun this just warmed my heart. . nothing like having a baby girl .. well that is until they turn 16 then they really become daddys girl!
sweet little thing I can be a baby sitter hehe!
CONGRATULATIONS! and a little girl is alwasy daddys best!
Congratulations Sunforged, im so happy for you.
For a minute, thought the baby had arrived. We are all anxiously awaiting the sweet little angel's arrival.
GodBless her little soul.
Congratulations on a daughter. Baby girls are cute and fun to dress up. Teenage girls are cute, never wear what you buy them, and rip your heart out and stomp on it. Twenty year old girls remember how much they like you, and it all gets better again. And. Boy names work for girls. And. My girls loved martial arts. Girls rock. And they are smart. Best of luck to you. Namaste.
Wow another precious miracle
Marital arts > Crouching tiger or Hidden dragon lol

Are martial arts too spiritual for Christians to participate?Recently, I asked a question about yoga being anti-Christian and the answers were interesting. So, I started wondering if people used the same thought process when analyzing martial arts, which has origins associated with Hindu-Buddhist...

"I have a 7 yr old daughter who is interested in the martial arts instead of the tights and...tutu's. I'm not one of these typical PTA moms who is trying to go the "pansie way." The way the world is today, I want her to be able to kick butt against a full grown perp. I don't care...
