I'm super psyched! My daughter is being admitted to the hospital today. Her due date was supposed to be eight days from now. I'm so excited - - - on pins and needles.

It's a good sign if she can't text me right now, isn't it? I mean, I figure she's got her mind on more important things big_smile !

That's what they've been told. Sometimes the techs make a mistake, but they seem quite confident; so if he turns out to be she, then everyone will be super surprised!

Thank you! It's hard to be far away, even though I have already bought my ticket to go for a visit a little bit later.

Thank you all. I still haven't heard any more. I was in labor with my daughter for a really long time, and I'm hoping that she doesn't have the same experience.

I'll be able to take pictures when I go out there in a few days, and I will certainly post some as soon as I can. If the proud papa sends some before then, I'll share them.

Thanks, brake12 - I'm not sure how the picture managed that, but believe me I am old enough, and I feel it too! LOL

More thanks to you all. At this point it looks like she's following the pattern I followed when she was born - not one I would highly recommend. Too long in labor, progress and then stalling. Baby still hasn't seen daylight yet.

I told my daughter (via my sister who is with her) that she just needs to "threaten" him a little. When she was born, the Ob-Gyn was literally scrubbing up to perform a C-section when the natural process finally kicked into high gear, and then she arrived very soon after that. I've joked with people that she just needed for someone to push her into making a decision about how she was going to make her entrance into the world, and she finally did.

How neat for you to have four grandkids, TamCor; and how wonderful that you got to be present for two births, pstraubie48!

Thank you both, and thanks for the good advice! I will definitely have to treasure the time with him whenever we have some. At the moment, we live 1700 miles apart, so it is a very big deal to arrange a visit. We're trying to work out some time together after these days just ahead, when I will be flying out there. I'm making lots of plans. Now, he just needs to do his part. smile
