    Here's a hub that I would love to have reviewed because it's for a good cause and a lot of people around the world could benefit:
    http://hubpages.com/hub/change-the-worl … spare-time

    If you don't like that one you can pick one that interests you. However, some of them are works-in-progress so if you find one that you really don't like, try another one, or contact me, before you trash it, please. smile

    Stevennix - Thanks for the additional suggestion, I will take a look;

    Holiday Hannah - Welcome to the site. Good of you to participate in this forum.

    Mrs. J. B. - Indeed we have met. Your approach to the Show is an interesting one, and that is what I will be focusing on.

    LeonJane - It may not be a small task, that is why it is good to make a commitment here. Thanks!

    Andyoz - Thanks for your encouragement and contribution!]

    Classicalgeek - that is a catchy title, and something I'll be enjoying to review.

      Dare do the review or dare be reviewed? A review is gentler than a critique, it is intended for public consumption; private critiques are more direct and explicit.

        @WE. I've never had any desire ever to have anyone review or critique any of my work. I guess I'm the one that needs to be satisfied that I've done a good job because I'm the one that has to live with my conscience. Also, on those rare occasions when I have followed someone else's advice, my work has not been up to its normal standard and I have been paid less or my ratings have sunk. In fact, the input has lowered the standard of my work and I deeply regretted it.

        So, no, I wouldn't dare (or care) to be reviewed.

    Thanks everyone, I now have about 87 suggestions, only 13 to go.

    Suddenly, I got the bright - or maybe not so bright - idea to review hubs by HubPages Staff members, which should give me enough extra material to reach 100.

    Suggestions are still welcome!

    I don't want to submit a hub (I'd just rather leave any benefit to those who may have more need of exposure), but I am curious how you intend to review 100 hubs. It would seem that even just writing a short paragraph (which barely qualifies as a review) would give you a very large hub - and a tremendous amount of work for you!

    1. profile image0
      Website Examinerposted 13 years agoin reply to this

      Pcunix, you are right, and that does represent quite a challenge. A solution will be presented - shortly, I hope...

      Meanwhile, just 9 more to go before the review can begin...

      1. mypleasurefantasy profile image76
        mypleasurefantasyposted 13 years agoin reply to this

        I've read a lot of your hubs...and its not extremely challenging if you do it right. You can link to the other hubs and write a short HA or BOO or whatnot about the hub and move on to the next. Just leave enough to peak interest and go from there. You can also ask for help as well from another hubber you know and trust with cohorts of all sorts.

        As far as Pcunix...I don't see this as a chance to get exposure. It's more of an opportunity for younger hubbers and even seasoned hubbers to get a respected outside view looking in. No one's perfect, and that's why things like this are done.

        1. lrohner profile image70
          lrohnerposted 13 years agoin reply to this

          I think you're wrong. I believe WE has tried to make it very clear that he is doing a "review" and not a "critique." And I do believe his intent is to give hubs some exposure -- not an outside view looking in.

          1. profile image0
            Website Examinerposted 13 years agoin reply to this

            Irohner, your understanding of my intentions is correct. Critiques have to be private, it is much too sensitive to expose publicly, and people generally aren't prepared for that. So when creative writers ask for critique, I'd say that comments on hubs isn't the right forum for that. A review hub isn't either.

            But a review can include some subtle criticism, which may help authors get a sense of where they can further improve.

            1. inspirator00 profile image61
              inspirator00posted 13 years agoin reply to this

              Yes i agree with that. i believe that good author must be able to review also, so they can know their strength, weaknesses and it will make them improve better in their next hub.

            Pcunix, there are two kinds of exposure: Sunlight (critique) and flashlight (review).

            You may not be longing for either - at least not consciously,- but I've decided to include you in my review nonetheless. For the record: "I will review this man!"

                It's not much but it's all I can afford.

  17. profile image0
    Website Examinerposted 13 years ago

    Mypleasurefantasy, those are some excellent insights. The technical aspects are not the biggest concern, there are different ways to accomplish it. Of course, a 30,000 word hub would not be such a good solution. I also agree that these reviews will combine exposure with a chance of self-awareness and maybe even self-improvement. Most important, all reviews will follow the same guidelines, to create a level playing field.

    1. mypleasurefantasy profile image76
      mypleasurefantasyposted 13 years agoin reply to this

      30,000 word hub is pretty radical...you could also split it into parts...like how a lot of hubbers do with stories and so on and so forth. That would simplify things and give you the chance to have fun with the destruction, rebuilding, and awesomness that comes with reading peoples hubs. WORD

    - Karanda: No, you are just in time, and I will be happy to include your hub on an important topic, one that keeps coming to our attention every so often;
    - Inspirator: Computer addiction is a wonderful condition, but I can see how it could be unsound, I look forward to reviewing your hub;
    - Sembj: I understand you are very serious. Traffic does not always reflect quality. I will try to give you a constructive opinion;
    - Travelesspresso: My pleasure, always;
    - Mypleasurefantasy: Many Hubbers on this thread have expressed a desire for honest feedback, so maybe I’ll have to offer some optional private critique as a follow-up service to the hub;
    - Logic, Commonsense: That sounds like a blind date with fate, I’ll look into it!

    With the additional suggestions, I have received 95 in all, just 5 more to go!

    Hello

    I do write commercial hubs to earn the money as a writer on HubPages.  I also write lots of Irish history hubs just for the pleasure of documenting our history.  This one is about the 2nd World War and how it affected my immediate family and older people in my area of Dublin in Ireland.

    I would really appreciate it if you could include this in your reviews as I would be interested in your honest opinion of this hub.
