I just signed up (and haven't heard back yet -- no surprise there) but was actually looking forward to writing some articles that would fit well with an ebay module
I know most people get money from adsense but I figured over time 20-30 percent from ebay would be peachy.
just wondering if this is going to really hurt people here
thanks
I've had modest success with eBay but its far from my biggest earner. Its highly inconvenient though because I often add ebay capsule to keep a hub fresh with new content.
I just blogged about the ebay hubpage change - people do have options - but I guess it will take few days for the shock to wear off for some. Certainly some affiliates will have their businesses badly effected by this change (which includes blogger blogs and squidoo not just Hubpages)
I didn't sign up with it, so it won't affect me at all. Hopefully, Amazon won't do the same thing, though.
I doubt it, Amazon makes a lot of money from affiliates.
I will actually lose a lot--I have quite a bit from ebay ads-as coin people love to check the ads at some of my hubs instead of trying the search thru ebay.
I hope that hub pages and ebay partner network can work this out--it floors me because they have made money from it--why would they take it away?
Yeah I don't think you have much to loose. What's up? Thanks for stopping by earlier.
Well it's kind of a secret but for now I can say just under two hours from you. Unless you are really from Tennessee:)
LOL I thought you were close. I work in Olean ny
Ok I will tell you one secret. Sometimes I work there too!
Closer than you thought?
Funny but true! Shhh it's suppose to be a secret!
I am familar with St Bonaventure University!
What is the late night snack tonight? Got to go you might have just taken my spot for the last one to post!
I feel terrible for those who earn a lot from eBay. I know there are a few top earners on here that do earn a lot from their affiliate program.
I am very thankful that I was never accepted. I'd be sooooo upset if I had spent all sorts of time writing hubs around collectible items that can only be found on eBay.
I hope this never happens with Amazon!
Girly - don't hope - plan. It may well happen with Amazon -they have already closed their program to several states because of Sales tax issues. Any affiliate can change the rules on you at any time you need to diversify
my-success-guru/kmackey - could you take the chat elsewhere - or at least start your own thread - this thread acutally has serious issues for many hubbers
That is very good advice, definitely. I live in New England, so I wouldn't be shocked if my state enacted the new sales tax legislation next session.
Thankfully, whenever I write hubs that are aimed to sell amazon products, I also keep in mind CPC so I won't be completely ruined. I make about 85% of my online earnings from adsense (not very diversified lol) and amazon accounts for the rest, which is a nice little bonus that historically, will cover my share of a cell phone payment. The way I see it, there are plenty of products to write about that have a higher CPC...just takes a little more research, but I'm glad that I've done that!
Welcome to hubpages 3bagsfull (cool nic btw)
Ebay, well they are stingy ,so no I wont miss them.
Somehow I know what LMFAO stands for Amazing!
I sure can I was born gifted. If you want to know any further updates come see me and I will looker deeper in my crystal ball.
There's only one hub of mine this affects, and that will have to be redone, but I didn't get any income off it anyway. I'm not overly upset.
I make more money on EBay and have been making payout every month so far whereas in Amazon I have not got even a single payout.

We are going to increase Amazon earnings for most of you! Amazon is becoming part of the HP Earnings program. In early November folks will have the opportunity to switch to get paid their Amazon earnings through the HP Earnings program. For new Hubbers, this will greatly simplify...

Ebay sent me an email today, if I dont remove the ebay ads from my lens, they will close my eBay Partner account????These are some examples, and not a complete list. We recommend you remove all your links from any site which you do not own. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, eBay Partner...

eBay is changing its affiliate scheme in October and there is one HUGE change which has been sneaked in.Their cookie is now a 24-hour cookie, same as Amazon. For Hubbers, that makes eBay effectively worthless and I strongly recommend you remove your eBay capsules! Amazon will now be a...

238 impressions (8 days into) this month, 196 clicks, £0.16 earned (about 20-25 cents). Is promoting eBay a waste of time, my CTR must be about 80%+ but the revenue is shockingly bad. The eBay listings are indexed as keywords which do bring extra traffic but is it worth the hassle? Even...

Nobody else seems to have picked this up, (and accuse me of cross posting if you wish as there is another dormant thread) but the new eBay Partner Network (EPN) policy effective Monday statesPublishers may only place links and/or promotional content on sites they own. Affiliate links on third...
