2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

"You Raise Me Up"
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
You raise me up... To more than I can be.
Mic 7:18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Mic 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Mat 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
When Jesus rode the colt into Jerusalem, the people praised Him and worshipped Him. They followed Him into the temple where he healed the sick and oepn the eyes of the blind. Everything He did was good, but the chief preists and the pharisees were displeased with Him.
Mat 27:22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
Just a few days later the same people were yelling. "Crucify Him!"
Oh how quickly we change our tune. From one extreme to the other the people spoke. I see a lot of people who post on these forums who are the same. They write of how dedicated they were to the Chruch then how they figured it all out for themselves that it is nothing but fables.
The mind of man cannot comprehend or even recognize God. It takes the spirit of man and then only by revelation from God.
Yes. Many drift about with every wind of doctrine or whim. And some will never believe, though He rose from the dead and though He still knocks on their hearts' doors.
Jesus never died on the cross to start with; no question of his rising from the dead.
In your mind perhaps, paarsurrey. We are foretold that some people will have that mindset.
Me, my heart is fixed on the Lord. He draws us toward Him; we choose whether to Love Him or not.
I love to watch an argument between two people who both think they know two different "truths".
I suppose it is very interesting. Especially since the subject matter is one of eternal significance.
Well there is that, although if one takes the stance that both claims are unfounded due to lack of evidence and also evidence showing the very texts making these claims of eternal torment from a loving god to be incredulous, then one has not to worry about the threats within these incredulous texts.
Ah, but then why DO so many people, including you, worry about this subject?
I dont worry about the subject. Thats a silly question. I simply question unfounded beliefs in unfounded religions because I worry about the harm that they cause to humanity.
Religion has caused billions of deaths over the years, and for what?
It's time we stopped being primitive, superstitious beings, and started using the brains that we have.

It's time we stopped being primitive, superstitious beings, and started using the brains that we have.
Just thought I'd highlight a couple of words of yours.
Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant I dont worry about eternal torture but I do worry about people being killed.
Sometimes I think something and assume people know what I'm thinking. It's a terrible habit I know. I guess I should proof read my posts more.
I was just messing with you. I know what you meant.
The point is you must be looking for converts, or else why waste time in religion forums, when you are obviously not religious.
Arguing about something(one) that does not exist. Normal, is it?
At least I believe in him, whom I argue about. Puzzling, that is!
I like this analogy to explain why I debate or argue religion.
If you take away a magazines subscribers, the magazine will cease to exist.
Although I am, in a sense, trying to take away subscribers to religion, I am not doing it by means of converting people as you put it.
I dont want anyone to believe me on my word. I would hate that just as much. I want people to think for themselves. I want them to study facts for themselves. I want them to realise themselves what it is they actually believe and try to ask themselves WHY do they believe it.
So are you saying I don't think for myself?
Are you assuming I don't ask questions?
That would be pretty disrespectful of you.
Just because I (or anyone else) come to an opposing conclusion, does not mean your view is worth more, or is "more" true.
Sorry, my bad again. I should have said questionned LOGICALLY and RATIONALLY.
You need to learn something about me.
Let me make it clear for you.
I don't get offended.
I have had a lot of stuff said to me, and I'm over it.
I am happy to discuss, but I also question others motives and intentions. Your wording left you wide open for what I wrote. It's way too easy for nonbelievers to just write me/us off as ignorant, brainwashed simpletons, but I assure you we are not. I'm no Phd, but, on every social, intelectual level, I do ok. Better men and women than I have come into faith in Jesus Christ from all walks of life, so the Christian church is made up of a much wider class of individuals than just the feeble minded.
Blessings.
BTW. F...you.

Haha, yeah I saw that. I dont think that all theists are ignorant although many I speak to do prove themselves to be. I never prejudge anyone though and if any of my comments seem to be offensive, then they are not. Its obvious when I am being offensive on purpose.

Yesterday the Associate Pastor preached a very inspiring sermon based on 1Corinthians 15: 12-19, making one think about what if Jesus had not risen, and what if Joseph hadn't forgiven his brothers, what if Samson hadn't performed one final work for God, what if Jonah hadn't finally preached the Word to Nineveh, what if the Prodigal Son had been turned away by his father when he went back home, what if forgiveness were never offered to anyone.
Hi Brenda, That sounds like a great word
Hi Woman of Courage! It was. I'm looking forward to next Sunday's Easter message. He is RISEN! Hallelujah!
Hope your day's been good!
Same here, Halleluyah! I had a wonderful day. How was yours?

