He wears a toupee. Am I the last person to discover this? Yeah, I know it's not important - I was just surprised.

I honestly did not know that Gingrich wears a rug. Is this why Conan has been doing the bit with Andy wearing a wig to look like Newt?

Habee.....Did not know this and like you, I say it's "not important,"  and will add that if baldness were his only issue, he'd be half-acceptable....in HALF a way....for HALF a reason....under ANY circumstances.  However, his "issues" precede him. I've actually been too preoccupied trying to figure out how the HELL Newtie found THREE women to give him the time of day...much less marry the cheating creep......Ewwwwwwwww!  p.s. and cheating is by no means his major issue.  Poor guy. What a loser. So, what makes you think I don't like him, anyway?

I wondered about that. It does look phony. Fits his character.

Yes, it isn't important, but I also did not know he wore a wig.

Well nothing surprises me about him, but since some one posted on Face book the early picture of Newt with the picture of Dwight from "The Office" I always chuckle to myself, now it will be outright laughter. How vain! How can America put its future in the hands of such a person? I am giving an unbiased opinion here as I have no vote in the USA as I am a green card holder. Just observing on the sidelines.

I totally agree. It just boggles my poor old brain that ANYONE would even consider this man to be POTUS!

lol Yeah, MM - it's probably made of spun platinum! If his Vegas backer bails, Newt might have to sell his rug to finance his campaign.

Well I am so surprised!  i always admired his hair because it looks so beautiful and silky grey.  I'll  bet If you can't trust a man about his hair, I suppose you can't trust too much else about him...lol.

That has be to the cream de la cream of hair pieces, now that the secret is out, how many are placing bets someone is going to raid the stage and give it a yank, better yet, train the kids to do it.

"hey miser..Are you a real politician or just pretending to be?"

There are other things about Newt...none of which I can confirm as an eye witness. But, I had the pleasure of staying in a Virginia inn that was famous for Newt being one of its incognito guests (with or without hairpiece) while in trysts. All rumor, all rumor, of course. This was about ten years ago, when I never suspected he might run for POTUS. Sigh and ho-hum...what else is newt?

    What's wrong with a toupe?
I would wear one if I could get away with it.

Absolutely nothing, Charles! I was just surprised. You don't need a rug, though. You're handsome enough just like you are.

I have a photo somewhere of me wearing an orange wig. If I can work out how to put it up I will.

Why is it you guys over the pond seem to have all seriously biased and weird politicians - at least ours are just slimy emotional cripples.

What - you think having a moon colony is a weird idea? You mean you don't think spending billions on a moon base, with Newt as dictator, is a sound investment? Are you saying we should spend that money on other silly things, like our national debt??

      Newt for Moon President!

I can't say that it is something the worries me much at this stage of politics.Maybe if we didn't have to worry about jobs, terrorism, congressional insider trading, housing market and all, I might get excited about some politicians hair or lack thereof.

Women talk about double standards, and how they have to be thin and wear makeup...

... but being bald as a man changes your life by quite a bit.

Trust me, I'm an expert in the subject.

Ya know, some women prefer bald men! I know some really hot bald guys. But...the Grinch is NOT one of them because I think he's ugly on the inside.
