If you could move to any country, next month, where would you go and why?

Tired of politicians wasting all your money, freezing your butt off in Alaska? Tired of drying out your socks- and your basement in Vermont?  Convinced the grass is greener on the other side? Think Sarah Palin might be the next President of the United States?

Tell everyone here where you would move! -out of U.S. options only.

I already moved! Four years ago -- from Arizona to the Philippines.

I shudder at the current political landscape, but the ways of man are limited.

I'd also be in the Philippines, my wife is Filipino the food is great and we already own land there so it is the long term plan anyways, but while I am still young working in the states is still a better option for right now.

It depends on where you mostly enjoy and want to live. For me, I would prefer to know the modern countries such as USA, Japan, Australia, Europe, and some others so that I could see how the other world aside from my country looks like.
But if you like my country, you can come and enjoy with so beautiful sightseeing and temples. Welcome warmly to come here !

Right now, Switzerland sounds really good because I'm sooo tired of the Texas heat. I've always wanted to see the Apls too, and we have friends there.

Next month,it would be Jamaica just because I know the ins and outs, how to get around and what area is okay for a single woman like me to live.  The downside would be schooling for my son,I would have to homeschool and find a tutor. Aside from the fact it never snows in Jamaica,I could live there comfortably and have no money worries.

I have a 5 yr plan now and I'm traveling to some other spots I've researched to expat to like Belize,Panama and Honduras.Because of health issues I really have no need for cold weather.

Croatia because that's home or possibly Italy (but it would have to be Rome or Florence) because the part of the country where I was born looks a lot like it (and the people are just as "crazy").

How long would I have to stay?  Because I've lived in Germany for 3 years and Saudi Arabia for 4 years, and I found living outside the U.S. has a shelf-life of about 2 1/2 years.  Then you want to come home to the convenience of the US of A.  No other country has it: drive- through everything, grocery stores and drug stores that stay open 24 hours a day, getting all the good stuff first (movies, books, music, fashion).  I might consider living in London for a year tops.  A place that speaks English matters more than you might expect.  Or Canada - I could come home when ever I was homesick!

The simple truth.............I can........at anytime that I want to.  It is not due to great riches, but to the simplicity of living...............I can pick up and go..........anytime that hubby and I agree to the "next place"............... I have already been in more places than I can recall.........our lives have been about " going" to the greener grass, the last best place............I have moved so much, that I am SICK of it........I detest the next 'goodbye'

I AM an American..........I will not leave my land , my home or HER...........I will not.

There is NO country that will bend over backwards to accomdate me , my needs, my faith, my "feelings", as the USofA does.....................

I challenge  you to find me one!

With all that is  wrong with the USofA...............the FACT is this...........there are far more people coming here, than leaving here.................WHY?

In the backwoods of Arkansas..................I met far more Californians.......than I would ever meet Arkansanans in California...........WHY.......

In my lifetime............I have met more people, who left the "city" for rural living, than I met farmers going to the "city".........

QUALITY of living................it says it all.

    I AM an American!