A great song by a great group!!!
Joh 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
Joh 7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
Joh 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
Joh 7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
Joh 7:20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
did anyone see the show on TV last night where they reconstructed the face in 3D of man's whose face was on the shroud of turin?
fascinating science..
I thought the shroud was shown to be a hoax.
Besides, what difference does it make what Jesus (might have) looked like.
It's far more important what He said. His words will change your life, His picture might give you a brief warm flush!
it was just a cool show... and it hasn't been shown to be a hoax... lots of weird things about it.. scientists still don't understand how it was made with the technology available at the time of its manufacture (whether 800 or 2000 years ago)
Yes they do. Two peopel have replicated it using material;s available at the time it was made - 1400s.
I have seen it.
this particular show what first aired a month ago i believe..
i'm not a scientist (got about 35% in chemistry class), nor am I saying that the shroud is authentic.. i find such artifacts highly doubtful..
just that after close observation of the particular image, the scientists who have been studying it said that they way it was created - with the use of light they believed - (based on the nature of the image when seen with a special camera) could not be duplicated without the use of modern day technology (which is not to say that someone couldn't make an exact copy using other methods)
http://jobsanger.blogspot.com/2009/10/s … cated.html
It has been replicated using ancient techniques.
Sorry.
lol.. i dont get a cut each time someone sees it, so there is no need to apologies to me (i wish i DID get a cut.. it would help supplement my $1 a year Adsense income).
Like i said, the thing that puzzled the scientists on the show was that viewed under a special camera, the shroud had qualities that no other artifact has. You should check out the show (take the time out of your busy mentoring schedule of yours truly)
Not sure if the replica in question would possess the same qualities... either way, no sweat off my back.. I'm a Christian, not a 'Shrouder (a new word i just made up)
It has been accurately replicated. Every detail. Nothing not replicated. The only thing they cannot do it make it 700 years old. That is the only difference. You should read the links I gave you.
I will continue the mentoring when the $675,000 you owe is paid. It is getting to the point where it is worth collecting in person.
i went to the link but it looked like a Blogspot sight.
I read it, even though I don't even read MY blog.
You are welcome to come and get the money in person...
I might not have the funds to give you, but I can start a bar tab and we can drink up most of the $$ if you would like.
sorry... it was first aired about a year ago it looks like..

Psa 65:4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
Isa 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
A sister at our church went blind about three or four years ago. She was a nurse and worked constantly before this happened. A few months agho her sight started coming back just a little at a time. A few nights ago she drove her car for the first time in a long time. She drove about 5 miles in the dark. He sight is getting better by the day.
Mat 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Bu "unclean spirits," I take it you mean she was drinking "methylated spirits."? This is well known to cause temporary blindness.
Endangering the lives of others while driving at night with poor vision is probably related to the same issue.
Lets us prey she doesn't kill too many innocent people doing this.
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
You can see from this that Jesus was son of god in the sense it is mentioned in this quote from Job; all believers are sons of god in the usage of Bible OT; Jesus was a Jew he followed OT.
You don't even have a clue as to what you are talking about. Stick with what you know and ask questions if you want to know somehting instead of posting what other muslims say is right about Jesus.
Jesus is the first begotten Son of God. He was in the beginning and will be in the end. Nothing was made that was made without Him. He is the Word of God which came straight from the mouth of God.
Jesus' mother was a Jew but His father was something else. In my opinion, that means Jesus would have been considered a Samaritan. The Jews had no dealings with Samaritans and considered them to be the same as Gentiles. They were considered unclean.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Two more souls saved at Church tonight. God is good and His mercy endures forever.
Praise God!
I always love to know there's rejoicing in Heaven over the newly born-again! That's so awesome, SirDent!
Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Joh 18:26 One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?
Joh 18:27 Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
Peter denied Christ three times. In the end, He was one of the greatest of the orginal twelve disciples. Whatever happened cannot be changed, but yet you can be changed.
The righteous will be knocked down, stepped on, slapped around and spit on. But the righteous wikll clean himself up and keep walking toward the Lord. Let what is in the past stay in the past.

