Spanky didn't want to enforce the sanctions and has been delaying them as long as possible. Unfortunately for Spanky, he couldn't veto the bill. Where in the hell do you get this stuff from?

  It's true that severe mental/emotional disabilities are more obvious in a face-to-face setting, since various other symptoms would present themselves visually, as well as in speech mannerisms. But they are also obvious in print.

Well, let's look at the evidence. We have a person who lacks emotional control, who cannot sustain a fact-based dispassionate discussion, whose thinking consists largely of fantasy. He also seems to have an amazing amount of free time and unlimited computer access. Where would you find such a person? Very often in an institutional setting.

The reason I'm alert to this type of thing is that this has happened to me before. A couple of years ago I was having an online political discussion with a former high school classmate (Fred) when suddenly about four of his "friends" piled into the discussion, which quickly went sideways and degenerated into personal insults, irrational outbursts, unfounded accusations, and demented rants.

After spending some time carefully avoiding allowing my own comments to descend to that level, one of the "friends" commented that he couldn't believe someone like me could live independently. Since prospects for independent living are not something that most of us have on our minds--and given that Fred's friends' discourse was suggestive of mental/emotional instability--I guessed that I was conversing with a small group of people who were gathered around a computer in the group home where Fred did volunteer work. Fred confirmed this.

So basically, when it comes to Jake, this is a "been there, done that" situation for me.

  It shows that what done has done in the past doesn't necessarily stay in the past. Had he not run for president, things would not have come up. When you have to pay to (unsuccessfully I might add) shut it down, it shows how easily one can be blackmailed or urged to do illegal acts.

The Office of Government Ethics determined Wednesday that Cohen’s payment to Daniels, which Trump repaid last year, constituted a loan that should have been reported on the president’s June 2017 financial disclosure form. Trump did disclose the liability in a footnote to the form he filed Tuesday. The note claimed he did not have to make the disclosure, but was doing so anyway “in the interest of transparency.”

In a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, acting OGE Director David Apol wrote, “You may find the disclosure relevant to any inquiry you may be pursuing regarding the president’s prior report that was signed on June 14, 2017.”

Knowingly and willfully falsifying or omitting required information on the financial disclosure form can be prosecuted as a criminal offense, punishable by as long as a year in jail.

Whenever you hear the Trump "enablers" say there is no proof of collusion with Russia, then how does that fit into the fact that Jared Kushner, Don Jr. and Paul Manafort were seen in Trump Tower with 2 Russians, one of whom was American investor Bill Browder, whose "illegal scheme of buying up Gazprom shares without permission of the Government of Russia" between 1999 and 2006, one month after Republican Rohrabacher returned from Moscow.

Browder spilled his guts and enraged Putin. As most of us recall, Browder was a friend of Sergei Magnitsky, whom Putin had murdered because Magnitsky was a tax accountant who was investigating a $230 million fraud involving Russian tax officials.

Stormy Daniels lawyer, Michael Avenatti was asked last night by Anderson Cooper why he is going after Trump. Anderson asked, "is this for your client Stormy Daniels or for some other purpose?"

Avenatti replied, As a law professional, I am required to defend my clients. If in doing my research I find something illegal, I am bound by my law license to report it. I do this for my client and for my country."

  We all know how fall guys don't like to sit in prison longer than they have to. This is where Trump's distancing himself from Cohen will have Cohen spilling his guts.
  
  Trump has not authority over the southern district court of NY. Already Amy Berman Jackson has thrown out the pleadings from Cohen's lawyer. She wrote that Cohen wants it both ways. He wants to stop the federal and the state investigation when there is no merit and too much evidence.
  
  It is not possible to imagine Trump not knowing where Cohen was spending money, Trump's or Cohen's. Trump has made a legacy of knowing where every dime of his money goes and what his employees are doing on his behalf.

I know my evaluation of Jake sounds a little harsh, but one gets very damn tired of having online conversations with the institutionalized cohort of the population presenting themselves online as serious contributors to the conversation.

As far as I know, Trump has never lived in a group home or been otherwise institutionalized; whereas, the only time I have ever encountered written material similar to Jake's offerings is from people living in a group home.

BTW, I always treat people with mental disabilities with kindness and consideration in public, and make it a point to speak to them. What I won't do is allow them to engage me in conversations requiring mental acuity.

