   Hey Surfeitt!!  Welcome!  You'll find many wonderful poets here and if you search the forums, there have been a few threads from the past that include the names of various poets.
   
   I read I*N*V*I*C*T*U*S, lxxy, Manlypoetryman, Fastfreta, Ralwus, Cris A, Crazdwriter, Richieb799, ek ellis, Tom Cornett, Sara Tonyn, Kimberlylyrics, Deepthought, Motoricio, SnookieCollins, CabinGirl (if and when she comes back -- awesome writing!!) -- these are just a sample of the great talent here.  Apparently, some of these people read mine too!

   I have four poems on HubPages but I got cold feet, as I really know nothing about how to write poetry and what the rules are.  So when someone pointed out that they couldn't understand my rhyme scheme I felt my ignorance was exposed to the whole world and felt a bit foolish and stopped trying. I have not been back to those hubs for quite a while until the other day when I found that someone had left a kind comment and so I am going to give it another go.

    Hi everyone! I'm pretty new to Hubpages and I'm really happy I found this thread. I was worried there would not be a big audience for poetry on here, but it looks there are many poets willing to share. I've posted a few poems on here so far but I'll be adding more as time goes on.     Thanks for this post. Would love to read the works of other poets and learn something new. I write mostly satires and love poems when the mood is there. But when the moon is full I write dark poems.

    My favorite poems are not the ones that I have written but those which I have read. I've been known to rhyme from time to time and sometimes I feel as if I have written poetry. Read Blossoms if you like Haiku, Accelerate, an acrostic poem, etc.

    I have been writing dark poetry for a year now. I am currently compiling a book to be published. It is not a career for me, but a hobby. Behind my dark lyrics, lay a world of possibilities. I am not out to be well known but to provoke people to think outside of the box. Many of my poems contain dual metaphors that anyone can identify with at least at one point in their life. My words are bold, and for good reason too. Think outside the box. Look beyond the words on paper and discover endless possibilites.

    I used to write dark poetry... but it was all lost to a Black Hole.. I'll never put so much energy into writing anymore after getting arrested for creating the vortex

    Ok that was pitiful, but I do write poems along with songs. I only have one piece posted, but plan to post more. I've been working on some rather interesting poems. One in particular is about hubpages and the hubbers on it. You may be included haha. Look forward to being your follower.
