Hello, happy Monday!  And let's make it a happy week writing about more celebrations and discovering new cultures from around the world.  Last week we finished our British HubMobs with the Scottish HubMob which gathered a total of 54 Hubs.  This week we are crossing the ocean and travelling to warmer lands to take part in the 5 de Mayo celebrations and to discover the Mexican culture.        http://i32.tinypic.com/2mqm2k8.jpg

Although not the Mexican Independence Day, the 5 de Mayo is an occasion of ethnic pride celebrated throughout Mexico and the United States.  So this year we are going to join in the celebrations and we are going to discover the richness of the Mexican culture and its contribution to the world.  As it is a wide topic, please make sure that you categorize your hub correctly according to your chosen subtopic. Some ideas for a HubMob hub about Mexico and the 5 de Mayo celebrations are:

    Cinco de Mayo springtime events
Cinco de Mayo celebrations in USA
Cinco de Mayo celebrations around the world
    Mexican food and drinks
    Mexican history
    Mexican music
    Mexican independence
    Places to visit in Mexico
    Mexican actors, musicians, writers, painters...
The Mexican  influence in American culture

To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:

    1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the Answer the Request green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines.

    3. If necessary change the category on your hub to best suit your topic.

    4. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/46460/hubm … ew&rss  For more information on how to add the RSS feed to your hub you can click here

    5. Add the HubMob graphic below to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.

    http://i43.tinypic.com/rup3mg.jpg

    6. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.  Take advantage of the free publicity!

If you are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one  please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.

LPogue did you go to Princessa's hub on how to load the graphic and RSS?  Did you save the graphic from to your computer?

You could message someone on the Hub Staff.  Maddie Ruud is our HP staff person.  You could also see who's around in the Help forum.  I think Larry Freeman is active there.

Just one mention: when I put in the rss feed:
    http://hubpages.com/question/46460/hubm … ew&rss

it works when in preview mode, but when I publish it says that
This does not appear to be a valid RSS feed.

    Am I doing something wrong?

click the link to the rss feed then copy the link in your browser and paste it from there ... it will work then ... thats what i had to do

Hi, it looks like your RSS feed is still not working.  Are you using an RSS feed capsule?  Try pasting this link in it: http://hubpages.com/question/46460/hubm … ew&rss

or click on the above link which will take you to the RSS feed page.  From there, copy the URL at the top of the page (it is the same as above) and copy it in your RSS feed capsule.
Good luck with it and thank you for taking part in the HubMob smile

This is my first Hubmob post, so I have fingers crossed that I understood all the rules.

The link to my Hubmob post is:

I could not get the Hubmob image to load.  I waited nearly an hour for it to upload, but decided to go ahead and publish without it.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Please remember to categorize your hubs under the category that suits best your topic. For example, if you are writing a recipe, you might want to categorize it under world cuisines rather than under my set category "Holidays".  If you are writing about places to visit, you would be better under a travel category and so on...

Good categorization makes it easier for readers to find your hub.

oh sorry about that! you will have to make another hub, then  cut and paste every capsule if you want that to happen, but then the original hub should be deleted and if you delete a hub it is effective after one day! you might have a duplicate,