  There are a lot of mentally ill people who have never been institutionalized. My sister is bipolar. We tried to get help for her. Brenda Tyree, intake person at State Hospital, said "Unless she hurts someone else or herself, there is nothing we can do!" That was 1998. In 2007 she killed her friend at our family home. She went to prison and got out. She received no help. She chooses to be homeless and denies her diagnosis.
  
  Back to diagnosis of Trump, a body of learned clinicians diagnosed him. If he only goes to doctors who compliment him on his genes, he will never get the help he may need.

  I think it's quite a bargain spending money investigating how our elections can be influenced by foreign entities. OKay, Diane, you think the US taxpayer should continue to subsidize Amazon. Great call!

Incidentally, the reason you can get free shipping from China is because the US taxpayer is paying China's shipping costs. This is why it cost you a fortune to ship a gift to your daughter in a neighboring state, but shipping halfway around the world from China is free.

Hence, if you are an American business that ships products to customers, you will have a hard time competing with that free shipping from China. You will also have a hard time competing with Amazon. They get taxpayer-subsidized cheap shipping and you don't.

  From what I've just read, there are many problems which plague USPS - parcel package delivery is the profitable side of the business. First class mail is the loser and thus the price keeps going up. Far fewer people are sending first class mail. I might use 1 stamp a month because I do online banking and communicate with most people on social media. I communicate with elderly relatives by telephone. I haven't written a letter in years and don't send Christmas cards.
  
  Amazon, like other large companies, get a bulk discount according to the contract they sign every year. Simpleton president should know that you can't raise someone's rates during the life of the contract. People go to Costco to get bulk discounts. The attractiveness of the bulk discounts helps the large shippers as well as provide business to USPS.
  
  USPS has to figure out a way to be more profitable and provide benefit to customers. Trump is really busy trying to get Chinese workers jobs - ZTE. He is truly the chaos president. He changes his mind without notice so it is never a surprise when his position changes.

  There are several key points to consider, as far as whether the low USPS rates offered to Amazon and other large companies should be permitted.
  
  One, yes, the "sweetheart deal" rates that USPS gives Amazon are the products of negotiations between Amazon and USPS. Two, it has been argued that USPS is not really great at negotiating deals and has a little tendency to "give away the shop."
  
  So WHY is the USPS such a lousy negotiator? There are two reasons for this, the reason being that, unlike other package delivery services like UPS or FedEx, USPS is under no constraints to operate profitably--or even to operate at break-even. In fact, USPS operates at a massive loss of billions of dollars a year. Hence, USPS is under no constraint to negotiate profitable, or even break-even deals with Amazon and others. They are free to lose as much money as they want (unlike FedEx or UPS). No worries about going bankrupt and closing down; the taxpayer will pick up the tab.
  
  Third, the USPS's ONLY pricing constraint, as near as I can figure out, is the Postal Regulatory Commission will not allow USPS to set its rates so low that it loses money on delivering packages--hence putting UPS and FedEx out of business. Government is a third party to such negotiations, in the sense that they presumably put a floor under how low USPS can go when offering deals to companies like Amazon.
  
  So there are two more questions here. One is whether the Postal Regulatory Commission's "floor" is too low. The other is whether it is appropriate for USPS to be offering "sweetheart deals" on package delivery to Amazon and other large corporations at all.
  
  As a matter of public interest there are a couple of reasons to question this offering of "sweetheart deals." If USPS were a private company operating at a profit (or at least at break-even), this would be nobody's business but their own, since taxpayers would not be on the hook to pick up their losses. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Americans in the aggregate must pay for USPS's continual bleeding of red ink, and we are hence involuntary participants in such deals, in that we are compelled to pay for any resulting losses.
  
  There are actually arguments pro and con as to whether USPS is making money on this cut-rate package delivery. An analysis of this question would be too lengthy to post here.   Coming back to the matter of "public interest" in allowing USPS to negotiate "sweetheart deals" with Amazon and others, there is the issue of whether such low package delivery rates, which give a competitive advantage to very large corporations may not, in effect, confer a monopoly or monopolies on large corporations (through the intermediary of the quasi-governmental entity of USPS)--and whether this is a violation of anti-trust laws.
  
  There was a time in the US--not that long ago--when companies like Amazon would have been broken up under anti-trust laws--as opposed to being enabled by permitting a quasi-government entity (USPS) to offer them competitive advantages over other businesses.

