Banned From The Forum With No Explanation......

   I would quite like one, but why should I contact the hubpages team if they cannot give me the courtesy of letting me know why.
   
   94 hubs in less than 3 months, and for what? To get banned for losing my rag with religious nuts after one told me to kill myself?
   
   I'm going to work on my blog and take all of my hubs with me. Every one of them, shove your page rank up your arse.
   
   Im sure that a few of you can be testimony to how I go out of my way to answer the questions of newbies on here. Fuck you, I'm off.

   That is why I quit the religious forum. They needle you and needle you and needle you and shout at you that you are worthless and then you lash out at them. I felt myself wanting to do so and actually used a swear word at one of them a while back. There is no talking sense to some one who knows what god wants and has a book of words they can cut and paste from instead of engaging in a discussion.
   
   Your only option is to feed them to the lions. It is what they live for. Then and only then can they claim the "persecution," they desire.

   I am with you in thinking the moderation here is a bit...uh, "uneven"...and I'm not alone in thinking that, either.
   
   *edit:  I would say that squeaky wheels of a certain type, for whatever reason (liberal guilt,?, lol, business interests,?), are definitely being shown favoritism.  It's either that, or some basic reading and critical analysis skills are just missing.
   
   There is also quite a bit of "gaming the system" on the part of some users going on which obviously must go over the heads of some.  (Funny, I see it, and I have another full time job.)
   
   Ryan, you should come back just to call out what you see.

      It's like the "holding" call in American football.  It occurs on virtually every play, but seems to be called situationally.
      
      Anyone who posts regularly on political or religious forums can accurately be accused of personal attacks, but the warnings and suspensions are not distributed evenly.  There seems to be a privileged class of posters who can get away with intimidation and threats without repercussion, while others get called out for minor infractions.

      I have never threatened anyone in here, let alone told someone to kill themselves! I do not appreciate being named in your rant as if I had something to do with you being banned! Though you may have been guilty of throwing insults at me or not is irrelevant to your situation here!
      
      If someone told you to go kill yourself I think that is absolutely horrible and very much a personal attack!
      I am sure that team here at hubpages looked into both sides of this when deciding who to ban. Have you looked into the one who said that to you as to whether or not they were banned as well?

            If I get banned for exercising my rights to freedom of expressing my beliefs in a RELIGION forum then so be it!

            And as far as, my cross being too heavy here, Ryan is the one who placed that cross on me! He is the one who said it is I who have provoked all the insults, personal attacks and so on!
            He is the one who placed me in the position of being on that poster! Though it is a lie because there are a great many long before even I joined hubpages who have stated their beliefs in the religion forum as well!

      I wish that I could tell you. I have called one poster a 'fruitcake' and I have said 'fuck you' with a smiley of a devil sticking his fingers up to another.
      
      The 'fruitcake' is Atomswifey, the perpetrator and provacation for almost every heated debate on this forum. The other one told me to kill myself.
      
      If I am getting banned for 3 days for that, then they can shove the site up their arse.

         Interesting.... I know that I also had something to say on the Nutter's performances. I think the interpretation of 'Personal Attack' needs to be redefined - Every single Scripture posted in Caps and used in a general conversation (as far as I'm concerned) is a Personal Attack or Affrontary.  Tres BS my friend

         Perhaps it would be a prudent commercial decision to promote the 'Wholesome family values' and the Religious Leanings into a separate site and let the general writers get on and do what we do best when not influenced by fanatical F/Wits.

      The thing with the religion forum is that we find the argument too irresistable. It's stimulating, even if in a negative way. That's not all bad. So what if others squeak because they got their feelings hurt. You've never been this insulted (as far as I can tell) except for when Big Brother tells you to not throw so much sand in the sand box. (LOL)

    Ive been quite unhappy with some decisions relating to how a hub was flagged and moderated, most likely as a result of the religious nutters, who couldnt wrap their walnut heads around satire.
    
    
    I left for months as a result, the only effect it had was one diminished income source.
    
    A three day vacation from jabbering on here is a good thing, focus on more productive activities and enjoy yourself
    
    And if the hubber you referenced is in fact your antagonist, im not sure how you allowed yourself to get pulled in, i read a hub about roe vs wade penned by it, and can honestly say it was the most incomplete, foolish ignorant piece of tripe, I ever bothered to read all the way to the end.

    I stopped posting in most of the forums for much the same reason - a certain resident troll, which HP consistently fail to do anything about, destroys any chance of a good and interesting debate.
    
    I have much better things to do than argue with that fool - put your Hubs back up and continue building your business empire. At the end of the day, HP does not care, so use them purely for making money.

    We don't really know each other well, but here's my input.
    
    Stay, because you know already that you can make money here, it will be a lot harder with anything else because you have to start from scratch and you won't have the traffic and the community to support you.
    
    Second reason is that you shouldn't let the religious peeps get to you.  You will never win an argument by being right with them.  What you can do is tweak them and have fun with them.  It's a lot of fun actually to do that.  Really, are you gonna let them run you out of business?

    Ryan do hang in there I closed my thread about Shaul Stein because there were some coming after me which believed in the same things I did. I don't fully understand it because if I am a believer and they are a believer what they are doing is wrong. I used to not believe and I have many friends who are non-believers and although we may have indifferences I love them just the same. E-mail them and ask them why you were banned but don't leave HP just because of the occurrence that is what they want you to do. Do stay you are an asset! ((Big Hugs))

    I don't normally participate in these forums nor did I read through all four pages of this thread, but I am going to give you my two cents worth. Before you quit, ask yourself two questions: are you here to socialize or are you here to make money? If you're here to socialize, by all means quit. However, if you're here to make money, don't let people you don't really even know take an income source away from you. If you do that, they win in the end. Just don't hang around them anymore. Unfortunately, there will always be people in this world who think they know best.

    I've been banned for forums before. I got a demerit ( )because I put a smiley in a reply with no text and complained about it, I got banned. It got another demerit because I replied "are you crazy?" to someone even though I was joking. I got my last and final one (I finally quit) because I told someone to stop taking their history from tabloids. So...HubPages is much, much more tolerant than a lot of forums out there
    
    I avoid commenting on the religious forum now, and I try to do the same with the politics forum. I have been very tempted to say things that are definitely out of my character

    Ryan, I wish you the best.  We would love you to stay, but if not, we have to understand.  The Administrative Action process here leaves a lot to be desired.  Their actions make one think that they do not value us - the writers who make up the community - because they do not care to communicate with us.  They seem to care only to dictate terms.  I love HubPages, but it would be nice if the HubPages administrators would take a kinder and fairer, I think, approach to Administrative Action.

          I think HPA does the best they can.  The super religious complained several times, they have a problem.  They said why isn't HPA doing anything.  SO hp had to do something.
          
          The same can be said for the opposite side of the coin.  It's just best that we refrain from things that could obviously get HP in trouble.
          
          You heard about the lady that sued, I think it was Google, for being bullied on the internet and won right?  Well, let's leave it at that.

    I am aware, and everyone else should be aware, that Ryan was involved in a thread where he was instructed to shoot protesters.  He did battle in a ridiculous argument where he was called every nasty name in the book.  I was following the thread and I was hoping Ryan would just pull out, but he tried to be reasonable.  The fact that he was banned is an outrage.  I can't imagine anything he could have said that was as bad as suggesting someone shoot people.  What is really going on here?
