Why is it when you wear shoes or slippers you never hurt yourself yet when you walk round the house in your socks you end up banging your feet of corners or parts of the wall and doors that you would not normally walk into? I just done it again and it hurt and am upset and not pleased with myself for doing it again. I hate myself now how dare the wall bang my toe!!!
And why does the jar of mayonnaise suddenly leap from your hands and make a direct hit on your stubby foot-fingers????
I think we should consult a therapist and dig into the correlation between self-hatred and toe-banging. I wonder which came first?
I needed this laugh regarding the "conspiracy." and the various responses in this thread. I also tend to be more likely to bang my toe into my trunk than softer furniture. I am not a person known to swear, but I do tend to swear when I bang my toe.
So true. I stubbed my toe a couple of weeks ago walking down stairs. DOWN stairs? How did I do that? Don't ask me!
I think we should investigate this thoroughly. Toe banging must be banned! the gremlins or something make us do it!
You wear Slippers?? No wonder your feet are trying to get away!
Mind you... I suppose it's better than having a roaming nose!
This is funny because I was just talking to my husband about this the other day. I always bang my toes when I am just wearing socks. I never wear slippers because I don't feel comfortable wearing them around the house. My husband does, and he never hurts his toes. But here I am banging my toes around and yelping all the time. That's funny!
I've experienced it myself - I stub my toes a lot when I wear slops. I moved a chair the other day and it crushed my big toe - blood under the nail and all.
I think you just notice the incidents more and blame it on the lack of shoes or inappropriate footwear. I probably hit things just as much with shoes but don't notice it because it hurts less, or doesn't hurt at all. We associate pain in any form with events and remember them more readily.
Hi guys sorry I did not get here sooner had a major toe banging day lol
I think it should be an olympic sport as we seem to do it all the time
I agree - it should be a sport.
I think my points for toe-banging today are:
8.7, 8.5, 8.6, 8.6, 8.6, 8.5, 8.7, and 8.1.....
The Chinese judge marked me low because I didn't hold my form long enough after I caught my toe on the edge of the cupboard I shouldn't have started hopping across the kitchen so soon!
lol ROFL I did a preparation before hand after spilling hot coffee on my foot first lol
My points were
8.6, 8.5, 8.7, 8.7, 8.8, 8.8, 8.9 and possibly a 7.9
I will go for a record next time
I say - just hold your form longer... you know - the CRINGE thing? Hot coffee or toe-attacking cupboards - it's all about holding your form
I will; be sure to follow your advice and will hold my form -
Lets work out the medal system
Bronze medal first - given for the worst swear word during toe banging
Silver medal - given to the longest Cringe
What can the Gold one be given for??? lol
there's the foot slurry, slap, bang the toe move - just did it while in slippers on an even floor - I should get at least a 9! but it didn't bring tears to my eyes, so may be only an 8.8 or even 8.7. I honestly have never seen this one done before. So, major epiphany here! SLIPPERs are called SLIPPERs because they tend to SLIP! wow
Well, you only think the furniture is an inanimate object. They're watching you and getting paybacks for your sitting on them all the time!
This is so hilarious but true of so many including my husband!! I'm still laughing Thanks
why is it so funny to see someone ELSE bang their toe? Or bump their head Or run into the furniture or any of those other minor accidents? It's hysterical when your kids are hopping around on one foot, but funnier when an otherwise very solemn adult does it. When I'm all alone and stub my toe, I can hear the tinkle of the little fairies laughing. No lie!

Here once again Biden stands at a podium swings around his hands, and rants, seeking and appoint blame on American citizens, ultimately Republican citizens. Without cause, without proof of the motive of why or what possessed this nut job that attacked Paul Pelosi. Although in front of only a...

As I get older (grandmother), I am aware that some of my clothes are outdated and do not look age appropriate for me. I still like to look fashionable, but do not want to put people off by wearing things that look like I am trying to turn back the years too far. What do you think?
