I was at a Joyce Meyer conference in Houston a few years ago and when she came out on stage one of the first things she addressed was that she had in fact recently had cosmetic surgery.

She asked the audience to not judge her and explained her justification for having the surgery as something like this-

You wouldn't live in a house for fourty years and never redecorate would you? Never replace the carpet or paint the walls or add a few throw pillows or chair covers? My body is my house. I have lived in it for over fourty years and all I have done is a little remodeling.

    Classic Joyce.
