John has created a wonderful poem on the significant issue of climate change. Climate change is affecting us all - from melting glaciers to unexpected rains that have wreaked havoc on seasonal crops and destroyed the livelihood of farmers. The message given by John is loud and clear. Unless we stop playing with nature, nature will one day destroy us all. The link to John's timely and powerful poem is below.

John, you have created a high awareness among us all about climate change and about fire in the ocean, causing imbalance in the ecosystem. I love the quote at the end debating whether we should consider economy or environment to be more important; in that case, of course, the environment wins as it is almost impossible to hold one's breath and count their money. Ha ha. Thank you so much for making us conscious of the problem and at the same time entertaining us.
Thanks, Ravi, for posting John's work.
This is a very fitting poem foe this day and age. Of course, you knocked it out of the park, I read about melting ice caps, and you have to be concerned. John. I really enjoyed reading your poem.
Thank for posting John's poem, Ravi.
John, this is a beautiful and interesting poem. Climate change is an important issue, and I appreciated how you conveyed this strong message through your poem. I also loved the quote by Guy McPherson. Thank you for sharing, my friend.
Thanks for sharing John's work, Ravi.
Blessings to both of you!
John has created an excellent article mixing reality and imagination. His message about real life is important. The fact that the temperature of the ocean is increasing is very worrying. John’s choice of images matches the theme of his article very well. Thank you for sharing the article, Ravi.
John..
An eye opening poem.
Climate change affects so many faucet s of life.
It is getting hotter & I imagine it effects the ocean life even in the cold.
Thanks for sharing....just wish we could fix it for everyone.
Thank you, Brenda. We will never have everyone in agreement, and whether it is a natural cycle or made worse by man it doesn’t really matter. What os obvious is that climate is changing, and we have to try to lessen the affects, adapt, or perish.
Hi John!
An excellent way to remind the readers about the important issue of climate change, which is affecting everyone, and all parts of the planet! Fire in the ocean, is such an appropriate title for this poem!
So thoughtful of you to use your creativity, to draw attention to this global problem!
Thank you for sharing and thanks to Raviji for sharing this in the forum!
Ravi, thank you for posting this, and John, thank you for writing. You have really captured the problem. (And that quote at the end is perfect). My husband is a scientist, and we shake our heads at the climate deniers.
Thanks Ravi for sharing John's imaginative poetry regarding the vitally important subject of climate change. Things seem to be getting worse year after year. People worldwide need to take this seriously and do what is possible to reduce the polluting of our planet.
Interesting.
All the farmers and fisherman I know are more concerned with big Government, wondering what BIG GOV is up to; wondering what China is up to & why they have their heads together? Wondering where that leaves them/leaves us...long before the planet strikes back?!
But, I do love your writing John. :-)
Oh AB, the farmers and fishermen have every right to be concerned with what BIG GOV is up to, and China is a huge concern right across the board. We just have to do the best we can for the good of the planet ourselves, no matter how small and insignificant that seems, and hope those Governing powers don’t tip things too far. Nature has a way of rebelling. Thanks for reading what I write even if you may not always agree.
John..
I just reread this piece.
It is awesome.
I must admit that back in the day when the claims of climate change were echoed...my ears faintly heard.
I honestly thought it was just another ploy.
Thanks for helping many to see the light.
Thank you for re-reading this piece, Brenda. I am glad it resonated with you, even more, the second time.

Brenda writes a timely poem on friends and peers we find on social media. As Brenda rightly tells us, social media friends are a blessing in disguise, especially on those days when we have no one in the physical world to share our sorrows. Thanks, Brenda, for sharing. The link is...

John writes an exciting series of poems on seasons. Each poem not only captures the vagaries of every season but also introspects the poet's mood that changes from winter to Spring. Thanks, John, for sharing this beautiful set of poems. They are a fantastic response to Brenda's week 56 prompt,...