  Good link. Bottom line, seems to me, is about what I already assumed: Amazon is doing what Amazon (and UPS, Fedex, etc.) are good at and are set up to do. USPS is doing what IT is good at and set up to do. All gain that way, as their specialties are being used to the best effect.
  
  The problem is that we are now requiring that Amazon (and UPS) be asked to cover the fixed costs USPS already has covered; to subsidize what they already do with the additional volume. While this is already being done - USPS makes a modest profit on Amazon packages - the reasoning is that it is not enough subsidy. Sounds like typical government thinking; increase business costs until it is no longer profitable and then watch as government costs rise when business goes elsewhere. Increase Amazon's subsidy of first class mail far enough and they won't use USPS at all, whereupon the cost of first class mail loses the subsidy and rates go up.

I think it would be fruitful to address this "lying" issue that some here continually bring up--though invariably without mentioning specific instances. (Or almost invariably, as I may have missed something.)

There are few people who are more particular about lying, including lack of precision in speech, than I am.

I got started making a conscious effort to be precisely truthful in all matters, large and small, nearly forty years ago. The way this got started was, when I was a young mother of small children, we had a neighbor lady who was in her eighties who often mentioned that it was her firm belief that you should never lie to your children, and I realized that she was right about that.

One of the first things you notice when you decide never to lie is that this is a lot more trouble than you thought it would be. You have to continually stop and think about whether what you are about to say is actually true, instead of just jabbering away on autopilot.

One of the main results of applying this discipline to yourself is that you become more and more aware that nobody else seems to be doing this. After a few years, you realize that almost nothing anyone says is strictly true--and that there is a large percentage of people who are actually pathological liars.

I've probably known about five people in my entire life who were not, at a minimum, habitual liars. Three of them are my daughters, because they were raised to be truthful and precise in speech--and they've gone through this same experience of realizing how almost everyone is habitually untruthful. Or, in many cases, people simply don't know what they're talking about but are trying to make you think they do know what they're talking about.

The other two out of the five people I've known who never--or almost never, to my knowledge--lied were the aforementioned old lady and one of my childhood friends. Both the old lady and my childhood friend were part Cherokee. Not lying was a personal point of honor with them. (I would caution everyone here not to get the idea that Native Americans in general do not lie. You would be surprised and disappointed on that score.)

The bottom line here is that to accuse Trump--or really almost anyone--of lying is to accuse them of a near-universal human fault. I consider it a substantial fault, but I seriously doubt that most of those leveling this accusation genuinely consider it a substantial fault in themselves or in pursuit of their own interests, or have ever, personally, made a conscious effort to be truthful in all things.

One of the major results of never making a strong conscious effort to be truthful is that you are giving yourself permission to live in a multi-layered fantasy world, in which you are incapable of knowing what the truth is. Every lie leads to more, and more elaborate, lies, to shore up previous lies. This leads to a condition of "not knowing straight up from straight down when it's raining."

I won't say that accusing Trump of lying is an insubstantial accusation, but in terms of general human behavior, you might as well accuse him of sweating.

  My Answer to what I know about the Mueller Investigation: I can only wish that when the feds investigate by business dealings ,That I get a letter of exoneration before the actual investigation begins TOO , Like the FBI and DOJ gave Hillary Clinton ? And then I too can then claim my innocence while my wife meets with the head of the DOJ on the airport tarmac for an hour , I TOO can say "............They were merely talking about our grandbabies" .
  
  Of course I also want my followers in the FBI to also obstruct , plan and execute the evidentiary fact and fantasy about the ongoing investigation . I even think that I have a private server in my closet that may or may not be breaking federal regulations . However, anyone with common sense would realize at each and every turn of the Mueller investigation when he found that someone had broken the law he charged them. If Mueller at any point had evidence that the president of the United States broke the law, and actually conspired with a rogue nation for any reason... Am I to believe to understand you think Mueller would sit on it, and let the President go on his "merry way". Making decisions that not only affect America but the world?
  