No, I didn't see this one coming
It suddenly snuck up on me
I can't say you didn't tell me so
I can't say you didn't warn me
I can't take the pain of knowing that I left You
I can't bear the shame of knowing I was wrong
But I'll take the blame for everything that I've done
I can't take the pain of leaving you alone
Of leaving you alone
I was there when they accused you
but I guess I was too afraid
Not just once and not just twice
But three times I denied your name
I never thought I'd get even a second chance
But you've given that and so much more
And then for every time I ever did deny
You ask me if I love you, You know I do, Lord
So I'm off to follow in your steps
it won't be easy, it's safe to say
There are only tow roads I can walk on down
The road less traveled is the one you paved
Lord, You took the pain even though I left You
And You took the shame and You made it all Your own
Why'd you take the blame for everything that I've done?
Lord, You took the pain
You and You alone, You and You alone
Third Day
1Pe 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1Pe 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
1Pe 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Mat 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Had a great sunrise serice this morning. The spirit of the Lord was upon us and moved among us.
Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Amen.
Awesome you had a good service! We did too. Pastor preached from Isaiah 53 and one singer with an awesome voice sang "He's Alive"; such a powerful song. I'm SO glad He's alive! And it has been good to get back into church lately; I had been missing a lot and missing it a lot.
Blessed Easter (Resurrection Day!) to you SirDent and everyone.
Hi Brenda, My husband and I had a wonderful Resurrection Day. Good to know you did also. I am glad you had a chance to get back to church. God bless you!
Hi SirDent, I am glad you had a great sunrise service.
Afternoon service was even better. Two souls saved. That is what it is all about. The whole purpose of Jesus going to the cross was to redeem sinners.
Yes indeed. It is truly a blessing for lost souls to be saved. Praise God.
Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Who can raise the dead besides God Himself?
What you say is true but Truth has many faces.
Scripture does say that we can not rely upon our own wisdom.
What we believe to be true depends greatly upon what part of scripture that we FIRST accept as our foundation upon which we build our belief system.
Which verses that we trust first and foremost to be true, because this determines how we "INTERPRET" everything that we read afterwards.
Do we trust first and foremost those things that Paul preached and then interpret the teachings of Christ in such a way as to conform with Paul ... Or do we trust that which Jesus taught and interpret Pauls teachings to conform with that which Jesus taught.
Depending upon which one we use as our foundation we will arrive at diferent conclusions.
We trust the Bible, period.
Words that Jesus said, and words that Paul said. No need to pick one from the other; they're all the word of God. Now, there are a few times (or at least one I recall) where Paul said he spoke "as a man", I believe? So those, while not necessarily being a direct word from Heaven at the time, still are (in my opinion) to be considered as inspired by God, given Paul's closeness and wisdom and previous direct contact with God (even if that were in the Spirit and not literal contact.)
They can all be the word of God.
That is not the point that I am getting at.
Compare it to a treasure hunt because there is a treasure to be found.
When we begin the search with step five
(such as , go fifty feet west) and end by following step four; go to the nearest Oak tree. We will arive at a different place though the directions were given properly.
It does make a diference as to our interpretation of scripture as to which verses that we use as our foundational beliefs.
Around 26 or 30 AD Jesus said that THIS generation shall not pass till all of these things be fulfilled.
Around 60 AD the disciples wrote that all of it hasn't happened yet.
1950 years later we choose to believe what the disciples wrote as STILL being true and use it as THE foundation for our belief system, and interpret what Jesus said in a way as agree with what we WANT to believe.
What we want to believe has great power over how we interpret the word of God.
But if we start with the correct verses as our foundation for our beliefs, there should be need for little if any of our interpretational skills.
I believe that is the purpose for the prophesys. Understanding prophesy first. Old testament prophesy first; ( as it so happened) Then the teachings of Christ, ..THEN .. the teachings of the disciples ... THEN ... back to prophesy as written in the book of Revelation.
Doing it in this order will bring our understanding to a different place than when we do it in any other order.
We should not begin in the middle of the story and interpret everything in a way as to conform to that which we want to believe.
This is not directed at any single person; Just what I believe to be a truthful ... broad sweeping statement.
I don't understand. How do you separate the teachings of Christ from the teachings of the disciples? I mean, the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, etc., are all books about Christ, containing His teachings; and the words of the disciples in all of the New Testament books are to be taken as inspired by God also. What makes you believe they should be interpreted separately? And Revelation contains some events that had already happened in the past too, not just prophecy for the future.
I do agree that the Old Testament should be taken into consideration first, of course, because that lays the groundwork for the New Testament.
if the words of the disciples are inspired by god, then why is there a zillion contradictions in the bible?
I don't believe there are.
People are human; we often lack understanding and wisdom! While there may be things in the Bible that a person doesn't understand, the Bible is enough, it is sufficient for understanding the basics (and more!) of who God is and who we are and how we can have eternal life. There are a few things I don't understand, but indeed I'm not one of those people who focus on wanting to know everything! I look forward to perhaps asking God about some of those things when I get to heaven.
just because you believe there isn't doesn't mean there's no contradictions in the bible, you chose to believe it even with the facts right in your face which makes me look at christian morals even lower than before. I'm not wanting to know everything but it's just so obvious you can't ignore it, unless you're a blind christian then yeah it's easy to ignore. I can point out at least a hundred if you're interested but i don't think you are, nice to know you can find morality in ignoring the obvious=)

