   Hurray!!! Finally reached first payout! I only have 13 or so hubs and it took almost a year, but still...I am encouraged to start writing again!

      Congrats, Sheri! It took me about a year to see a payout also. Actually, I think it took longer than that. Now I'm seeing a payout every other month. I only post once or twice a month, so I'm pleased that I'm consistently earning.

   Reaching the first payout is great, and will probably urge you to write even more hubs... believe me, I know .
   And also, I can tell you it will get even better once you manage to make it the 2nd, the 3rd time and so on...

       Hi Rebecca, I was surprised to see your comment.
       Are you close to payout? With your titles, and hub quality, it should not take that long. You are signed up for the Adsense program, right?
       Usually when someone has that many hubs and does not reach payout in the time you have been here, they have odd titles that no one bothers to search for. That is no the case with your articles.

             Have you signed up to the HP Earnings Program?     Most people (though not all) find that pays better than just Adsense.
             
             Other things to check:
             
             - Are you sure you've set up your Adsense account properly?   If you log in to Adsense, you should see at least a few cents being earned by Hubs.
             
             - Did you ever get a PIN from Adsense to activate your Adsense account?   It is sent to your home address by ordinary mail.  If you don't get it and enter it within a certain time, your account stops earning.   
             
             - Have you checked to make sure your Adsense ID is showing in your Earnings settings here on HubPages?

       Don't feel bad Rebecca. I have 102 hubs and not even half way to payout yet. Going on my comments on my hubs they are very good so it doesn't seem a matter of quality. I have only been in Adsense for about 4 months though.

    Congrats Sheri! It is a fantastic achievement. Reaching payout is always difficult to begin with but once you reach it the first time, it becomes a lot easier after that.
