This isn't intended to make those still awaiting an invite jealous, but just to make your more EXCITED!
Basically it almost matched in half a day my AdSense earnings for the WHOLE day.
It's a great program, look forward to it
At least your adsense is working!
You get a new ad program and my adsense stops collecting data. Gotta love it!
The good thing is, it is only going to improve! I like where Hubpages is headed.
It's great to hear that the new ad program is delivering good results, let's hope it keeps steady on that front.
Looking forward to trying it out myself some say.
Just took a screen shot - the first ever view I have of my earnings with dollars on it
Yup. I signed up last night, and woke up to earnings in those few hours that exceeded my whole day at AdSense.
Same here. I got in during the evening hours, only had 67 impressions overnight, and still made money. Very encouraging!
On a sadder note, just as my traffic was starting to return, it went the other way and tanked even further that it had previously. I'm grateful that the ad program is here to help make up the loss!
Same results for me. I'm very excited about this new ad program.
That's good new for Ryan, wish I had mine, may be next time.
That is Amazing! So glad you do not have to work in a bar now.Good for you mate.
Might be serving you your next pint.
Is the program not going so well for you Mark?
I'm not ruling out the bar job just yet Mark, Europe to come yet
But, the eCPM was twice the rate of AdSense, if it carries on that way then for now (for now) it will recoup a large proportion of my lost earnings.
Oh Good for you as well
You think they might have chosen ONE average JOE to really be balanced and stop with all the ...
That's really good news, Ryan, especially after all this other not-so-pleasant stuff.
I have to also say my 1/2 day yesterday dang near matched a whole day of adsense. Thanks Paul and staff. You guys ROCK!
Looking forward to it ~ though my earnings are not high enough for it to make too much difference
Considering my adsense tanked since the big change, I was thrilled to wake up and see $ with the HP ad program.
I'm with you rebekah! Now if we can just feel a bit of google-love and get repositioned in the SERPS (positively!)
I'm starting to see more google love. I just checked my traffic and google.com is coming along, I'm happy to see increasing views again! I think it will happen with some hubs more easily than others. I'm going to continue writing and focusing on content/information hubs.
Great to hear that others are seeing quick results.
And the ads are showing on everyone's hubs at least 40% of the time as far as I understand. They are nice looking ads.
this is so cheesy, but march forth..
they are inviting in batches- you have to wait for an invite- read the hub pages announcement
well I'm already seeing good earnings and it's been about 15 hours....
I am also seeing positive results with my Hubpages Ads Program.
Fabulous. I can't say how brilliant this is. Jumping for joy in this corner.
...
Not really. Didn't get the email. Just wanted to be part of something.
You are making me jealous... still I am glad to hear it is good!
Starts coughing............*Gollum...........Gollum......... I wants it.....................I needs it....................must have it..................must have it and take it........must have .........THE PRECIOUS!!!!!!!! (but really, I will wait patiently until my turn for an invite comes)
I am glad it is working out for you. I had similar experiences. In an interesting note that may or may not be coincidence, the days following the official announcement of the ad program have brought even better returns than the month prior. I don't know if it is the result of new advertisers signing up after the announcement or pure conjecture but if the numbers remain this high I don't care if I ever see Adsense revenue on this site again.
Ironic, isn't it? A few days after the Farmer Slap, Google is losing out on HP revenue...It won't make much of a difference to their bottom line, but it is symbolic.
(I know it was completely coincidental, but well timed, nonetheless!)
Oh, wow, that puts a grin on my face that just won't stop! I'm going to sleep happy.
Now all we have to do is to get Edweirdo to make a HubPages/YieldBuild Search Engine (HPYBSE), and then forget Google all the way.
I'm still searching the 'net for my link. I just know it's out there somewhere.
If both you and hubpages are making so much money why not roll it out to every regular Hubber
It is going to be rolled out to every "regular" hubber, not that I consider myself anything other than "regular", remember that they only BETA tested for 2 months, probably still doing that testing now, first test with 9, then 500, then 2000, etc.
What you probably fail to appreciate is that 500 invites means 500 tax forms to peruse, approve and store. There is a certain degree of manual work, probably with one or two people doing that work.... 200,000 tax forms rolling in overnight is not going to make the process of getting everybody in the program quicker than it will be already....
A appreciate your comment re tax forms. What I meant by regular is those like myself who post on average at least one huba week and have done so for three years. More I would say a loyal partner. But I can wear that...
In the meantime if this is meant to be a fair roll out then Hub Pages could pool the earnings you make between now & June & share those earnings with the rest of us because you were not able to process those forms etc till then. This would help make up for the losses we have with the Google Algorythm adjustment,
I wonder how HubPages chose who to use as the first wave. Then I wondered if you needed to have a lot of hubs to be offered these new ads, which excludes me right now.
Well as long as we're all eventually invited, I don't mind waiting.
Obviously they can't invite everyone because of:
- tax forms. It takes time to process (and I'm guessing also verify) the information.
- Adjustments. I'm sure HP tested this with some beta testers, but it's not the same thing as having everyone on the site. They wouldn't want to accidentally end up paying users too much because of a miscalculation, so doing it in waves makes it easier to analyze how the money's going and how to adjust.

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

Some people have said they've turned off HP Ads and just use Adsense and actually make more money from Adsense. I'm considering trying that out and was curious how much more some of you are making just through Adsense. Fifty percent more? Twice as much? Triple? Quadruple?

How Has HubPages Ad Program Worked Out For Hubbers?I have been doing a lot better with the HubPages Ad Program than Google AdSense. Perhaps because HubPages Ad Program doesn't require an ad to be clicked to earn anything. I think the HubPages Ad Program Earnings is more of a pay per ad...

I was thinking about this for sometime. Went through some details on this matter and found out that HP program is mainly concentrated on Impressions whereas Adsense is all about clicks. It's not that I want to become a Millionaire just by writing, I thought to ask the "Seniors" feedback...

I noticed that CPMs are really low so I decided to just start a test where I would just be running AdSense ads only and it's only day one, only one data point, but so far I'm already out-earning my HubAds earnings.Anyone else running tests and seeing anything similar (or different results?)
