One of mine are The Boondocks on Adultswim, which I think is funny as hell.
MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Bloomberg, BBC, BBC in America, and a few others. Yes, including FOX.
lol
The news always makes me laugh.
I would have to say Big Bang Theory as well. Although Psych would come in as a close second.
Im with you guys! Big Bang Theory is the best new comedy to come along in a while!!
Agreed.
I have the deepest love for The Big Bang Theory, and the two others who have a great deal of my affection are: The Middle and Modern Family.
south park, 2 and a half men, modern family, family guy, simpsons
I never watched Friends when it had its first run, but I've been watching the reruns in the last year and I must say, I can see why it was popular AND it hasn't dated.
Other than that I love old British comedies such as Fawlty Towers, The Kenny Everett Show, The Goodies.
Newer stuff like Two & a Half Men. I think that one will be timeless. Speaking of timeless, M*A*S*H is my all time favourite.
I love the British humor, too. I used to really like Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Benny Hill, Are You Being Served...
Right now I think Two And A Half Men and The Big Bang Theory are two of the funniest shows on tv; both written by Chuck Lorre. That guy can write!
I agree with all you said How could you forget Blackadder?
I also like Modern Family.
Are You Being Served was an absolute classic! Hilarious. Great pick!
I agree. That is another one that never gets old!
The Office and Modern Family. Older favorites include Arrested Development and Married With Children.
I think I've probably seen every episode a number of times.
my son dvr's friends and seinfeld, and although sometimes the laugh tracks are annoying, these are funny shows. jennifer anniston was brilliant in friends. some of her comedy reminds me of I love lucy. (which is probably top comedy show of all time)
I get some of my best laughs from House, Desperate Housewives and American Idol.
Coupling the BBC version, How I met your mother, Perfect Strangers, Big Bang theory, Pushing Daisies, MASH, The Cosby show, Icarly, Scooby-doo, and the list goes on and on
Oldies -- Honey Mooners, I Love Lucy, Red Skeleton
More Recent -- Frasier, Seinfeld, Simpsons, Married with Children, Home Improvement
Current -- good question...I no longer watch TV!
Peep Show.
The best British comedy in years.
Give it a watch: http://www.youtube.com/show?p=yiRE6Z5QFLo&s=1
My favorite comedy of all-time is Seinfeld. Look at everyone who appeared on the show during its nine year run. For show currently on the air, I would say The Office, Modern Family, and The Middle, are the cream of the crop.
I like South Park, Golden Girls and the Mighty Boosh. I can't pick one as they are all different kinds of "funnies."
My all-time favorites are probably Seinfeld and The Cosby Show--in the family comedy category. Currently, I think Modern Family is the funniest show on TV.
I know this show is an oldie but I really like "The Golden Girls" I started watching it again lately on WE TV and that show is as funny as every.
I watch it at least once a week, I agree
Some shows are just destined to be classics.
Everything that has had Robin Williams in it and Monty Python.
I still love to see 'Married ... with children'.
There used to be another great series in the UK called 'Ripping Yarns', which I'd love to see again (I'll have to get the DVDs).
Here are some of my faves that are currently on the air.
Seinfeld
Everybody loves Raymond
Big Bang Theory
Two and a half Men
How I Met Your Mother
Rules of Engagement
If I went back in time a few years I think one of my favorites would be Gilligan's Island. I used to love watching that. That and 3's Company. Golden Girls, Empty Nest, and Married with Children were also shows I rarely missed. That and Benny Hill.
I also used to watch a lot of Variety shows when I was a kid.
You would not like to be at our house on Donny and Marie night. My sister had to watch that, or a tantrum would begin.
My mom loved the Carol Burnet show, and I also remember watching the Sonny and Cher show. That, and Laugh In.
My Dad liked Lucy, the Honey Mooners, and, I dream of Genie.
And, we all loved Bewitched. That was a great show.
My family loves I Love Lucy, it's a great classic comedy show. Lucille Ball has to be my favorite female comedian, she had such a natural humor to her.
I love Castle, a recent drama/comedy. It's a great show for those who like Law & Order and the like, or for people who want to watch a crime drama but would like it toned down a little. The characters are wonderful and make the show special.
I also used to watch The Cosby Show. The first few seasons are my favorite, and Bill Cosby is my favorite male comedian. He reminds me of my grandfather!
I enjoy The Office currently. Nothing else really appealing for me in today's comedy writing.
I remember three more British shows on TV, One was called
(Good neighbors), another was (Keeping up appearances), and the third was (The fall and rise of Reginald Perrin). All were great.
My favourites at the moment are Big Bang Theory and Rules of Engagement which I've only just gotten into as it's not really that well known over here in the UK
rewatching gilligans island now, shows that it was a very clever show that portrayed social dynamics and class structures of the era in a very funny and enlightening way.
I love monty python, dame edna has saved my sanity more than once and the Kransky sisters..
Dave Hughes, used to be funny, if not a bit off key, still funny and I had to laugh when I got to warnambool where he apparently grew up and visited Cheese world where his brother works or worked.
All I could think was dave hughes brother works here!!!
They have good cheese and other goodies too.
Good news week, an australian comedy panel and the old chaser show was good.
I love to laugh and Im trying to remember the last show that made me laugh so.....
Big Bang Theory
The Office (US)
SouthPark
Friends
King of Queens
i think the best simpsons episodes are the best comedy around. I'm thinking of the older ones, like the episode with Poochie in or where Homer got fat and wore a muumuu.:-)
Now they're only do the occasional good gag, and the old shows have been shown enough to lose the surprise, but they've still better than sitcoms made today
Friends & King of Queens - Was so sad when they went off the air
Now, I enjoy the Middle.
I love Friends too. I pretty much know all the words to all the episodes! Also love Scrubs, Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men. From British TV I love Mighty Boosh, IT Crowd and Coupling. Really like all the Monty Python stuff ... anything with John Cleese really!
I agree. "The Big Bang Theory" rules. I have watched the episodes over and over and there is always something new!
I do not agree with their commercial though. It says the show is on 'five nights a week' but if you count the two hours on Sunday, that makes seven nights a week.
The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are the only worthwhile shows on TV right now, and they just so happen to be comedies.

I think I have become addicted to Modern Family. The show is exceptionally well written and the actors are all very likable. Any other Modern Family fans? Which character is your favorite and why?
