I have exactly 700 connections at the moment. The problem? Over 650 of them are total slackers.
It's getting to be a tough town over there, leastwise for me. And I've been a good little Bubbler as to treating my connections well.
Guess maybe I should start writing hubs instead...
I have over 4,500 connections and maybe one out of 50 return "favor" to my posts.
I think I need a new hobby and means to get rich.
I like to think of myself as an "involved slacker" thank you very much
What is your user name over there, I am a reformed slacker.
I took some time off but now I am back on there.
Not a good idea to exchange names. Bubblews gets perturbed at the appearance of "exchanges".
Meanwhile, I've earned my illustrious 50 cents for the day.
Made $4+ so far today, AND the day is still young!
I am the proud recipient of another 41 cents for the day. Contemplating taking up day trading.
I am only on the site writing and "socializing" one day a week at this time due to some increased work load with my "regular" job. However, that being said, I do make a minimum of $1.00 a day there doing nothing on material I have there. Most days it is well above $1.00 up to several dollars. When I am there and active I make a minimum of $5.00 per day. Lots of work involved, but it does accumulate and make for a good PayPal payout once or twice a month at a little over $50.00 each.
You earnings depend on how well you socialize on the site. I am sure by now you know that means liking other's posts, commenting on them and sharing them as well, hoping in return that they do the same for you.
What the original post is about is that you simply don't get anywhere near the returns for the amount of effort you put forth.
Agreed. For those who need immediate income and don't have any other options, at least it's money. But most people who make the effort to track their time there, estimate they're earning $1 or $2 per hour.
I've been a Bubblews slacker - but I really wanted to work on my hubs and I've got a few other projects in the works. Wish it was a little more residual over there instead of hands-on all the time. But I can change my ways! I think I've got Dale and Blonde as my bubbling friends. I'll be happy to connect AND it should help me stay motivated too.
Still blasting away at everyone in sight with their sound ads I see. Oh, well...
What's new with them, anyway? Haven't seen any bubbles about "the latest thing" in awhile... Last big thing I was aware of was the minimum $50.
Another bubble posted. Another tepid response. Zzzz...
I only use Bubblews to write on topics that will receive external ongoing visits now. It means less work and less reliance on connections.
New app reviews, latest hoaxes, etc.
Hi:
Are you allowed to share you own Bubblews on social network websites or should your followers be doing that!
You guys are right about that residual income. I actually do get some of that every day. That is indeed the way to go. I need to just concentrate on that going forward.
ALL RIGHT!
*did I get your attention?*
If you're on Bubblews post your bubble name and I will search for you (if the search option works).
I'm merej99 over there too & I'm pretty determined at this point to see about making payout there. I've got about $35 to go so I guess I need to stop being a couch potato and be a bubble now. LOL
This is a different forum so finding people here and adding them there shouldn't be an issue, right?
Too funny - I am sitting on $35.00 for a few weeks/months now too. I need to get motivated to snatch up that last $50.00 before they go away. lol. I am Kittydog over there. You will find my account hiding behind the cobwebs and dead leaves.
I'm NadineMay on Bubblews. Good idea to support other hub writers on Bubblews.
I finally caved today, and went over and joined. I've made $1.25 in about an hour, haha.
Well, at least that's more than I make here...
Most of you probably don't know me, since I don't post on the forums too often now, but if you want to connect with me there, I go by TammyC. I thought about using TamCor, but really am tired of it, after all these years, lol.
I think they give you the first $1. But, congratulations on making 25¢ per hour. Another 199 hours of work and you'll be at the $50 minimum payout on that website (IF you don't have problems receiving payment, which many people do).
Well, like I said before....it's more than I make here--I haven't had a Google payment in over 2 years--and that's combined with my husband's hub account. We've both deleted many of our hubs here now. At least over at Bubblews it's fast moving and entertaining so far.
And my husband has joined in the fun, also, making it even more enjoyable for me.
If you enjoy writing there, then you should do it. But if you are looking for income, it's probably not the best place.
It can be fun interacting on the site. My wife has been there with me as well. She joined about a month or so after I did. I joined in July of last year.
