The first hub I wrote was "You But Better". It hasn't done very well, but the second one "How To Build Cardboard Box Tables" has surprised me and done quite well. Go figure!
Mine was "Lower Cholesterol Naturally Using Herbs and Herbal Teas". It is one of my most popular hubs, and one of my most popular class too.
It was hub about Terry Pratchett books. But I first published the hub about Aes Sedai.
My first hub was written about the intrusive thoughts and images which are common in psychological disorders such as OCD, PTSD, anxiety and depression.
My first hub I wrote was "Burn Out Syndrome." I joined hubpages as a way to combat my own burn-out by allowing myself a creative outlet to express myself through writing. Hubpages allows a creative platform, effective community building and a way to earn some income- what a bonus! After my first hub I have found that my most successful hubs have been on topics I know a lot about such as dream interpretation.
I believe it was "Writer On The Run". Of course, there have been numerous adjustments to those first hubs.
How to Create Mosaic Art - A Guide for Beginners. When I joined Hubpages I mentioned in my profile that I was a mosaic artist. Maddie Rudd suggested that I write a hub about it. So I did! It has done well.
The first hub I wrote was how to make your best deal when buying a car. My hub was nominated for an award which gave me the impetus to write more helpful hubs.
I wrote one on Skimboarding: How to make a Skimboard, and another on Christian Spiritual Growth. They have both done very well, although they didn't do well at first. I find that if I edit and add more relevant content to my hubs that have been around for a while but not doing well, they usually start getting a lot more traffic very quickly. So, anyone out there who might have poorly performing hubs, consider revising them and evaluating what keywords you're targeting and it could make a huge difference!
"Savory Italian Chicken Soup". It's still my least viewed hub. Only 122 views ever! I even republished it with a different URL, but it still didn't improve the views. I've considered unpublishing it, but I can't bring myself to do it since it's the hub that started it all. : )
A hub about ebay and working from home. And 80+ hubs later I can see how much I have learnt.
My first hub was a business building hub... http://mitch-alan.hubpages.com/hub/Buil … rral-Cards
I have since written 51 other hubs about various topics and more on the way...but, it is still my most read hub...
First hub published in December 2010:
"Breath Counting - A Simple Meditation Exercise"
http://blissfulwriter.hubpages.com/hub/ … e-exercise
It was:
"How OLPC's $100 Laptop Computer for Kids Turned Me on to Linux"
after six months it has 230 views, one of my lowest performing hubs. But still, it gets an occasional visit.
I posted another the same day "The Benefits of Using a Wheelchair While Recovering from a Broken Foot" It's doing even worse at 153 views, but it did pick up a little after a recent title change, the original title was "Roll a Mile in Their Wheelchair," a title that breaks all the rules as far as being Google friendly.
It was about affiliate training and it was an awful hub. I'm so embarrassed. I really have to delete it.I only hope as I write, I get a little better.
'Organic Lawns' But it had a different title then. Since 10/3/10, it has had a total of 83 views. Pretty pathetic! My first decent Hub was my sixth, written ten days later, about a better way to use Shoe Goo to repair shoes. That one gets a few views most days.
Titled "Mindset and Choice" -
http://nellieanna.hubpages.com/hub/Mindset-and-Choice
It was over two years ago.
My first hub was about the role playing MMO, Dungeons and Dragons Online (different HP alias). I never made any money writing about D&D, but I learned so much about how search engines operate from the experience that I wouldn't trade it for anything. That first article on HubPages is very memorable. Excellent question.
Mine was about moving across the country with two cats (in a little Honda Civic!) I wrote it shortly after we moved from Wisconsin to Las Vegas! Thirty-eight hours in a car with two meow-ers! HA!!! They were really good up until that last hour, then they were letting us know (in stereo) that they were not happy little campers! They adjusted so quickly to our new home, it was cool! I think it's because they didn't want to go back in that car again! Great question!
Thanks for asking this question as it has taken me back over a year ago. I can't honestly tell you whicch hub I wrote first but that the first day I wrote for Hubpages I wrote three hubs. My Mother had recently died of cancer and I had not spoken to anyone for a very long time. It was my way of healing myself. But it was rough when I started and I still have a lot to learn. But here are those hubs if you don't mind me sharing them.

http://jtwalters.hubpages.com/hub/erbl- … eir-Family
http://jtwalters.hubpages.com/hub/Blogging-for-Dumbies
The first hub I believe I wrote was "Beauties only skin deep" and I remember when Google crawled it and the counter kept turning.
Living Frugal . . . A Way of Life, which won a Hub of the Day award and quickly rose to about 800 page views but after ten months sits at only 1,023, which is a distant sixth on my all time list.
My first hub was called "The Official Unofficial Estiah Hub" and I erased it a while ago due to lack of hits (and also because it was terrible; I wrote it like a blog post...yikes!)
My oldest, still online hub is:
http://winterfate.hubpages.com/hub/The- … o-the-Past
It's a review of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the best (in my humble opinion) Zelda video game of all time.
I can't remember but it seems like a photo hub if not mistaken couple years ago.
My first hub was the ...
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Beautiful-P … yo-Ireland
I have then 67 hubs until now.
My first hub is about How to Build Your Own Solar Panel. I was thinking of a topic for my first hub because I am itching to post my first hub when I accidentally saw the article sitting on my drafts folder. I decided to finish it and publish it though it was not exactly the topic I wanted to have for my first hub.
My first hub was about my hometown, "About Rishikesh, A City On The Ganges"...I didn't know about the URL keywords then so I gave the URL 'myhub04'...and you can imagine how would that hub be performing!
But anyways, it is my hometown and I wanted to write about it, so no regrets!
My first hub as about "Gifts to the boss you hate". It is a little SEO-ish since I wrote it for my previous work back in 2011.
It was a hub about going on spiritual retreats of all things!
http://newcalendar.hubpages.com/hub/Going-on-a-retreat
I just joined HP yesterday and this was my first hub.

Hello Everyone, I hope you all had a great week. For me it has been a very good week, my ankle seems to have healed perfectly -it even passed the high heel test- and my arm cast finally came off, just leaving me with a few sessions of re-education before I can start using my hand...

Does anyone have any tales, that you of hubs that you are willing to share, where the number of views surprised you?
