This is especially for those who believe, who know they exist.

How would one know it was real love and not a spell?

      1. Underworld-Craft profile image59
Underworld-Craftposted 13 years agoin reply to this

The greatest law in life is the law of love. No other law is greater than this. Spells are done under some laws, and as long as love is the greatest of all laws, no spell of love would work for a long time without being broken. If it lasts for such a long time then you actually are in love, spell or no spell.

          Oh I see.

Well I would be interested to meet one and see where it goes.

I've definitely never dated one before.

There is no reason a witch cannot be married.  Are you asking which of us believe in the witch?

Then you must live in a different world to the rest of us.

Witches definitely exist, whether you want to believe or not. They have been with us for millennia and have been well documented for good and bad reasons during that time. It's said that Hitler used them to discern the best days for certain battles and were even employed by the British army because of that.

Both Britain and America had witch hunts a few centuries ago and much of Germany still bares the evidence that not only have they existed, but still do. The Brocken in the Hartz mountains and Goslar especially hold tightly to their heritage in that respect.

In the late seventies in Sussex, England, a local council stopped a man from installing a skylight in his roof because of opposition from a neighbour who claimed to be a witch. She stated that when open, it would block her ability to be able to come and go on her broomstick. (The Evening Argus)

        Perhaps you need to rethink.

Yes, but marriage was instituted through churches, and so a witch should be married in a Christian church.

Witches would not necessarily be opposed to Christianity.

Witches are no different than any other person. And as far as knowing if it is really love or a spell, any witch--who doesn't practice black magic or performs spells for their own benefit--will tell you that both of the above is wrong. Witches are given special knowledge to help people without harm to anyone or changing another person's will. The true spirit of a witch is not what I can do for me, but how can I help you?

      1. Arthur Fontes profile image73
Arthur Fontesposted 13 years agoin reply to this

To a certain extent that is true.  The distinction between white and black magic is a very grey area.  It all would depend on the intent of the practitioner.  Majick is Majick, the evil or good of it is quite subjective.

There are different types of handfasting, depending on what kind of commitment you want to make.  There is temporary handfasting - when you give yourself to another person for a short period, maybe a year or two, a life long handfasting - where you give yourself to each other for life and for the really, really, really committed - the life and beyond handfasting, which commits a couple beyond the grave and into the next life.  The idea is that you don't make a promise unless you can keep it.  Not many for life and beyond handfastings!

Correct Arthur...views vary, some consider one who practices the craft without  the spiritual guicance of Gaia for example of being only a witch.

When practiced in spiritual form using Morther Earth and adding morality is considered wicca.

Strange how history repeats itself...History is linear. There will be similarities, but they will be compounded and unique.

While this may not be directly on point to the topic. A person asking the same question several hundred years ago, would have been executed.

It would seem that as man progesses towards an uncertain future, the urge to become closer to nature, our spiritual selves,(for many not all) is multiplied. This is why the study of wicca has become so popular IMO.

Movies, books and television...yet still wiccans try to ignore the sensationalism being given of an ancient religion.

ok listen up wiccans are not all witches and all witches are not wiccans most are believe it or not christians and most the true ones will never tell you that they are witches it is against their code yes there is a code and the wiccas act like they know it but that is the crap that was started in the 60's real pagans are different from druids and not all druids are pagans and visa versa
so if some one used witch craft as a religion they are wrong witches are born not made or taught it is a trait passed down from your ancestors and sometimes it will skip a generation but if you are one you know it from birth and so does your family and when you meet one from another family you know it so please let this be the end of this and yes they can marry have kids and do all kinds of normal stuff even though they are extra-ordinary
