For those not familiar with San Francisco, and that you have to know God in oder to find parking, the nearest garage for those not taking the bus/ train is a block away and it's $11.00 for 3 hours.  The hotel itself will also do Valet event parking for the same rate + gratuity.

Lol!!  Well, now you know a parking garage.  I am one who likes to visit the city of SF, it's beautiful.  Not too keen on living in the city, though.  Too crazy.  I don't need any help being crazy. ;-).

Hypnotherapy can work if you want it to.  I woman I work with was so bad she had to be sedated before she could get on a plane.  Then she tried hypnotherapy and is wondering why she didn't do it earlier.  She loves flying now.

Thanks nasus loops!  I appreciate your advice, but will not need it now since I've changed my traveling plans.  Buses and trains will get me there just fine-no need for sedatives or hypnosis!

I wish I could attend, but it's a little far. I am sure this will be successful and Hubpages will then decide they need to come to Australia as well. (hint hint)
I wonder if there'll be a live webinar for this event? If not, the recording posted somewhere, if the event is recorded.
        Would love to participate somehow.

I am having an operation in September and can't fly for two years afterwards... so thats a firm no. The exchange rate, which used to be firmly on the side of the British, is currently poop.... when I was getting $2 for each £1 I have considered going to a new place in America each year.

Will you be filming this or making some powerpoint slides or something? Would love to benefit from this despite non-attendance. How about a couple of webinars? Or YouTube tutorials? Always up for seeing if there is anything to improve my performance.

Bristol is great for everyone - flights from Ireland, Scotland and not far from Wales - great infrastructure with the M5/M4 connections.  Not too far from London, Birmingham.  Brilliant train and bus links from Manchester (and flights too).  Bristol is a fine place to visit too - very cosmopolitan and cultured and it isnt far from Bath (very historic!).

You dont get bogged down with the traffic situation - it is actually a joy to drive to Bristol!!!

So please come to Bristol - you wont regret it!

            Hi Dinah!
For such things, I will point you in the direction of our Learning Center.  It's a great resource!
With regard to driving traffic specifically, I'd recommend these specific posts from the Learning Center: http://learningcenter.hubpages.com/cate … g-traffic/

Of course, our HubCamps will provide more guides to this sort of thing, so should one ever pop up in your area in the near future, I'd recommend attending!

Hi all, I won't be attending HubCamp after all-an uncle of mine passed away and I'll be travelling South rather than North.  Family does trump HP, after all-but I was sooo looking forward to it!

Too bad!  Was looking forward to meeting you in person.  But of course family comes first.  Very sorry for your loss.

I tried to make this happen since I am not TOO far away in Portland, OR.  But, the cheapest flight I could get is (wait for ittt......) $400.  WHAT THE?  Usually it's half that, at most.  Even Southwest and Alaskan stink.  I am so disappointed because I really want to come.  I am still checking though.

It would be great to be able to attend this gala event... I wonder how long it would take me to drive to San Fran from Delaware...

$400 from Portland to SF? That's OBSCENE! Have you thought about taking the Amtrak?

I was there in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale)by the same date last month. In fact, I wanted to visit HP office at SF. But, unfortunately I could not meet it. Now, I am back in India. Even though I wish to attend the Great Event, I could not. sad If HP can arrange for some online (LIVE) streaming of the event, hubbers like me will be definitely benefitted. Hoping to get the good news announced through officially here, soon! All the best for the event! smile

Oh, sorry we missed you!  We probably won't be able to do anything live this time around, but we will be arranging more HubCamps in the future, and we'll also be sure to offer lots of helpful online companion materials big_smile

SunSeven, don't be offended!  There didn't really seem to be anything in that post that needed responding to, that I can see.  If you've got a question for Simone, I'm sure she'll be happy to answer it.
