   I'm using this challenge to help myself get going on a book I've had in my head for about nine years. It is called "Finding my Chinese Sister" and is the story of a Chinese adoption.  At this point, I think I will be telling the story using first person perspectives of several characters in China and America.  I start from the perspective of an older sister who finds her father has taken the newborn baby away to leave it.     I spent a year working on a dissertation about poetic versus rational language, and I got so bogged down in rational language, research and reading other scholars' words that my head exploded. I failed to finish the dissertation.
    
    Here, almost exactly a year after I resigned from my dissertation program, I find myself writing a poem to express poetically what I couldn't seem to write as a scholar:
    
    What's In a Word?
