Humor Hubs: Internet Comedy and eLaughs...
Dear Hubber,
This hub is a way to introduce, or reintroduce, my writing, by providing a simple guide to the hubs I have already written. I am thoroughly enjoying the writing of my fellow hubbers, and at the end of this hub I have selected my personal top three from last year, which I hope you will visit and perhaps follow. Sometimes, the most fun has been the responses to the hubs, often funnier than the hub itself. I am very grateful to my followers for taking the time to vote and leave comments; it is the heart of what makes hubpages such an affirming community.
If you are new to my writing, welcome, and thanks for joining me. I have created four separate hub-series, three of anecdotal humor, one a little more serious, plus a couple of occasional hubs to round out the week…
Dear Hub Reader
If you enjoy any of my hubs, please check out my book,
Homo Domesticus; A Life Interrupted By Housework,
A collection of my best writings woven into a narrative on a very strange year in my life.

Lemon County, California
On Mondays, I write hubs in the “Lemon County, California” series. There is much to “observe” here, and is probably a reflection of many suburban communities scattered all over the world. Other than our “perfect” weather, I talk about driving, acting, sailing, pirates, shopping, and farting in airports…

Britbats and Uquets
On Wednesdays, I turn my sights on my homeland, England, and (lovingly) throw stones in “Britbats and Uquets”. These hubs contain my observations on the upcoming royal wedding, teeth, road signs, and ferrets…

Homo Domesticus. The Rise of the Hapless Househusband
On Thursdays, my spleen gets vented over my current (enforced) occupation, in “Homo Domesticus, the rise of the hapless househusband.” My domestic disasters and discoveries are laid bare for your entertainment. I share earth-shattering events such as finding out that vacuuming sucks, and that the “Jersey Shore” is a great ironing aid…

Teen Talk
On Fridays, I engage the (slightly) more mature part of my brain, and from the perspective of twenty-plus, years of experience, offer tips and guidance on the teens in our midst, in “Teen Talk”. Topics include; what happened to my perfect child, teen hormone hell, and the idea of the reset button…