Many of those "contradictions" have been explained before.
Like....a woman not working in the field or whatever when she's on her menstrual cycle, and all the rules about when a person is "unclean"......those were rules applied to the way of life then, for mostly ascetic (is that the right word?...) reasons.
They didn't have showers and bathtubs with running water right at their fingertips like we have now; women didn't have access to tampons and stuff; heck, I dunno if they even had pull-up underwear or not! lol. Many of those rules were for the cleanliness of women and men, and that's simply it.
As far as the accounts of Christ's death and burial and resurrection, the four Gospels may each have a specific story of what happened, but they all complement each other.
I'm sure you have more excuses to say there's other contradictions. Believe me, around here talking to other people, I've probably heard them all, and most of them have been replied to by Christians. And still those who don't want to believe, will not believe.
Many people will use any excuse to not focus on the word of God, especially to not accept salvation. They either try to pick apart the Bible or they try to pick apart the Christian, finding fault with either one.
it's not really an excuse because like i said, i can present you with at least a hundred of them, you're choosing to not know what they are, again you are demonstrating that facts doesn't matter to christians as long as they have faith. i did focus on the word of god, how else am i going to find all those contradictions? it's just sad that when there's obvious evil and wrong in the bible, christians just try to twist it and try to make it look moral, so where's the morality in that action? Christians always say that i need to interpret the verses for it to make sense, i say give me a pornographic film and i promise you i can interpret it to make it look moral=)
Um....I highly doubt that. At least not the average porno. Because there's really no redeeming aspects of a pornographic film. That's the whole idea of them.
you also highly doubt facts, so i i'm sure i'm a more reliable resource than you are=)
There's no evidence at all that I "highly doubt facts"! Where you got that, I dunno.
But evidently you're only wanting to argue. I suggest you actually read the Bible (if you're really interested) with the eyes of someone who really wants to see if it's true, not with the eyes of someone who's on a mission to debunk it.
if you scroll up you can find evidence of you doubting facts, now you know. I'm not wanting to argue, were having a discussion, just because you don't like the statements i present doesn't mean we're arguing. I did read the bible with the eyes who want to see it because i was a die hard catholic for more than 20 years but the more i read it the more it didn't make sense and i too tried to ignore all the atrocities and immoralities of the bible because to me it was the only truth so naturally, i would pull statements up my arse to defend it. I'm not on a mission to debunk it, i'm on a mission to find out what's causing people to believe in magic instead of hard solid facts because the last time i checked, 1+1 is equals to 2 and not 1+1 is equals 3 by way of magic=) pls. don't overlook the smiley face
We can put almost any two people on a street corner with the intentions of them to witness an event such as a staged bank robery, kidnapping or a robery etc. and these two will not describe the events that they had moments before been witness to.
SO to expect two disciples to describe a single event, exactly the same, approx thirty years after they witnessed it Would Not Be Expected to Happen.
I Ya wanted to be completely honest with yourself, You would say something was wrong with it if they did match exactly... Don't Ya think ??
so where does the "guided by the holy spirit" come in to play?
that's why i asked you, i don't know either!!! haha
Does the holy spirit guide us on a path that we were not intended to go?
i don't know, i've never seen a holy spirit before
Forget about the Bible, do you believe in God and or Jesus Christ?
If the world came to an end before you died or even when you do die, how would you act or react if you found out there is a God?
I can only tell you once I meet him. If god is the epitome of good, I don't think he'd care if I believed in him or not, It would make sense that he would only care how I lived my life as a decent and caring individual because that's the true essence of morality. So if there was a god, I'm convinced that he's not how you know him to be.
It does seem as though everyone has a spirit guiding them.
Even you and I.
You don't see the Holy Spirit. It is like trying to see the air...or the mountains if you live in L.A.
True but you can hear the echo of silence coming back atcha from a far away mountain
How Ya been going ? Dude .
it does seem like the world is flat, but it's not.
why do you ask? is there some amazing logic coming from you following my answer to you question? or is it magic?
I just thought that a golf ball is flat and it is round.
Is that magic?
no, you know what it is but i don't want to say, i don't want to offend your obviously superior intellect=) i'll let you have the last word, i don't think i can win this topic with you because you're obviously a master debater, God B. less=)
I am not sure how I landed here. I believe I was led. Divine intervention. Great discussion. Praise God. The Scriptures I stand on many times during the course of a day are, 'I can do all things through Christ who strengths me' Phil. 4:13
This scripture reminds me that the Lord dwells in me, I do not have to go it alone. He will provide me with the strength I need when I face a decision, a challenge, person, place or thing. I am not alone. I am a 'Child of God' The Father gives HIS children the strength to carry on. No matter the situation. I visualize Him next to me, I know He abides in me. I live on that scripture. Well not only that one but it covers allot of territory for me. God is Awesome.
Hi skye, It's good you landed here. That scripture is one of my favorites.
Psa 69:33 For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
Psa 69:34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
If I ever get to the place that I cannot be taught, I am either perfect in every way or I am lost. No man has gone to heaven without death coming upon him other than Enoch and Elijah. All others still need to learn and we should learn all we can until the day we leave this earth.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Jesus went to heaven after dieing a peaceful and natural death in Kashmir, India.
Jesus did not die on the Cross.
Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