  Randy, he has nothing... In fact, as I have stated it is most likely worse than one can imagine. With a year of investigating any and all that walk on two legs in Washington, he most likely dug up the ridiculous scam to make every attempt to keep Trump out of the WH. And assure Hillary a win.   Randy, I have never commented on President Trump's honesty. I think I have been clear that I am under the impression most politicians are innately dishonest. I will say Trump is transparent and does not mince words. I think I have also admitted I was well aware he was a womanizer, and I could list many of his faults. I voted for his agenda, and much needed change. I was very unhappy with the direction the country was headed. I felt this man would be transparent, and he has not disappointed. Is my brand of common sense not common? I would say no, I got everything I expected. He is doing a good job, he is keeping promises, and making every attempt to keep to his agenda. My common sense tells me he is a good president. He has been hit with everything that "they" can hit him with. He still gets the job done. It's time to realize he won, he is not going away. He did nothing other than being himself. I am asking all the Trump haters a question in regards to the Mueller investigation. I guess I am once again relying on common sense.

Do the laws of the land mean anything? When a campaign is coordinating with a foreign government, do you think that should be investigated? I sure do. Papadopolous bragging to allies abroad about getting hacked information would certainly warrant an inquiry. So they likely sent someone to inquire. Spying? That's some serious word twist to make his faithful look in another direction away from his campaign's violation of election laws.

This Government conspiracy is unfolding quickly, and it is the ugliest I have seen in my lifetime. Mueller has found nothing to indicate Trump did anything. However, over the weekend we find that the FBI had an undercover person in the Trump campaign. This is disgusting. if the FBI had proof enough to place a spy in the Trump campaign in July 2016, Mueller certainly should have been able in a years time to at least explain why that would have been necessary. This bunch has been caught red-handed. They had no cause to believe Trump was doing anything with the Russians. They just wanted to make an attempt to obstruct the election and make sure Hillary would win. They have dug themselves a big hole. And Trump will get to the bottom of it.

Why we think you're brainwashed is that the FBI, CIA, and DOJ only got involved after the Trump Campaign had contact with Russians and they obviously assisted in getting him elected.

If you don't see any issue with those contacts between his campaign and then the hostile foreign government working in his favor, followed by him changing the GOP platform in their favor, refusing to enforce sanctions against said government, or his business ties to that government, then you've bought into the treason that many of us see.

Cohen has filed a case against Stormy for breaking a non-disclosure agreement. Which is a very cut and dry case. She broke it against her prior attorneys advice. She trusted a con attorney Michael Avenatti, and went ahead and broke the agreement. The two have since set up a fund me page to more or less make cash. Do you think the other's that are working on the investigation (about 150) will be willing to comply with hiding findings to suit a given party? Your theory is very flawed. Why not English use? When the man admits to Obstruction of Justice on national television, then again in the Oval Office, then tweets about how he intends to do it again, the charges are coming. Is there a medium he hasn't used yet? Perhaps he could write a letter to Mueller telling him how he plans to impede the investigation or send a carrier pigeon. Smoke signals might be a nice touch.

  My question is about a president that has the power to make decisions that affect the country as well as the world. There is absolutely no comparison. Hillary Clinton had and has no power to affect anyone due to decision making, but herself. In regards to Hillary being guilty of a crime, I think Comey made it very clear she broke several laws. How did he put it? "No prosecutor would prosecute her".
  
  So, it appears to me you might be realizing the tables are turning. Now that it appears Mueller has not found anything you have responded in a very predictable way and made an attempt to deflect. It is clear my question made you think.

Supply a reference? How out of the information loop are you? These are public statements made by Trump and are easily searchable.

As for your argument, the simple rebuttal is that each thread tugged at pulls out more incriminating dirt and Mueller is going to bury Trump with the massiveness of it all to the point that he cannot escape an impeachment. Money laundering, collusion, obstruction of justice, knowingly filing falsified financial documents/campaign finance issues relating to the Stormy payoff, pay-to-play with Cohen. Take your pick.

Even though they've never had anything to do with an investigation of this importance--or even one at all--they opine what they think is common sense. Spanky's voters are just like him in many ways so I suppose it's no surprise they are ignorant of the way an investigation is carried out.

It's not like he's charging the coffee boy with a crime here. If one is to charge the President of the United States, the case better be airtight and the process is complicated. Watergate took two years in comparison.

A second factor to consider is that to get impeachment, Congress will be needed. Congress has shown itself to be compromised, especially based on the comical House Intelligence investigation run by Nunes. Waiting until after midterms when the minority party always flips seats could be another strategy to help cement any charges Mueller is considering filing.

So between all the avenues of criminal activity, the complexity of the position he's investigating, and the help he'll need to get action from those charges, I've given you three avenues to offset your fairly valid point.

