So, I just sent out this weeks newsletter a few minutes ago...

...and I was wondering what all of you Hubbers out there thought of it. I just started working here with the rest of the HubPage crew(my official title is 'Communicator of Awesomeness!' aka marketing manager) and I have heard that the newsletter hasn't changed a whole lot lately.

So, I figured that I would see what you all thought about it and if you had any amazingly awesome ideas that I could possible sneak into next weeks edition. I'm pretty slammed right now with getting up to speed on all things HubPages, but I am more than willing to change it around a bit if you'd all like to see something different.

    http://z.hubpages.com/u/466657_200.jpg <---Awesome, indeed.

p.s. If you're wondering who I'm screaming at and why in my profile pic, the guy with the sweet afro is named Awesome and he was San Francisco's entry into the US Air Guitar Championships that I went to last weekend.

He definitely is awesome, I'll tell you that. smile

Can you handle all of this awesomeness?!?!

    http://www.boingboing.net/images/shredbeglllley.jpg

Yeah, I know that I'm getting way off topic, but I figured that we could talk Awesome and newsletters at the same time.

    Multitask Hubbers, multitask.

The key to air guitar is the faces.  My dad's a guitar player, so I got all the facial twitches down!

    Plus, my face is double-jointed:

    Funny...but, painful.

I hear that this guy was pretty smart and he liked the funny faces, too.

No feedback? Come on now, Jimmy...don't worry - you won't hurt my feelings...much.

      Do you like it?

      Is it boring?

Is it the greatest thing that you've ever read in your life?

Does it make your Inbox smell funny?

I'm looking for feedback here - anything you can give me would be awesome.

Also, we could make it more tailored to what you want to hear about...your fans...the writer's that you're a fan of....certain topics....anything, really.

I mean, usually everyone has an opinion, right? smile

Soooo, you're saying that the newsletter should actually work. Great point.

          Ok, I wrote that down...

I just saw that I posted some of the wrong links...I think that i was getting distracted by Maddie and her constant giggling.

Yep, I'm blaming it on that. smile

I promise to be better linker next week...if not, you can all make fun of me even more than usual.

And I'm going to blame my constant giggling on the ridiculous amount of hilarious spam that gets submitted to me for publication.

Your funny face pictures don't help.  But there, too, I'm pretty sure I win:

Oh, and I hope that I never have to write a newsletter that has news like this in it:

Hub: How to Write a Bad News Business Letter

Awesomely awesome... I think the newsletter is just great and I look forward to reading it every week.
If your looking for extra stuff... How about an added feature such as highlighting a "long-timer". You know a hubber who's been writing on hubpages since the beginning and is still *active* now. Some of the old hubs are just great, I know because I'm forever digging around back there in the archives. A lot of those old hubs really are worth to get dusted off and re-read by todays members.
Just an idea for you to mull over 'Communicator of Awesomeness!' aka marketing manager
    regards Zsuzsy

Welcome!  You have a lot of energy and know about a Canadian actor, you'll do just fine here.

I look forward to the newsletter.  Can't think of anything off the top to change, but Zsuzsy's idea sounds like a cool one.  I don't even know how the longtimers are unless I happen to run into them by chance.

By the way, my sister is an expert air guitarist.  She's played in a lot of bars.  smile

I was going to post a Hub here soon with some more info and maybe video from the championships...like this pic of me, my sister(in Awesome's crotch) and my girlfriend.

So I, like, totally think awesome is the most awesome word ever.  I use awesome, dude, and totally a lot, but come on: I'm from California.

Newsletter feedback: I like it, but it would be fun to twist it up a bit.

Maybe you could add a small section about "little known facts about hubpages" or "Meet the Quirky Hubteam" --apparently you have the photos for it.

And, uh, get SunSeven a freaking newsletter already.  Seriously.

Oh, and Maddie: the oatmeal and baking soda has left my face feeling so soft and smooth.  I can't stop touching it, which I know I should, but I can't help it.

Stacie, so you're saying that we're 'quirky'?

I guess it's about time we should have a magazine published on the web so we can enjoy reading from the web. It would be AWESOME.