That's wonderful! I'll have to look you and your wife up. My husband goes by tommycornett on that site. He's been here on HP for years(Tom Cornett), but doesn't publish anymore, and has pulled the majority of his hubs. But he's loving the freedom he has over there now.
I do hope you're signed up for the HP Earnings Program?
Oh sure--I've been signed up since the beginning. I make some off of the program--I do better with Amazon sales than anything, but still not that much that I get a monthly payout.
That's why I'm attempting Bubblews. It's really fast-moving, but meeting more people from all over the world is fun to me, too, besides earning a little money at the same time.
My Russia/Ukraine/Crimea post got 22 twitter hits. As the illustrious WryLilt and others have said, topical news does indeed work. I wonder if there might even be some organic hits in my future on this one.
Woot Woot! I'm (ALMOST) half way to a payout there. Yes, I am at about $24 now. Been there just over a month and been making $3 a day over the last 2 days with consistent commenting, liking and connecting.
I should be posting more but I've got other work to do.
It's better than the 12 cents a day here but I'm spending more time than I want to over there. Onward to my hub so I'm in the challenge drawing this week and then a little freelance catch up work.
Have a great weekend, folks!
I'm a bubble head today - all air and no substance. Sorry paradigm - you'll get no inspiration from me. BTW - what is your bubblews name? Are we connected over there yet?
Came up with one, another illustrious 50 cents made.
And I found you...
Over 700 connections and I barely make it to double digits on the Likes. I am beginning to think that Bubblews is not worthy of my brilliant scribblings.
Having connections isn't enough. I found the trick was, every time I wrote a new post, I would like and (more importantly) comment on a batch of other people's drivel, and then they would like and comment on my drivel.
That's what the site is all about - it's a game. I'd swear most of the people who liked my posts never read them at all, and even some of the commenters didn't, judging by what they said!
For every post you make, comment on at least 20 or 30 posts by your connections. Then give it a few hours for that post to collect likes/comments before you post the next one.
Never mind. I got my usual illustrious 50 cents after all.
I've been all over the map with my decisions to bubble or not bubble.....how to find the time necessary to be active daily.....I think I've made my final decision. I simply shouldn't struggle to keep up with Bubblews. I want to focus every spare minute I have, to my first love...HP.
All the talk about "easy money" and repeated redemptions.....sure, that's all fine & dandy. But there is definitely a lot of mystery involved that I don't have time nor desire to try and figure out. There are positive and negatives opinions out there, based on writer's experiences with bubblews. I finally just blocked it all out and formed my own opinion using good old-fashioned logic. Bottom line......"Bye-bye, Bubblews"....best of luck to those who keep whipping out posts, collecting connections, reading and liking and commenting and constructing their bubble empire. It's not for mr.
I think that is a smart choice - its was easy money when the payout level was $25.00.
I can't give up on it until I get to my first redemption. My oldest son, who lives with me (and also on the ASD scale) has told me to prove that it's not a scam over there before he wastes his time so I am committed and 3/5 of the way there. I'm actually having fun over there and not sweating it too much. It's work but I've been dedicating one Bubblews day and "building my tribe" which has helped. I'm averaging about a $1 a day, about 70 to 98 cents better than I'm doing here - but I agree - hubpages is my first writing love and I need to get focused on getting another hub published!
Hate to burst your bubble, but getting the first payout does not prove it is not a scam. It only means that the scam artists are paying you a little to pull you a little deeper into the scheme.
Grifters do it all the time. Why do you think they always lose the first few games of pool?
Well I love being drawn in..... I have had 30 redemptions for a total of $845.12 since mid-July of last year. So for them to "pull me" into such a scam at well over $800.00... I like it.
It is very "likable"! I have an additional $40.00 plus in the bank there, so the next redemption will take me to a higher level of right at $900.00 total.
Good work! I think I checked it out, but couldn't figure out how to find people I know. Maybe Hub Pages could add a Bubbly button
Just go forth and post. They will come. And when they do, be sure to respond.
Time for my weekly forum post. I don't join in much on Bubblews - that side of it does not excite me. But I enjoy writing short, maybe funny or political pieces, and putting pictures up.