I think I have that book around somewhere. I'm sorry to hear he died. He did some awesome work for the Lord from what I hear.
I imagine he's having a blessed day in heaven though!
SirDent, I was sorry to hear about his death. I can see that he allowed God to work through him. His ministry was a great blessing .
Psa 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
I've finally begun reading Decision Points by George Bush.
I'm glad to see he starts off with his struggle with alcoholism and his desire to get closer to the Lord.
Never read it. I have a couple books by TL Lowery around the house somewhere that I need to read.
Not surprised he struggled to get closer to the Lord after that illegal war in Iraq.
I'm pretty sure that was before the Iraq war, before he even ran for President. I've just started reading the book, now, so cut me some slack. LOL
Hey, I'm also wanting to read Obama's books. Maybe I'll get to those soon. Since his actions are so obviously inexcusable, I thought I might find at least find a reason for what he's doing, before I write a hub about it. Ya know, maybe he wasn't taught correctly or maybe he needs counseling. Also a book about his Candidacy and election called A Slobbering Love Affair. Maybe you'd be interested in those too.
I guess much of the Neo Conservative Evangelistic Church would be expecting Obama's books to be dedicating to his loving father Satan.
Not at all! I don't think even he would have the audacity to come right out and say it.
ha-ha, but isn't he supposed to after 31/2 years (wink wink).
What sort of trap? From this side of the pond he looks like a man that just wants everyone to have health care.
I was surprised that he didn't make an appearance at the royal Wedding today though.
Everybody that sits in that chair is caught in a trap. Just haveta see it through. On healthcare. He had to try, because he promised it, but he also had to know that it wouldn't fly, therefore, it was an empty promise. On this side o' the pond, many see him as kissing the backsides of those who are not necessarily our undying buddies. He isn't trusted by many, because they are suspicious of his background, which, unfortunately includes his color. These are not my own opinions...these are my observations. The openness which he said his admin would work under, hasn't materialized, he hasn't pulled everyone out of Iraq. Afghanistan was ramped up, instead of down, and he has reneged on closing Gitmo, agreeing w/ the previous admin that the detainees should have military trials, effectively stripping them of any rights they might have thought they had. So far, he hasn't scored any big points, and now he has to make concessions.
Sure...
Before him it was W. Before W it was Reagan. Before him a list of others. and every NEW group says its "THIS" NEW guy, and justify by saying the groups before them were false prophets or had their wires crossed. Heck, they even said Y`shua himself was!
All collective leaders of both the industrialized and '3rd world' nations cannot possibly be ruled by an non-existent entity called Satan (note the cap S).
Is Mr Obama charismatic, yes. Is he a very good orator, absolutely. Does he have influence with the Judeo, Christian and Islamic world, certainly. All politics does. Is he planning a global shake down and 'micro chipping' of 7.5 Billion humans (a 3rd of which do not even own any technology, nor can they afford simple living of home and hearth), I say bullocks. If anything he is trying to keep The States above water, as it is falling fast and once 3rd world countries are exceeding 3 to 1 in education, population, technology and more.
I said it once, I'll say it again: Creator is not interested in human methods, doctrines and the-end-is-nigh ideologies by either WMD's or Religious Fire/Brimstone and quite obviously humans are --at the moment-- truly not interested in His. Seems there is quite a dysfunctional --but none the less entertaining-- impasse.
James.
