Made my FIRST Amazon Sale!

   Hey Hubberville,
   
   I am taking part in the 60 Day Challenge to learn more and increase revenue.
   
   And two days ago I received my first order and today it was shipped!
   
   I've just started creating sales hubs, and from one that was written on Sept. 10, 2010 during the challenge is where the sale came from.
   
   I know my first sale isn't much to share and the commission isn't the greatest, but it's made money, which means it's to be repeated if it happens once.
   
   I want to say thank you to all the people who helped increase my knowledge during the 60 Day Challenge. It's been fun so far and we have yet to get to the promotion aspect of the challenge.
   
   Oh well, that's it.

   Congtrats. I remember the kind of joy i was filled with the day i made my first sales.
   
   The only problem i now have with mazon is that most of the sales made are not being shipped. Sales made as far back as july has not been shipped till date.
   
   Except for this, amazon is reasonably coverting.

    Good job, they come much quicker after the first one, and amazon has a much lower payment threshold.

    Does anyone know really how much you make off a Amazon sale? I heard it's very minimal.

       4%, 6%, 6.5%, 7%, 7.5%, 8%, 8.25%, or 8.5% dependant on what threshold you achieve. Many hubbers achieve 7%, at least a few achieve 8%.  Electronics are capped at 4% however, and laptops are capped at $25. Some items actually recieve 10% commission, including Kindle books and Videos On Demand. I believe that the commission for the Amazon Kindle is even greater than 10%!
       
       I would not call 7-8% "very minimal". The $25 that I recently got paid for a $2400 Apple Macbook Pro can be considered minimal however, as this works out at a fraction over 1%.

          I have heard from large affiliates that own huge sites, that the basic commission is 3.5-6% on most toys/electronics/home goods. I imagine the kindle would pay more as of course the downloads because they are actually Amazon's products at that point.

    It is a good feeling when you start to make sales. Shows that you have added value, or provided a solution to the needs (or in the case of entertainment, wants, lol) for someone.

    Great job Cagsil - may there be many more to come.  To get one this early is pretty neat - it over a month to get my first sale.  I don't dare complain, though - Amazon is about 1/3 of my paltry income from HP.

    Congrats, Isn't it a great feeling. I didn't use Amazon until a few months back and now the sales are flowing. The commission is rather low but people Will buy from Amazon and my sales numbers reflect that.  Remember the more you sell, the higher the commission. I usually end the month at 6.5% and that really isn't bad.

    Cagsil - Awesome awesome news! I remember my first Amazon sale like it was yesterday ... okay so it was almost yesterday, but still. It is kind of surprising when you don't see a zero there anymore.
    
    Funny, my 1st sale had nothing to do with any of my hubs. The second sale was from a 1 day old sales hub though. That was sweet too.
