Hello everyone, thank you for such an amazing response to the Irish HubMob.  We had an amazing 65 entries last week.

This week we are joining talents with the Helpful Health Hubs contest, which begins today Monday, March 1st.

As you might already know, the contest is open only to residents of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.  Due to national legislations the rest of us are not eligible for the contest's prizes this time.  However, we can still participate and take advantage of the publicity linked to the contest via our own HubMob.

If you qualify for the contest, you will need to follow a tight schedule and start your hubs from the link provided for the contest.

If you don't qualify for the contest, you will need to start your hub from my link here to be added automatically to the HubMob RSS feed on Natural & Alternative Health.

    This week subtopics include:
    Herbal Remedies
    Home Remedies
    Chinese Medicine
    Energy Healing or Reiki
    Homeopathy or Naturopathy
    Aromatherapy or Colour Therapy
    Acupuncture & Acupressure

To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below like any other week:

    1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the Answer the Request green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines, AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"

    3. If necessary change the category on your hub to best suit your topic.

    4. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/40517/hubm … ew&rss For more information on how to add the RSS feed to your hub you can click here

    5. Add the HubMob graphic below to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.

    http://i43.tinypic.com/rup3mg.jpg

    6. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.  Take advantage of the free publicity!

If you are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one  please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.

Princessa, can you provide instructions on how to get your Hub included in the HubMob if you start it from the contest link?

I've just asked if this is possible or not Marisa. We'll need to wait for an answer.

      Hi Princessa,

I just wrote a hub (not published yet) that would fall in the alternative health category but not necessarily in the subtopics you listed. In order to be included in this hubmob, does my hub content have to fit in with your subtopics?

      1. Princessa profile image80
Princessaposted 14 years agoin reply to this

No, as long as your hub fits under the main topic that is enough.  You are free to choose your sub topic.  The subtopics I list on the initial thread are only pointers to give ideas for hubs.

Just make sure that you start your hub from the ANSWER THE REQUEST link.

I may have started one of my hubs incorrectly, i.e. from the contest page link rather than the hubmob link. Is there a quick way to check to see if my published hub has been placed within the hubmob? Would I check the RSS feed? Thanks!

Hi Green Lotus, there are 3 easy ways to check if your hub is part or not of the official HubMob:

1)You can try to find your hub on the RSS feed http://hubpages.com/question/40517/hubm … ew&rss

            2) You can look for your hub in the list of hubs clicking on the ANSWER the request link http://hubpages.com/question/40517/hubm … ealth?new/

            3) You can look at your hub, on the right hand side under your details you will find a graphic saying that your hub was written answering xxx request.

Princessa I would surely be participating in this week's hub mob. The results I get from writing hubmob topic is really phenomenal.  Though I don't have much knowledge about the topic of this week's hubmob but then I did not had any knowledge on winter olympic games as well.  But research and inputs from you and rmcrayne helped it to achieve a perfect score of 100 and also making it my best performing hub.  So will give a try again and hope to repeat the success!!!  And Princessa you are doing a wonderful job!!

Ok, here it is the answer to how to get your Hub included in the HubMob if you start it from the contest link?

You should follow the usual procedure for joining the HubMob which means starting your hub from my answer the request Link (step 1)

When you create your Hub, you MUST select the day's sub-subtopic.

Any Hub that is in the right sub-subtopic, and is otherwise eligible (word count, original content, time of first publication, etc.) should be set for the contest.

Thanks Princessa.  Like a dope, I misread the instructions on the timezone for the contest and published my first Herbal Hub too early. I was hoping I'd be able to compensate for that somewhat by including it in the HubMob - sounds like I missed that too!  Bummer.

      2. Internetwriter62 profile image76
Internetwriter62posted 14 years agoin reply to this

So if I want to be included in the hubmob I have to write my hub starting from the hubmob forum and it will be included in the contest? That is what I understand. I guess if that's the case I'm too late to. I guess I'll do another hub for hubmob then. Thanks for the information Princessa, it clears up a lot for me.

This makes sense.  As Jason had previously stated we could start hubs anytime, just so long as they were catagorized correctly and not published until after 12 noon California time. Any hub started ahead of time could not be started from the contest page link.

Our intent was to provide something [with HubMob] for those not eligible for the contest.  If the flood gates open, I'll have to go to Plan C for the roundup...

      1. rmcrayne profile image90
rmcrayneposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Jason addressed this on the contest thread, on page 3, in a response to Jimmy the Jock. It has to do with local laws, and making sure not to be in violation.  Quebec is linked as an example.  Their laws are quite exclusive.

        http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/36846?page=3

Also on the contest thread is a response by Darkside to JYOTI K suggesting he 'do the homework' on Indian law, so as to make sure India is included in subsequent contests.

      Now, my response:

Originally the plan was to mirror contest topics with HubMob, as an alternative for those not eligible for the contest.  I knew this question would come up, whether contest eligibles could also enter as HubMob, but we never really discussed it.

Ultimately, I too have decided to enter my contest hubs through Princessa’s HubMob link.  Hopefully this will not get out of hand!!  I CANNOT handle 150+ hubs a day (day 1 of the contest had 153 hubs)!  Hopefully the dual contest/HubMob hubs will be our usual, regularly participating HubMobsters.

I will likely scale down the roundup hubs, but at the very least, HubMobsters will have 1 backlink per hub.  I’ll skip the poll capsule, and possibly the photo.

In response to your comments about the possibility of being overwhelmed with too many hubs... Probably no one realized exactly how that was going to work out; it sounds like the rules will have to be changed if the volume remains so high.
