Wrote a new poem yesterday for the first time in a long time; I was just in a poetic mood! I think it's the best I've written, though it could afford a little expansion I think.

Tell me what you think!
I have posted a number of poems, one does real well, a few others not so.
Hi
I am not sure if I answered this. What a great way question ~ I wish I had thought of it myself! Well done in the huge amount of traffic to this question. I have written a few 'poems' - just stuff I write when I am moved - or rather stuff that writes me.. I don't 'own' it, but I am pleased to have some kind of 'conduit' for emotional expression.
I guess you won't be answering all the hundreds of emails, but again, I congratulate you on such an accomplishment in this question.
Helen :-)
I've been on almost a year and it's taken me that long to find this thread lol I write poetry! Short stories on occasion but mostly poems
Hi!
Just commenting on a friend’s poem when I saw this on the side.
Um, my name is Calyssa Leigh Wickham. I would be completely shocked if you had heard about me actually. I wouldn't say that I am an accomplished poet per say, but I do have a published book. It's really not that great and my friends started pointing out typos AFTER I had published it of course. XP
Anywayz, I have a few poems up on my page right now. Truth be told I'm more of a fantasy author than a poet, but I think I can do both fairly well. People often mistake my confidence in my writing for ego, but I am proud of my few accomplishments and hope that there will be more to come. Check me out if you feel like it. Thanks!

Hey guys,
I'm a metal songwriter and a general poet, I post a fair bit of my work. I look forward to reading your stuff.
metal songwriter? ah, I'm adoring songwriting style of Andi Deris. Does any metal star influence you?
In my humble opinion, poetry writing is an art. It is priceless. Art has its own followers and fans and therefore it will always have a special place in the hearts of its defenders.
Hi I'm quite new to hub pages. I've published 2 poems so far on my hub page - one of them gets more viewings than any of my other hubs. Poems are personal things, or at least they are written from the heart, but its nice to get feedback from others!
Hi yellowbutterfly. I like your profile pic.
I'll have to check out your poems. I like butterflies too.
Heya,

I love to write short stories and poetry. I hope you will read some of my work and give me some insight. I would love feedback, as my reason to write on HubPages is for peer reviews.
I have a few poems on hubpages but plan to write and post more. Let me know what you think! I love reading poetry and love when people read mine!
I've posted the odd ode here... enjoy or dismiss as you please
Hi all and pleased to meet you
I have added a silly poem for children to my group of hubs. It is called Melvyn the Muddled Bee.
I am new to HP and am already enjoying fossicking around the site as I get time.
There are many other poems, stories and articles I have written stuffed in my files and spread across my desk. I'll add a few more here and there, as I refine a couple of my techniques/styles.
Cheers for now, Louise
Hi, I have written a few poems. Would love to know what people think?
Sure some of my poetry is what I've learned from artists and writers that you look at art work or music and write to it. Don't claim to be a pro, but it find it true, that it brings out some things, that normally wouldn't ever come out.
I can´t say i write poems for i only have 1 poem published maybe i will publish the ones i wrote some years ago, if i ever find the books.
Check out my poems. Let me know what you think. I would love any feedback you, or anyone else, could provide.

Hmmm, I think everyone knows what the post is for.
Be aware, I am a Christian and love God sincerely. I'm also new. The two poems I have up are for Him. One directly. The other to serve His purpose.
God bless you all,
~Daniel
I have recently posted a few poems that I wrote many years ago.
I've decided it's time to share
thanks for this forum...it will give me an audiance that I would not have normally had...I will be publishing some of my work very soon..
Thanks again!!!

I just joined. I have a few poems up so far. I will be adding more.
I dabble in some poetry now and then. I have a rather experimental post about thunder and the moon. A lot of digital images that I generated and little poetry. The opposite of the way I usually do it.
I've written poetry since I was 13/14 years old, since then I've been writing on and off.. the last 1½ year I've picked up writing again.. My poetry is either picked out of thin air, or events that have set my trail of thoughts spinning.. most of the time, they create themselves- if I sit down and say "I'm going to write the best poetry I've ever done", its not going to happen...and I wind up hitting the delete button.. ;-)
Thank you for this thread, its brilliant. And a wonderful holiday to all of you and your loved ones.
Been writing since I could hold a pencil. I have one poem on Hubpages, but soon there will be more. Thanks!
I love poetry it is a way of expressing myself emotionally:)

Do you consider yourself to be a true Poet?If so please explain what certifies you as such, you can draw from your writers experience here on Hubpages, or from your true life on the ground of writing for the shear love of poetry. (No spammy answers though with links or the likes.) Note: The purpose...

Hi everyone!I have lots of poems that I am considering putting on here, some long and some fairly short. Is there a minimum word count for writing on hubpages. Thanks.x

I'm interested in poetic process. I personally believe the real writing comes in the editing stage and that all first drafts, without exception, are abysmal. As a result, I edit and rewrite a piece multiple times over days and sometimes weeks before I deem a poem acceptable for...

Does anyone have any tips for beginning to write poetry?I haven't written very many poems in my life. It's just not something I'm good at, but I would like to get better. Thank you!