well it has to "happen" before May 2012, 3 1/2 years into his term in office when he starts campaigning for re-election. All eyes will be watching, no doubt.
(and cue X files music)
Ah now I know Obama's not the anti-C because Dec 2012 would then be four years into his diabolical term, and 4 years doesn't fit into TBN's theology.
I can almost picture it. Seriously, his believers will eat up anything he tosses to 'em.....
Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Ah now which last days was God referring to? Sometime in the next 100 years, or the last days of Israel (the end of that age and the beginning of the new age under the new covenant)?
Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Good morning SirDent! Have you managed to copy and paste the entire bible yet?
When will you be starting on the OT version?
Here is one of my favorite verses from the OT.
That's why I give all praise to God, who sentenced his son to death, because He couldn't find any other way to attone for the sins of man. What an awesome God we serve:
'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death.' (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
See ya later...I'm off to church...today IS Sunday!
Rom 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
It is time to awaken. Come out of your slumber state of being and live the way God intended.
Jer 16:15 But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1Jn 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1Jn 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
1Jn 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Jer 4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
Then why don't the Christians circumcise? Does NT mention any good reason for that by Jesus; or it is just an irresponsible behaviour of the Christians; without any reason given by Jesus.
1Ti 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
Still quoting what you do not understand, Dent?
Sigh...just because you pretend to have a heart knowledge --which is actually experience-- doesn't mean you do. And just because you quote the author does not mean you actually know or understand the author...
Come, let us reason together that I may shew thee life, and even life more than thou hast conceived in thine own heart, worked with thine own hands, seen with thine eyes or heard with thine own ears.
Come, let us reason together, that thou might become a vessel of glory, a joy unto thy King and a true witness unto his people.
James.
Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Act 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
Act 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Act was neither written by Jesus; nor dictated by him nor written by a person authorized by him.

Possible? Interesting? Shortest thread ever?I was raised in a conservative Christian family, but no longer refer to myself as a Christian. I am agnostic, meaning I live in a world full of possibilities; many questions few answers.I am interested in learning how people who know...

WHO IS A CHRISTIAN?This is a vital and common question. A christian is not just a follower of Jesus Christ because it came from the word CHRIST. Christianity is a Faith walk not just the play of Religion.1. A Christian is the saved, with primary assignment to share the gospel and win souls.2. A...

I just read a post from someone stating that Christianity is based on the Bible which stands to reason, "If Christianity is based off the bible then that means it would have never come to furition since the book would never have been written because no Christian would have existed before...

When speaking of religion and someone says they are an "agnostic", how should a Christian respond?
by Brittany Williams 5 years ago
Atheism only means the lack of a belief in God. Why is it so hard for Christians to realize that we dismiss their religion for the same reasons that they dismiss all other religions? It doesn't make us horrible people, immoral, or mean that we are going to hell. It just means that we think the...
