4%, 6%, 6.5%, 7%, 7.5%, 8%, 8.25%, or 8.5% dependant on what threshold you achieve. Many hubbers achieve 7%, at least a few achieve 8%. Electronics are capped at 4% however, and laptops are capped at $25. Some items actually recieve 10% commission, including Kindle books and Videos On Demand. I believe that the commission for the Amazon Kindle is even greater than 10%!
I would not call 7-8% "very minimal". The $25 that I recently got paid for a $2400 Apple Macbook Pro can be considered minimal however, as this works out at a fraction over 1%.
I have heard from large affiliates that own huge sites, that the basic commission is 3.5-6% on most toys/electronics/home goods. I imagine the kindle would pay more as of course the downloads because they are actually Amazon's products at that point.
Cagsil, will you pretty please with icing on top buy me something including the priority shipping. Not too be hinting but remember, I don't read or wear sweatsuits. i pad? Oh surprise me ok? Your da best
Great job Cagsil - may there be many more to come. To get one this early is pretty neat - it over a month to get my first sale. I don't dare complain, though - Amazon is about 1/3 of my paltry income from HP.
Hey Wilderness, thank you very much. It was a pleasant surprise for it to come as quickly as it did, just because I was new to writing sales hubs. The hub had only been up less than 2 weeks, which was why I was so surprised.
Congrats, Isn't it a great feeling. I didn't use Amazon until a few months back and now the sales are flowing. The commission is rather low but people Will buy from Amazon and my sales numbers reflect that. Remember the more you sell, the higher the commission. I usually end the month at 6.5% and that really isn't bad.
I've been receiving regular sales through Amazon with other sites... and today, 2 months into my hubpages journey I made my first Amazon sale! It was a product lens that I did only a few weeks ago! They bought black curtains!
I've had plenty of clicks through Amazon, but no sales until now. I've even had Adsense clicks on my product hubs, but no Amazon sales.Anyway, I earned $1 on Amazon from a pair of shoes that somebody purchased! As you can see, I'm pretty excited! Just wanted to share. I was...
.24 cents! Not impressive, but now I know that the amazon capsules can work for me. It was for a book, entitled: "Hooking Up". lolAnyways, after 209 amazon views, it's nice to finally earn something!I'm assuming it'll be quite sometime before I reach the $10.00 threshold at this rate.
Hi hubbers, I made my very first Amazon sale two days ago and you can guess how I feel right now. I know there are hubbers who make several sales a day, but this is a very big milestone to me worth sharing. This is a big boost on earnings and now I have all the reasons to get back hubbing. Thank...
At last! I have finally had my first Amazon sale. It took 384 click but I'm finally there, my conversion rate is now 0.26! Yay.Weirdly the first item I sold has nothing to do with the items I have put on my Hubs, but I'm not complaining. A sale is a sale.
Go ME! I just checked AMAZON and see that the order that showed up yesterday converted to a shipment and I have my first money from Amazon. I can only get half a value meal at Burger King, but it is still money! WAHOO!
