All religions lie to keep followers. They tell you there is God yet they are not sure. They tell you there is life after death yet they have never been in that life. They tell you to be good and go to Heaven yet they have never been to Heaven.
So basically, all religions spread lies. They tell you about things they don't know or are not sure of.
1. Live and let Live.
2. Never Hurt anybody.
3. Always remember the Supreme Power which is even mightier than Super Powers.
4. HE is watching all your actions, however secret the actions may be.
be good to others, do not kill, believe in GOD ( your own GOD ) , do not cuss and swear at others
Having a open mind and some general knowledge of some of World known Religions, I delicately, give my personal opinion, on a few religions, and what they may have in common, that I can easily explain easily to my best ability, without making anyone uncomfortable. Starting in Europe, South America, North America, and various religious communities throughout Canada, are today in our present day, have a good mix of the religions I Know of : Catholic, Protestant, Judaism. Have many similarities within the foundation of their churches established on collective past religious material like they use BIBLE form, written word of God. They BELIEVE in the HOLY Scriptures of the HOLY BIBLE, that has been translated into many languages of the world as people of other races and cultures have come to the LORD JESUS CHRIST and support a same feeling of what they learn and try to live and be in the teachings of their FAITH. CATHOLIC, PROTESTANT< or JUDAISM. Gives open to most of them, this following they have of CHRISTIANITY. The Eastern Religions are a little more difficult to determine their similarities and what they may share in common. It would be better expressed politically correct by someone, a scholar of Religions of the East,. BUDDAHISM and HINDUISM, are a little more similar in their belief system and are very old RELIGIONS that are older than the New Religions that are known of in Europe and in the Americas, of the Western World, familiar in our present day time.
A sense of compassion for the weak.
If a religion doesn't have that it is not really a religion.
All religions, all present and even past ones that most people see as ridiculous that are now called mythologies, exist to explain what humans can't currently explain to eliminate our fears concerning the unkown so we can live in peace. What happens after we die? Why do good things happen to evil people? Why do evil things happen to good people? Why do the wicked get what they deserve and the good recieve fortune? What is your purpose in life?
Back in the day, people didn't understand lightning, so they said Zeus was pissed, throwing thunderbolts. Presently though, we understand things like that scientifically, so religion is used to explain things we can't currently grasp, like what happens after we die, or how things on our planet are so perfect for life to exist yet every other planet we've found is a barren wasteland. Most of the popular religions today exist to bring people together, not pull them apart. But when certain individuals twist something good for their own agendas, something that grants spiritual comfort becomes a psychological weapon.
God is one. We call him with different names. In every religion teach us to love the man kind and spread the humanity around the world with love and peace...
I don't know if all religions have any single in common. But at their best, religions can lead a person to think beyond self. At their worst, however, they can be used to justify all sorts of atrocious behaviors.
super power is what they have in common
some religion have no god some have no book but there is always a fiction
All religion have common belief that God Exists and helps us when ever we need. All Religion teaches us that God exists where Truth , sacrifice , humanity exists
All Religion Teaches us .
1 That doing one's duty without any attachment to either the fruits there of or to the act itself in terms of doer ship.
2 To have dedication and devotion to the Supreme with an attitude of non-duality of the Supreme.
3 All religion teach us that what ever we sow so shall we reap .
4 The moment when we realized God is sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment we stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him - that moment we free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and we are free then
5 The more we come out and do good to others, the more our hearts will be purified, and God will be in them.
6 The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed
7 Where can we go to find God if we cannot see Him in our own hearts and in every living being.
8 May He who is the Brahman of the Hindus, the Ahura-Mazda of the Zoroastrians, the Buddha of the Buddhists, the Jehovah of the Jews, the Father in Heaven of the Christians give strength to you to carry out your noble idea.
As different streams having different sources all mingle their waters in the sea, so different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to God.
well
Some concept of God or gods
The story starts from here and ends here
Questions like what God ?why God?how God?which God ?when God?
AND AT TIMES NO GOD COMES INTO PLAY
So decide well because u may not be explaining about GOD EXISTANCE but YOUR OWNSELF
The idea that through worshiping a or many gods we will become guided by some form of right and wrong thus in worship we become saved leading us to an afterlife of some sorts.
Worship of demons is the only common idea to ALL religions with no exceptions. True Christianity is a relationship with the living God based on the Bible -- not a religion, church or credo.
Belief is the common denominator. No matter the religion. It's all about believing in something.
Karma... good people by heart get good things in life and bad pay the price.
the fact that they believe in a higher power and the devil believes there is no higher power. he believes that you yourself should believe you are a god.
The essence of all religions is one. They all come from the same source; God. Therefore in effect God is one. Religion is the means by which God protects his people. He sends messengers from time to time to guide mankind. So religion is progressive in nature. The fundamental truth of all religions is one, i.e they all preach for man to be good and live an honest life. The only difference between them is that the social laws are different, and that is again for it to be applicable at the time the messenger came to earth.
The submission of a population to leaders, the submission and abuse of women.
Women's salvation s through use, submission, abuse, denial of personality and needs or removal of them.