  Mueller cannot remove the President from office. All he can do is present a case. The more compelling the case,the greater the chance the perpetrator will be removed from office. It would be a waste of time and money to bring an incomplete case to Congress and the American people.

Randy, No, I don't think Mueller found nothing due to info not leaking. I had hoped my question was clear. It's my opinion Mueller as of yet has not found any evidence that Trump committed a crime. It is my opinion that if he had found a crime he would take steps immediately to either go through channels to indite him or hand it all over to the DOJ immediately. So, they could start an impeachment process.

I am acquainted with both Nixon and Clinton's impeachments. Neither had anything to do with conspiring with a foreign nation such as Russia. I consider your retort meager at best. Conspiring with a rogue nation is far more serious than a real estate scam or a crook trying to spy on a political party. Yeah, a bit familiar is it not?

No, I did not think Hillary Clinton was innocent from the very first days of the investigation when an FBI agent physically removed an illegal server from her home. All the rest is whip cream on top... She broke the law by having the illegal server. So simple... Although this fact was pushed as far down as they could push it, never to surface. If this would have been someone else in Government they would have been charged. And let me also point out, Hillary was, not that we know of conspiring with Russia. She was not in a place of power sitting in the oval office making decisions that affect the world.

  I was stopped for speeding by a New York state trooper last tuesday , long story short, I handed him a piece of paper stating I had already been investigated for driving too fast and determined to Not have exceeded the speeding limits on all Tuesdays including last Tuesday .

  Let me put this in the simplest term. An actual live human being removed physically from an illegal server from her personal home. A server that she conducted Government business on. She broke the law literally. No, she was not charged. In my opinion, she broke the law by having that server and using it to conduct Government business. Was it the crime of the century, no. You asked me if I thought she broke the law. Yes, she did. And nothing you could say could change my opinion. No one is above the law, and if you feel some re, I guess that's your problem. I rely on proof. Like a fellow walking into Hillary's home and walking out with an illegal PC.
  
  As it stands today, President Trump has not been charged with a crime. There is no physical evidence or facts to prove a crime. I am not sure what you mean about Hannity and leaks. The only thing I have posted recently in regards to leaks. I found it funny they have oddly dried up since Horowitz released his report for those involved to have a look at before it is released to the general public. Otherwise, I don't take leaks seriously, so many have to be retracted.

  There is no hypocrisy with my logic... I have no reason based on facts to think Trump broke the law. He remains innocent due to no evidence or charges have been presented as of yet. If I become aware of a crime due to evidence presented, perhaps from the Mueller investigation. My opinion would surely change. I am not willing to condemn anyone of a crime without evidence.
  
  Again Hillary committed a crime. I have presented the crime. An illegal server was physically removed from her home. All the rest is icing on her cake. She was not held accountable for her crime. Now was she? Perhaps you think it a small crime? But none the less a crime. Yes, they have both been investigated. But Hillary's investigation started with a crime, actually several crimes.   Yes, I am aware that Trump reimbursed Cohen for 100 to 250 thousand dollars. Cohen billed the Trump for a loan obtained in 2016 in 2017. Trump paid him out of his own personal money. It is very clear this money was not from campaign funds. It is also clear that Gulianni stated Trump paid off SD to save his family from "pain and embarrassment". No one will ever be able to know Trump's motive. It certainly could have been campaign-related. However, Trump had already been proved by the Billy Bush tape to be a womanizer. And there were about 14 women at the time coming at him with sexual misconduct. He did not offer them up any cash? I think the circumstances of the SD sexcapade was different. TRump's wife was pregnant. He most likely is telling the truth about not wanting to hurt his family.
  
  I don't think he committed a crime paying off SD for her silence. NO campaign funds were used and with all the other sexual accusations, he did not care about how they would affect his campaign. Seems It would be very hard to prove intent.

There are many delusional people here that will be sadly disappointed when this whole Trump "investigation " finally shakes itself out and we are all forced to move on . For one there will be no impeachment of Trump , if there is in the distant future , it will be for minor infractions of one form or another !

Mueller is stepping way outside of bounds in his investigative allowances , Sessions is likely to be fired , Rosenstein as well . John Brennan may be in trouble with Comey , McCabe and a few others ....... It would take an actual White House murder to bring about the incredible step of a presidential impeachment .................. so keep on dreaming !

Obstructionists should prepare for major disappointments .All that will be accomplished by Trump resisters will be some minor obstructions of Trump's presidential agendas.