I make two or three dollars a day. The fleeting nature of most of my Bubbles does hack me off but the quick post fix and Tweet is fun.
I guess I am in two minds about it. For me, it is like spending my time crafting witticisms for a forum except I get a little payment.
I have recently made myself blog a little more, they are longer 'pieces' and when I think of something 'worthy' I will put in on HubPages. I absolutely have NOT left HP - just don't see the point in slinging lots of pages up any more.
I believe I've found my niche there. Wrote 4 short, quick, sweet creative writing endeavors. They were fun to do. So I don't classify that part as work.
Posted 2 of them. Will post the other 2 tomorrow.
I can come up with these kinds of puppies ad infinitum. What with it not being work, it makes all the difference.
The money does trickle in. So basically I'm getting paid just for messing around and having fun.
I have cut way back on my writing there. My general goal is to make $2 per day so that I can cash out at around $60 per month. That's $720 per year with very little work. I am mostly cutting and pasting from HP articles that did not make it on this site, which puts them to good use. I sometimes get five or more articles out of one at about a buck an article, so what I do is easy, fast and pays off. I have only 1400 connections and respond to everyone who leaves a comment, but I do not exchange. I have found that certain exchanges happen normally because I've made some friends there. It takes me about 10 minutes to post, ad a photo, and store the article and http. So If I do that 4 times I've made my money for the day and have spent less than an hour. To me, that is well worth $60 a month.
That is an intriguing way to get content for Bubblews! Thanks for the tip.
I'm to a point where I'm averaging about a dollar a day - if I can bump that up to 2 or more that would be SWEET! My goal is to get a new laptop with my Bubblews money. It's a long way off but it's a goal.
meraj99 The best way to do that is to get as many contacts as you can because every time you do anything, your name appears on the notifcations and the more people who see it, the more who are likely to do a quick look and maybe more. You should read some of my tutorials over there. I've made more than $800 since July...and that is with stopping altogether for two months for various reasons.
Squirrelly, buggy, poky site there today. Finally got fed up and left.
Yep...I leave for awhile, then try again and sooner or later things settle down. It is frustrating though, but as long as they keep paying, I'll keep posting.
It was fine this morning on my end but now it's acting up and going to 504. Then eLance is under a DDos attack. So now I'm on twitter and HP - which is not a horrible thing. Maybe I can actually publish a hub this week - but I'm not making any money anywhere else. womp womp. /
I tried a couple more times. Even saw other posts complaining about it. That website's unending glitches today cost me money (and took the fun out of it). But I imagine it cost them one heck of a lot more. Oh, well. Tomorrow's another day.
My payments from Bubblews this year amount to the following: January $361; February $362; March (so far) $254 (+$51 recent redemption request) - should be about $600 by month end. All have been paid.
Although I do have 1200 connections, I do NOT socialize (other than a few friends) - if they want to read and comment then so be it. I do promote. My content there is all for residual income - small snippets that are too small for other sites. I produce 10 articles per day religiously - currently just over 1200 articles. Residual is running at about $10 per day. I can redeem every 3 days (now about every 2.5 days).
I am humagaia over there, so if you want to connect I will connect back, but don't expect comments and likes to all your missives.
That's pretty good residual going on there Humagaia. Stickmen are not as residual as the course I went on suggested. "Sign up here for eight hundred dollars a day drawing stickmen" it said, and of course I believed it.
They only wanted your money - just like all the other 'get rich doing this' schemes.
BTW I do an 'Earn $10-a-day residual in only 90 days' scheme - only $599, but this offer lasts just 20 minutes, so you need to be quick (goes up to $1099 after that)!
I can prove it works - I got Paypal screenshots (unexpurgated) to prove it.
Bubblews rocks!
"slacker" is a bit harsh. I don't get to write as many bubbles as I want. I do my best to play a game of "ping pong" with whomever. If someone takes the time to like a bubble I write, i try to find something to read of theirs and reciprocate when appropriate.
I learned my lesson at Squidoo and am a bit gun shy these days everywhere else, as a result. Hubpages might be a bit more strict, but at least they are up front (so far) and doesn't remain vague.
