I think about 20 or 21, depending on what one considers a "country".

Some were protectorates or some other obscure relation to another country.

I guess this is why I have no money!

I've always got my next trip planned; Northern India and Nepal in May hopefully! Try a bit of trekking in the Himalayas, might need to get a bit fitter before then, I'm struggling to get up my stairs at the moment...

superwagsposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Ditto, well my girlfriend's family in my case. That's part of the reason for going across, see them first, then get onto the fun stuff! India's really good fun once you get out of the cities and onto the beaches, or up into the hills. I mean, the cities have their charms, but are horrendously busy.

If your husband's family are from there then you have the perfect excuse for a visit - what are you waiting for?! (I sound like the India Tourist Board!)

It's still a little up in the air at the moment, but I'll stick some trekking photos up. I'll be the overweight one at the back with the pained expression on my face!

Well I chose to get married and have kids! thats the reason my travelling has been put on hold...although we are going Turkey in May for my Bday and taking the little one so should be fun! smile

Waiting until my son is at least walking age so I dont have to carry him everywhere...no need for sore arms as well as sore feet hehe.

Before we go India we have to visit my family in Mauritius first! smile

I'm sure by your detailed description I won't have trouble finding you hehe..

              1. superwags profile image66
superwagsposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Haha, that is a good excuse actually, an infant who can't yet walk! I might be slightly more hesitant taking my little kid to India - it's not the safest place on earth - I'm not bothered about myself, but having a child may put me off a bit.

Family in Mauritius?! Why did they ever leave!!!? Sounds awesome!

I now really can't wait to go traveling again! It's 3 degrees and raining outside of my window, it's depressing! I'd take a holiday in Libya for a bit of sun at the minute!

    USA (x 4)
    Canada
    Spain (x 20+)
    France (x 4)
    Ireland
    Scotland
    Wales
Canary Islands (x 3) - if you can seperate that from Spain.
Minorca - if you can seperate that from Spain.
    Turkey
    Holland
    Belgium
Yugoslavia (the part now known as Croatia)
    Germany
    South Africa

I should have seen more of the world than that, particularly with Europe on my doorstep. I was hoping to go to Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt next... but I recently changed my mind hmm

If things go well for me over the next year then I may do a Dubai>Hong Kong>Beijing package.... three passport stamps on one holiday, I like collecting those, unfortunately we don't collect stamps for trips to Europe so I only have Turkey, USA x 3 and Canada in my current passport.
