The Importance of Having a Peaceful Mind
My first shot at reviving my poetic self.
I haven’t written a poem for the past many years, maybe more than 10 years already. But I hope somehow this simple work I have had whipped out will give a bit of inspiration and wisdom to potential readers. I am a staunch sports writer and certainly poetry is not my cup of tea. But I am giving my best shot and I hope the inspiration I drew from my friend ralwus will serve me in good stead. Peace of mind is indeed an elusive treasure, but once you find it, I think it is a good idea to keep it for life since it gives you the equilibrium to keep you afloat at all times especially during the trying times, the times, where you think challenges and odds are insurmountable. Being in a panic mode will just put you at bay but with a mind that is clear from any doubts and fear, you will certainly fly like a majestic eagle with a clear vision of all the things around you and at the same time know when to strike at the most opportune time.
Peace of Mind
The rigors of life consumes one’s precious energy and time,
As vivacity seem elusive all of the time.
Things of much significance is often taken for granted,
For many it’s the mullah they wanted.
The point of balance is tilted,
And this is the reason why many already wilted.
O’er the fields of despair many already fall into the trap,
Be careful you may also fall ambush in a single snap.
Why desire for gold that glitters,
But at the end it withers.
People never seem to learn,
And they don’t know that peace of mind is actually what they yearn.
Crossing my fingers you like it wahehehe... otherwise have a nice day (:
