    Hairstyles in Ancient Greece

In the ancient Minoan civilization the women wore their hair long with elaborately fashioned locks. This is probably because the women advertised their marital status with their locks.

In an earlier hub, I wrote about color and the human mind.  Several readers liked it.  they also wanted to know about personality types in regard to color preference.
So,I entered this informative hub as a poem, so it would not be stale with clinical jargon.  I had entered it into the contest.

To my fellow Hubbers, Hubber-ettes, and occasional Google visitors.
This has been the first time I have ever entered a writing competition and I have found the experience to be exhilarating.  I have enjoyed the writing process and I have loved the (very small slice) of other entries I have been able to read!
The following story, The Ghost of William Hurt, represents my fifth (and final) entry into the contest.  The idea for the story was borne from a casual conversation, too much caffeine, and too little sleep.   If I were to give it a rating I would give it an ‘R’ for strong language and disturbing mental images.
An additional caution should be raised for those die-hard fans of William Hurt and Sarah Palin.  My hope is that this piece will be accepted as it was written...tongue-in-cheek.
I look forward to having the time now to read more entries.  Good luck to all who entered!
    I hope you enjoy this.