Seems like every time I get enthusiastic about that site, it goes into another one of its crash & burn phases. Especially so every time I make a new post there. Arvind's made a new post; if/when the site comes back up, he addresses this issue. Meanwhile, guess I'll continue making a backlog for future posts.
And it appears to no longer be flaky. Must have replaced the hamsters.
Fed up with the glitches again. And totally fed up with the grand slam total of 5 Likes on my latest post. So much for my thoughts about reaching Redemption next week. Rant concluded. Think I'll go eat a Twinkie.
I found a new glitch...." Could not open socket." What the heck does that mean? It ate my submission.
I just saw something about a new rule: You cannot "Like" more than 5 posts by the same user per 24 hour period. What is that about?
Those who depend on community service for their income will likely drop back down to 5 posts per day.
It is about spamming presumably. You see the number of Likes some people get - it is not normal.
Seems like 10 would be a better limit, and allow fans to like every post their favorite bubbler posts each day ;-)
I can't think of any writer alive or dead where I would naturally like everything they did.
Perhaps they should do away with paying for Likes then people can still go round liking everything.
Well, sports fans. Looks like the party really is over. Every time I try to do a Like, the site throws a hissy fit. I have given up on my aspirations to earn more than 50 cents a day there. Oh, well.
All my connections that used to get 30, 40, 50, 60 Likes? Gone. Gone. Gone. They are now single-digit or very low teens; just like me now and which I have always been. Interesting...
I'm lucky to get 20 likes on a bubble. I haven't had any issues "liking" anything today. Maybe I just jinxed myself - or maybe the issues are over?
Last 2 Likes I just now did, both went into "circling" mode. Fine, I just left in both cases; it either "takes" or it doesn't. Meanwhile, I have earned my illustrious 50 cents for the day. So I am now celebrating with my usual nap.
My "The Unnatural Food Store" bubble just hit the dizzying heights of 5 Likes. If it wasn't for the social media, this party really would be over.
The party is over - 504 errors abound; no way to do anything over there today.
To abound? Or not to abound? That is the question.
Looks like the problem has cleared up. Everybody, including me, are busy little beavers over there.
I already peaked over there for my weekly run. I should make payout in a few days, then the starting over process once again by next Sunday. I need to come up with another that was as popular as my one on "mini-skirts!" or...even the "get rich" one.. A couple like that and payout will be reached with only a couple of articles, lol.
Bubblews, what am I going to do about you...? I'm busily visiting my connections, suddenly I'm being sent off to other websites. I close one, I'm immediately sent off to another. I finally bailed and closed out altogether. I sincerely hope these are rogue advertisers that are doing this without your permission. Be not afraid, my fondness of you continues.
Hi paradigmsearch, I only have a tenth of the connections on my account, and have personally connected with three other members, They write more than what they had for lunch, so I thought "why not?" I am yet to encounter redirectors. With luck, that will continue
It's been a real adventure, but I steadily keep drifting towards being more fond of them.
HubPages should pick up the phone and call Bubblews.
They could come to an agreement.
We could post one hub link a day in one of our bubbles.
We could post one bubble link a day in the HP forums. But only if the bubble is truly worthy. I would not be interested in what someone had for breakfast, etc.
Somehow I don't think this idea is going to be applauded to with open arms (paradigmsearch ducks).
Well - I'm about $8 away from my first redemption and so I've been focused more there than here. Once I hit the magic green button I can get to finishing my hubs here! My HP goal is to get at least 2 more hubs published before the end of the month. It's possible!

Question to all of the sports fans out thereNow that football is over where do you get your sports fixes? Are you excited for baseball? Already been watching basketball and hockey? What sport do you shift your attention to?

Last year, while going through all the medical stuff as a result of the hCG diet, I found Bubblews and it was therapeutic. I wrote a series on the hCG diet and then drifted away. Been playing with it again. If you write there, can you link to pages here? Is that frowned upon...

Where else do the amazing author's on Hubpages display their work? Considering Hubpages is very fragile at the moment, I am researching a split of my hubs to another site as an insurance against hub pages going down. I've been told I have hubs that now 'shine' - I'd like these to twinkle on another...
