I just read somewhere it could be a Trump/Palin ticket.
That leaves me speechless... but as you say, SNL will have a total romp. Not to mention Leno, Letterman, Conan, , Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert... I can see it now!

On Saddam Hussein: "Whether you like Saddam Hussein or not, and I don't -- he was a bad guy -- but he used to shoot the terrorists; he used to kill them. He didn't give them a trial like this country, where the trial lasts for 21 years. He used to shoot the terrorists and kill them. There were no terrorists, very little terrorists in Iraq."

On the Somali pirates: "Can you believe that these guys are taking tankers that are a thousand feet long and cost hundreds of millions of dollars, and just taking them with rowboats? It's a total lack of respect for this country, and maybe even for the world. Give me one good admiral and a few ships and I will wipe them out so fast."

In an interview on Fox News, Donald Trump defended making substantial donations to Democrats over the years.

Said Trump: "I've lived in New York. This building, this great tower, and many other great towers are here in New York. Everyone's Democratic. So what am I going to do -- contribute to Republicans? One thing: I'm not stupid. Am I going to contribute to Republicans for my whole life when they get heat when they run against some Democrat and the most they can get is 1% of the vote?"

"With Jim Hunter giving me hair styling tips, I'll get 90% of the chick vote"

OK, I made that last one up.

May be we all should change our hairstyle and wear it a-la Donald? I asked for $500 at my bank, and they said no. What a humiliation! I am definitely NOT a Donald trump, and they told me that. sad

Trump's a turd in the punch bowl.  Deposited there by the Soros owned Democrat party.

    * Levin — “Did he (Trump) go to a single rally? Did he contribute to a single Tea Party cause?”

    * (He’s given money to) Chuckie Schumer, Anthony Weiner, and Charlie Crist.
    * “I don’t see any contributions to Marco Rubio … he bet against Rubio twice.”

    * He gave $2,400 to Friends of Harry Reid.

    * But Trump says, “This is what a businessman does.” Levin: “What does a businessman do? Make unprincipled contributions to some of the most left-wing losers in the nation who are undermining our country? This is the new Tea Party candidate?”

    * Trump wrote in his 2000 book — “We must have universal health care.”

    * Trump wanted to impeach Bush for “lies” about the war in Iraq, calling him “so incompetent, bad and evil.”

It's not easy to define him by any single party label. I can tell you one thing: the Democrats don't mind at all that he's trying to make a serious presidential run. They know he's unlikely to get elected, and he's just going to make a mess of the Republican primary. He also agrees with the Democrats on many issues, unlike Palin or Huckabee, where there is almost zero common ground.
