Good morning HubMobsters,  I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine's weekend.  Our HubMobs on the LOVE topic have been going crazy during the Valentine's holiday and it is the second most viewed HubMob during a month among all the HubMobs we have done.   Now that is what I call spreading the love!

A big thanks to all of you who took part on last week's HubMob.  You have produced an amazing 37 HubMobs on education.  Like usual, these hubs are such good quality that several of them are featured on Google's first page.  Congratulations HubMobsters.

    http://x.hubpages.com/x/guide/4_21_profile.gif

This week, for a lighter and fun topic we are starting with a full pint of Guinness because this week's HubMob Weekly Topic is: St. Patrick's Day.  It is time to hub about Irish traditions, the fantastic parades in NY and San Francisco, Leprechauns, Irish beer, and of course the history of St. Patrick.

Some ideas for a HubMob are:

    -History of St. Patrick
    -The Myth
-The celebrations and festivities around the world to commemorate St. Patrick
    -Relevance of St. Patricks Day
-Traditions and symbols: The shamrock, the leprechaun and the blarney stone
    -Saint Patrick in literature
    -Irish beer
-Irish traditional food for St. Patrick's day, lucky Irish inspired recipes.
    -Irish Music and dances
-Saint Patrick's Day crafts and games for children
-Fun ideas for celebrating St. Patrick's Day at home

    To join this week's HubMob
    please follow the steps below:

    1. Come up with an amazing idea to write your Hub about Saint Patrick's Day.  Make the topic your own and feel free to have fun with it.  It's up to you on how you write your HubMob Hub.

    2. After you come up with your topic idea, click this link and answer the Request that I entered in for all of you HubMobsters.

3.Choose a relevant title for your HubMob and feel free to use the tags that I suggested and add your own tags.  To get a good ranking in the search engines make your title relevant to your hub content and avoid starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"

    3. Write an awesomely comprehensive Hub that completely covers your topic idea.

    4. Include this HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/request/10366/best/?rss

    5. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.  Take advantage of the free publicity!

    6. Keep track of your Hub and keep us updated on any traffic that you're getting and post some screenshots if you end up HubMobbing a few search keywords over on Google.

Yep, that's about it - have fun writing your HubMob Hub this week and please let us all know if you have any questions. Have fun, you crazy HubMobsters. smile

We didn't have any prizes lined up for last week's HubMob, so we didn't choose winners. Also, the image is on it's way -- I think that it's still enjoying the weekend. smile

    Hi  -

I'm new to the HubMob game and am excited to participate!  I created my hub last night:

    http://hubpages.com/hub/The-2009-St-Patricks-Day-Parade

It got me thinking about all of the parades in NYC for the major (and minor) holidays, and I may start a series.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

One of my hubs for the Hub Mob this week is a personal story.  I wanted to thank everyone who has commented on it, shared my story with their families, and for all the love and support I have recieved in regards to my story.

ProCW--  Thank you for making that amazing graphic for me!!!!  It was very touching, and I have proudly displayed it on my hub!!!

Patty--  Thank you for your insights, you compassion, and your hub on non-alcoholic drinks!!  Thank you for honoring my sister in such a wonderful way!!!

Dottie--  Thank you for sharing my story with your family, and for sharing with me, and the rest of the community, how my story touched your son, and allowed for an open and honest dialogue.  To know that my story has made a difference in one life is all I could ever want!!

To everyone in the HubPages community--  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write, which is something that I love to do, and for giving me the opportunity to share this story.  It means a lot to me that I am able to do this.  Thank you all for your support and your friendship.

Well, neither would be ideal, but I'd take a scorpion over a snake any day!  Of course, I've never actually seen scorpion.  How big are they?  I could probably step on one, right?

      1. Anna Marie Bowman profile image75
Anna Marie Bowmanposted 15 years agoin reply to this

That depends on the species of scorpion.  Some get pretty big, but most are small enough to be stepped on.  I would recommend wearing shoes, though.
