My name is tate4christ, im not the greatest writer, but im a rookie. Take a look and see if i have potential. Thank you for your time. God Bless.
If you believe you have potential, find your voice and obstinately speak your truth. What others think then almost doesn't matter.
City Poetry and Commuter Verses

The sky has fallen again.
It fell for two days this time
and ran all over the ground in azure rivulets and cerulean streams.
*
And puddled up pale blue eyes stared up at a November sky
and cried and cried
***
The sky is back again today
*
We visited the moon in a
broken down Ford and bought stars to carry home
and raised a tree and set a shining star upon its crown.
*
In the window by my seat
I see myself screaming down the road
in the belly of a steel beast
with the fire from the east as a constant companion.
I am not sure this is still relevant from the number of responses here but what the heck. Always use another reader ...

There are few hubs and the bible poem is the only one posted I am particularly proud of.
I write a lot of poetry and I hope that you will check out my work. Thanks!
I usually write poetry, but I have a couple other great pieces of work. Check it out sometime, and I'll do the same.
Well hello there.
I don't consider myself much of a poet. I actually prefer to write fiction but as a teen I tried my hand at poetry and I have published a good number of them here on hubpages. Feel free to read as you like
I'm happy to join the forum of poets

I am and avid writer of poetry and short stories. I'm new to hubpages so come follow me if you like!
I am new in here and would like you to check a few of my poems that I wrote. Let me know what you think . Thank you
Being brawny does you no good my friend, if you have no brains... the small man out does the big man every time, with wisdom....
Only if you did so with a set of lines like Cyrano de Bergerac
Evening all,
I have a few poems posted at present and no doubt there will be a few more to follow. I hope you enjoy them. x
I've never called myself a poet, but I write my idea of poetry. I published my first a week ago. Others are in various stages~in my head, on bits of paper, in my phone memo, in my email and a couple in progress on here. If you read one, and at the moment I only have one (poem?), let me know if you think it is poetry.
Many Blessings,
Kim
I'm not sure that I'm classified as a poet but I write what I feel, whenever I feel it. http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Light-Shines
I have a couple of poems that i wrote a few years ago but i will be writing more!!
I like to read and write poetry and have published two poems here at HubPages.
My latest attempt at verse is "Interview with Lady Godiva." You can check out this "supernatural" interview at: http://hubpages.com/t/1f7de5
Add me to the list, i write poems too. Have a read and then follow if u wish.

Like many, I would not really consider myself a poet but just published my first poen on Hub Pages and love poetry!!!!
I've just joined up about a day ago. As for writing poetry, I have been at it for years. My initial goal was to acquire a few hundred or so of my writings that I felt were good enough to me, to get them published. One day, I erased all of them and went on hiatus for a couple of years. I've recently started back up with writing again. Anyways, I regret erasing all of the work I had completed, but perhaps this time around, my work will be more satisfying I should say in my eyes.
My name is Mike and I hope to make some friends on here, I currently have a couple of poems up and I'm sure there will be more to come soon. Aside from writing poetry, I may get into other topics and see how my luck goes with that.
I've done that many times myself... written books worth, only to destroy them, its amazing which ones survive and float to the surface when I least expect them... more valuable to myself after all of that!
Hello fellow poets. I just joined recently and have published a few of my poems. I started writing them for the love of my life and she suggested that I get them published. I never really considered them for anyone but her.
I posted a poem its called snow day I think oh and I did one about the desert but I cant remember what that one is called!
Hi, nice to meet everyone. I have a few poems on my page, i hope everyone likes them. I have been published a couple of times, with noble house publishing. In anthology volumes. Only been on here 5 months and still have a lot to work out but having fun doing it.
Already I have met, some amazing poets and writers. It has been a great experience and has become quite habit forming.
If I was writing with a pen, I would have a hand cramp by now lol.
Good luck to everyone, with your hubs.
Take care
Hi everyone, nice to meet you! well I enjoy expressing myself through poetry throughout the warmer seasons, I find myself action-painting during winter....I guess my poems can be rather abstract aswell:-)) I have posted a few if your interested to read.
I wish I could add everyone on this thread by one click.
Wow! There's alot of poets on here. I'm glad I found this.....and I'll be glad if someone finds me...
tnderhrt23 checking in. Poetry is my passion, both to write and to read. I love Hubpages and read alot of hubs and leave alot of comments! This is the place to BE!
Hello,
I write poetry sometimes and stories... I only have one posted so far. My writing isn't very good though.
Anyone brave enough to put their feelings down on paper for others to see, read and feel is good enough. That's why we write to begin with. At least that's why I write.
hi, I'm a poet on here, interested to meet up with people! :-)
I am not much of a poet but I did post some songs that I wrote. I saw your post and was interested.
I just joined HubPages yesterday, and have many pieces of writing over the years. I plan on publishing them all eventually. Please check some of them out and feedback is wonderful. Thanks :]
I don't write poetry per se but I do write verse. Check out my "Interview with Lady Godiva".
I am new to putting my poetry out there for others to see and it was a bit frightening at first, but now I am starting to really enjoy it. It's very exciting (?) when someone else reads what you have written and "gets it". Plus it's such a great outlet for getting the emotions out there.
Love writing and love reading....so I am truly enjoying Hubs!
I am a poet and have posted plenty, I have published my own book too, for any of you poets out there try blurb.com to publish, if you do not have or want to pay for an agent, its much cheaper than the old printing press publishers, and you can edit and create the entire book yourself, its a blast!
Thanks for the info on blurb. I started trying to publish my own books and it can get expensive if you don't know where to look on line.
Hi I'm a poet and have posted my poems up on hubpages. Come and have a read if you like.
I used to write poetry but stopped. Every once in a while I'll get into a mood and the thoughts start flowing again. Lately I've been writing through my cat and the story of, "My Cat Slept With Me, has a songish poem in it. I'd enjoy hearing what you thought about it.
Paws For Peace.
I consider this my best work.

I love to write - especially poetry.. Hope many will read and comment
Here's a preview

Do you consider yourself to be a true Poet?If so please explain what certifies you as such, you can draw from your writers experience here on Hubpages, or from your true life on the ground of writing for the shear love of poetry. (No spammy answers though with links or the likes.) Note: The purpose...

Hi everyone!I have lots of poems that I am considering putting on here, some long and some fairly short. Is there a minimum word count for writing on hubpages. Thanks.x

We all know the well known poets on here. What I want to know is who is YOUR favorite lesser known poet that needs some recognition? Here are a couple of my favorite lesser known poets:KFlippinMrDSpadegg.zainoAwful Poet

I'm interested in poetic process. I personally believe the real writing comes in the editing stage and that all first drafts, without exception, are abysmal. As a result, I edit and rewrite a piece multiple times over days and sometimes weeks before I deem a poem acceptable for...
