Suppose we in the Southern Hemisphere will have a long wait. It does take a lot of time to cross the equator.

I don't live in London, not even close but if I have enough notice I will happily travel down. I can have a night in the city, bring my bloke too. HP stuff will probably send him daft so he can drink quietly in a corner big_smile

You gonna stick with the Sunday?

      1. Simone Smith profile image90
Simone Smithposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Yep; Sunday's the plan, though we might be doing some other UK cities right before or after, depending on how things pan out, so we might end up a bit closer - we're still hammering out the UK tour, so stay tuned for more details smile

Australia is HARD!!!  It's certainly an option for the future- if we can be sure enough hubbers would come to  make it worth it >_<

Australia is eeeasy, just make a date and place, we'll be there. Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, makes little difference to me, I'll travel to a Hubcamp anywhere, I'm sure other Aussies would be glad too as well. Let's not forget the Kiwi hubbers either, they might travel to Aus.
Go on Simone, I dare ya, give us a go, would be a good opportunity to increase the Aussie presence on Hubpages.

How many of us are there here at the moment anyway?

          1. Simone Smith profile image90
Simone Smithposted 12 years agoin reply to this

It's hard to calculate, since we don't ask for people's locations upon signup @_@
We're working on it though! And in the meantime, we''ll provide resources remotely big_smile

I reckon that all of us Aussies and Kiwis need to get our collective butts happening much more with Hubs that earn MONEY, THEN we can ALL hire a plane and hit one of the US cities for 2011 or 2012.

That would be fun and it would be an Australian & Kiwi invasion!!!

I would just have to remember no George W jokes made with a Southern accent when I get to customs........

KJ - have that plane fly into JFK in NY and not only can you make all the George W jokes you want, but I'll even pick you up at the airport - Of course before we hit the Hub Camp, you will have to watch an entire NY Jet or Giant game with me wink

                    WG,

What an awesome idea, due to the fact for two reasons.

                    1. I have never been to the USA
                    2. Therefore, I have never had the opportunity to attend an NFL or divisional equivalent in any way, shape or form.

I agree....of course, he's no longer "A Texan" here. He's now Buck Steiner. But he got permanently banned from the forums so I'm not too sure he'll want to frolick with Hubstaff, but ya never know. We'll hafta email him & find out. Once we know where it's gonna be, we can start the planning process.  Let's try to get everyone from the Arklatex to be there! Including Buck!  Then there's Pretty Darkhorse...she's around Dallas somewhere.  The Austin people could come, too.

I just noticed this - 9 days late - and signed up for Boston.

(Though I hope it is NOT Boston proper - the 'burbs are so much nicer)

It's too bad most of the Midwest was left out ie North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, etc. Chicago is a long hop for all your hubbers in these states.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, including my own because I'm very interested in attending the Philadelphia Meetup in April, but can you shed some light on the "Meetup Terms of Service Agreement" that you agree to automatically when you sign up?

        http://www.meetup.com/terms/

Specifically, I'm curious about Sections 3.2 and 3.3. Do these sections mean that you agree to pay some kind of fee to attend? Or that you agree to pay a fee to organize the Meetup on HP's behalf? Or...? I find the language and the intent confusing. Can you clarify these terms?

Perhaps my questions have been asked and answered in another forum? If so, please direct me there.

Absolutely no fee to attend or organize. smile

Those terms might have been there to allow the organizers of other Meetups (there are lots and lots of them) that have nothing to do with HubPages or HubCamp to charge a fee to attend.

Oooo UK! I'll definitely come to one in the UK. I live in the north but would be happy to travel down to London if there is nowhere closer.

I kinda think there should only be one in the UK, especially if you compare the size of the UK to any state in America. There isn't more than one camp in any state is there? If you had two or three in the UK you'd (obviously) get a lot less people at each one .... just a thought.

        Very excited anyway though!!

          Hi Lili Rose!
When did you try to fill out the form?  Some were accidentally set to private before yesterday morning, but I've fixed that - sorry there big_smile
If you just tried to fill one out and it's still not working though, let me know which HubCamp you're trying to RSVP for - I just checked all of the forms again to make sure they're set correctly, but I may have missed something!

Simone, I just went to to where people fill out the RSVP, and I was wondering if real and/or complete names will be made public anywhere (online, I mean).

Also, would people be allowed to bring a non-Hubber guest?

I see that atlanta is on the list and mama and I may attend but I still wonder if there is any cost other than our gas. I know its been said there is no fee but are you sure because this sounds to good to be true.

Sorry I always fear the hidden fee thing. Dont wanna get there and not have what I need.

          Hi pinkylee!
There are not any other hidden fees; it is a completely free seminar to help Hubbers write better Hubs.  The only expenses would be gas and parking.  We even will be giving you some HubPages swag and light refreshments!  I look forward to meeting you and your mom in Atlanta!
