I have a sensitivity to apples, and am allergic to cloves.

This, however, is down from a list of allergies that had me eating almost nothing and going almost nowhere.

Hooray for small miracles in immunity system changes!!

I'm allergic to apples. When we were making Dutch apple cake in Food tech class, I didn't do it, and when the teacher announced it, I said I wasn't a fan of apples.

    Everyone laughed. Naturally.

Grass pollen, tree pollen, diesel fumes, animal dander, perfume (orris root)kapok (filling often used in pillows and stuffed animals), mold, mildew...basically, planet earth...which makes me think that I may be from somewhere else.

I’m allergic to unfermented soy, which makes my throat swell up - not a nice sensation. Fermenting the soy destroys whatever it is that I’m allergic to.

I'm allergic to shellfish and whatever it is that affects seasonal allergies - it's a new one to me!  lol  (dr just gave me a nasal spray for it like 2 months ago)

    1. timorous profile image81
timorousposted 13 years agoin reply to this

You should try a Neti Pot, Rafini.  It's an ancient method of nasal irrigation.  It uses warm salt water to clear out and neutralize the allergens in your nasal passages.  It takes a little while to get the technique down, but it certainly works.  Best thing is it's dirt cheap, totally safe, and you can use it as often as you like.

I get bad hay fever in the spring, but since I started using a Neti Pot earlier this year, I haven't had to resort to anti-histamines once. [ Jeez, almost sounds like a promo ad! lol.]

There are several hubs about it.  Look it up.

The only thing I'm allergic to is poison ivy.  My son and husband could roll around in it and never have a reaction, but all they had to do was get a bit on their clothes and my daughter and I wash the clothes and we would get it.  I got it in my eyes once.  That has been the worst for me.  I had to have a shot for that one.

I have no food, insect, medicine, or seasonal allergies.

I cough all winter season but not sure about what king of allergy it is. Its not pollen as I don't cough when out doors. Its only when I am indoor that I cough. Not only in my room/home but other indoor places as well.

I am allergic to ragweed, and have a mild allergy to pet dander.

I actually used to be allergic to (cow's) milk when I was younger. Still don't really like the taste of it.
