My youngest grandchild, Amelia, is in the hospital with coronavirus in her upper respiratory tract, a urinary tract infection, and pneumonia. On top of all that, she's cutting her first tooth. The poor baby's fever reached almost 107!
I can't believe all the problems my family and good friends have been having. In just the past couple of months, we've dealt with all the following:
Hubby in Critical Care with his heart
son-in-law (Amelia's father) had to have an emergency appendectomy
youngest daughter had to have an emergency appendectomy - on her birthday
middle daughter (Amelia's mother) had a rare, life-threatening kidney infection
I had to have knee surgery
a very good friend broke her hip
one of our best friends had a stroke
another one of our best friends had to have two stents
another friend was diagnosed with melanoma
my mom's best friend died
one of my friends died
our long-time neighbor died
Our dogs haven't been left out, either. Last week, Sparky was bleeding from the rectum because he got into some Easter grass.
Ugh. Just writing about it has made me tired and depressed.
I'm truely sorry to hear about all of your family problems and sincerely hope and pray your granddaughter recovers quickly as well as your other loved ones.
May your precious grandchild be healed and get well soon. My heart and prayers will be with you always.

This certainly explains where you have been.
Lord give this girl strength, healing and wisdom to know what to do for her family when so many are in great need.
That's an overwhelming number of life events way too close together.
Thinking positively, your family seems to be amazingly resilient and strong!
Sending prayers for your granddaughter and all of you who love her.
Keep us posted -- as I know you will.
Our prayers are with you and your family Habee.
Sending you love and hugs.
Dear God, Habee - are you sure it is coronavirus? It has been big news here recently due to a new case, and it was reported last month that there have only been 11 cases worldwide.
Has there been an outbreak in your area? It seems to stem from the Middle East. Has any of your family been in contact with someone from there?
Sending all my best thoughts to your little one x
Hi, Izzy. Apparently, there are numerous strains of coronavirus. The one Amelia has isn't rare. In fact, according to the CDC, almost everyone gets infected with some coronavirus at some point in their life. The one you mention must be a rare strain.
I am so sorry for all of your problems. It has been a rough, rough, hell of a year for it seems like everyone. My family has lost a grandfather, an aunt, a cousin, and a mother all in the past year. Just a few days ago a family friend passed away from cancer. He was only two years old. This world is full of miserys and all we can do is try to stay positive that it will get better. Sending many positive thoughts your way... Hang in there.
Habee, I would be a basket case in your situation. I will be thinking about your little one and hoping for a good outcome. Surely your run of problems must be coming to an end.
Very sorry to hear of this problem with your granddaughter.
I will say a quick prayer for her.
Oh, Habee - I'm so sorry yet more problems have hit your family! I remember several of those scares. You have my prayers, dear friend. Stay strong!
We're wishing you and your family all the best, habee! Do take care!!
Thinking of you and yours, habee. May tomorrow be a better day for all of you.

Sincere thanks to all of you! The baby is better today. Her fever is down to 101, and her white blood count is back in the normal range. She's drinking today, too. Yay!
I really feel like the HP community is part of my extended family, and it always makes me feel better when I "share" with you guys. I guess it's comforting to know that so many hubbers are "in our corner." Again, thanks, thanks, thanks!!
Love and prayers coming your way. If I had a way to get to GA right now to hug and comfort you all and hell, even do some housework and cooking to keep you all from having to do anything, I'd jump on down and help out. Till then, I'm praying and wishing you all well and sending virtual hugs. Holle, you are one tough cookie, and obviously, you've passed it on to your children, who have, in turn, passed it on to theirs.
All my best.
How far is where you are from Jacksonville, Florida?
Hope everyone mends and gets well soon. Be Strong. You are in my thoughts. xx
Dear habee, my prayers are with you and your grandchild and with all your loved ones. Have courage dear. All days are not the same. Good days are just round the corner. Keep faith in God.
Our prayers are with your Grand daughter and all your loved ones... Take care of your health too..
Thinking of you and yours... Hope everything is settling down. Prayers ongoing.

Earlier this evening, my daughter went to the ER because she was having terrible stomach cramps. When I arrived, she was in a hospital bed holding a dead baby. It was a perfectly formed, beautiful baby girl, about 10 inches long. I didn't even know she was pregnant. We're all heartbroken. I can't...