Caring, loving, supporting is for all regardless of gender. Women are emptied of their blood, flesh, brain, spirit to feed men, again and again. When she refuses or expresses her personality and tries to build a more fulfilling relationship she is often ostracized, rejected, hurt.. Reason why all these extremes are rising against women, their rights, their defenders. The extremists are not always religious or real religious people, some are outside (politicians, business owners, media, etc.) and some are fake meek.
The worst is women against or women on women. When we get some crumbs, we are supposed to be ecstatic. Sad...
Nonsense....
I think you talk about religion in cultural context. What about Wiccan and pagan religion, African and indian religion?
Btw one thing is correct, religion gives athourity to some people and every authority has exploited people.
All religions have their own philosophy of life and provide a guide path to live life. I think the basic thing in common among all the religions is that they teach respect for moral values and humanity.
The golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Faith. Every religion is based on faith, you couldn't say they all believe in one greater being because some believe in many. But the keyword there is believe!
Every religion teaches its followers about moral values .
There is only One Almighty God and we should worship Him. This is common in all religions.
All religions have a heaven and a hell, and their own deities. In fact, to me, they are so similar to each other at certain levels that I can't help but wonder if they all derive from the same religion.
Everyone in the universe wants joy and happiness and no one wants sorrow and unhappy feelings. All the religions answers the question how to be happy.
Though they have different answers for the question but all are answering the same question commonly.
The belief in God is what all religions have in common, but the belief in God is not religion, religion is man's concept on how they think you should follow.
All religions emphasize a uniqueness of humans to other elements of nature. And all religions ask us to exercise some sort restraint over nature and some of our natural inclinations as animals. I read Dune by Frank Herbert.
To answer this question simply. They all bow down to a higher power, regardless the religion.
I don't believe there is anything that all religions have in common.
Not all religions have intolerance for others-- some religions don't believe there is "1 right way"
Not all religions have a concept of a good vs. evil world view.
Not all religions are theistic.
Not all religions believe in a supernatural.
Not all religions are dogmatic.
Not all religions have scripture.
I think for everything that 'most' religions share, you can find an exception. Though there is an awful lot of overlapping, admittedly.
I think what all religions have in common (and I am no expert here) is that they all (except for Atheism) believe in some form of higher being.
Even religions that believe in multiple deities or gods, believe that there is one main deity to worship.
If you talk to someone who is agnostic (someone who does not believe in a god or gods) many of them will tell you they believe there is some kind of higher power, they just are not sure what it is.
Actually there is no higher power in Laveyan Satanism, Secular Humanism, some sects of Buddhism, Taoism and a few Pagan religions. And a lot of Unitarian Universalists are atheists as well, as the religion doesn't focus on a higher power.
A Blend of :
1. Quest and application for a better life ethics, understanding soul and hereafter
2. Belief in a supreme power (World was never on made/ run on its own).
3. Equality of all human being at birth. Justice for All without colour, cast, creed and race
4. Written as my last point but Above all of the top-3 points HOPE !
they all keep believers' minds closed to the truth.
They have a faith based belief system for deities that never existed, do not exist now and never will exist, or they believe in supernatural beings or events. Basically they all have you suspend reason, logical thought and truth.
be kind. leave this world better than when you entered it.
All religions have the following:
- own proclaimed God
- faith
- set of rules
- devotees or followers
- church or fellowship building
- day of praising or worshiping
Commitment and belief in their personal views. No matter what or who you choose to serve.
The Common thing in religions is they "teach us to help each other" and "To Stay away from EVIL". and also religions common things are unity.
All Religions have one same thing that is One Supreme Reality and one God .
GOD. All religions believe that there is a God, they just have different names for him.
All religion have 2 things: people to believe in them and people to judge the other that people in them.
Certainty the existence of God, who created everything in existence and is capable of everything
Each think that they are the BEST and the TRUTH. All others are crap!
no religion ever said to kill to other people all wanted peace and harmony and satisfaction no matter what method they use to
describe it
All religions have God in common. There is only one God and it occupies all space, simultaneously, making it omnipresent. Because it is everywhere at once, and there is nothing that it isn't, this means it is both omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing). All of the great spiritual traditions (religions) worship the same thing. Call it whatever you like.
The Christians and Jews call it God. The Muslims call it Allah. The Hindu call it Brahman. The Buddhists call it Dharmakaya. Einstein called it The Unified Field. Spiritual Quantum Physicists call it Pure Consciousness. You and I are made of it totally and entirely, as is everything else.
It depends on one's mindset and morality.
So many different religions exist in the world but actually they only differ in some aspects. On a general basis it can be said that all religions teach us one thing only and that is, to live with gratitude and mutual love.

The common thought running through all religions? is this, we are the true religion. So if that the common thought how do we know which religion is the true one? I truely believe one is the true religion, but, it is covered by all other saying they are. Can any one tell me how I would know, which...

What made you decide to follow a neopagan religion?I apologize if "neopagan" is the wrong term. I am becoming curious about other religions and am anxious to learn. Everyone is always asking for the story of how and why a person becomes a Christian or a Buddhist. But I would like to know...
