Hi HubMobsters,
Some of you know me already but for those who don't I have been hubbing for more than a year and it has been a wonderful experience. First all of let me wish you a Happy new year. I hope you all had an awesome time. This is going to be an amazing year.
Last year Ryan introduced the Hubmobs and they were a great success with several hubs reaching first page on Google every week. With the holiday season we stopped the HubMob and a couple of weeks ago when Ryan asked me to help bringing it back I couldn't be more than happy to help.
So to go with the New Year resolutions the first official topic for 2009 is Ways To Improve Your Life In 2009
I chose this topic because we all have our own ideas of how to make our life better so it would be easy for all hubbers to join in. Remember you have a whole week to join in the fun. All you need to do is pick your subject, whether you can improve your life by learning a new skill, starting a new hobby, improving your diet, exercising, stopping a bad habit or changing jobs, the choice is enormous.
To join this week's HubMob, please follow the steps below:
1. Come up with an amazing idea to write your Hub on something to do with the topic of Improving your life in 2009 Make the topic your own and feel free to have fun with it. It's up to you on how you write your HubMob Hub.
2. After you come up with your topic idea, click this link and answer the Request that I entered in for all of you HubMobsters. Feel free to use the tags that I suggested and add a few of your own.
3. Write an amazingly comprehensive Hub that completely covers your topic idea. Be sure to add an RSS Capsule that includes the RSS feed to the rest of this week's HubMob entries
http://hubpages.com/request/9527/best?new&rss that way your hub will promote other hubbers' hub and your hub will appear in their hubs too for some great cross promotion.
4 Remember to add the HubMob image (specially made for the occasion by ProCW) to your Hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.
5;- After you have published your hub come back to the forum and post a link to your hub so we can all see it. Feel free to tell us a bit about it and to keep us updated on views and ranks on the search engines, so we can celebrate your success together.
6. The most important point about HubMobs: HAVE FUN !
This was my first time doing HubMobs I chose learn something new and wrote about chess since that was one of my new years resolutions. I hope I followed the directions correctly.
Hello
Needs a little more love but off to my soulless work I go
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-improve- … em-in-2009
Awwwww yeah! The HubMob is BACK!
Looking forward to getting all of the HubMobsters fired up again.
Great work, Princessa!
Thanks Ryan, just learning from the best and do not forget ProCW http://hubpages.com/profile/ProCW he has done an awesome job with the graphics.
What if I use a hub I already created?
This is the one I was going to suggest in particular (since the focus is on weight-loss and fitness).
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-lose-weight-with-DDR
It's only 6 days old, so I figure it's "2009".
I can tweak it, tag it, and add the RSS feed no problem - I just want to make sure that this is within the guidelines of the Hubmob.
-Nate
OK - so I am kicking around a hub idea for this project and I am zoning in on hobbies:
I think a great hobby (actually skill set) is to acquire a new language. I'm bilingual (Espanol es la otra). I learned in a "cram school", for lack of better phrasing, and got a lot of notes on how to pick up a second language. Since I wasn't raised bilingual, I can give good insight on what it means to acquire proficiency in another language as an adult.
Do you think this would be a good hub for ways to improve your life in 2009? I think being bilingual or a polyglot is a wonderful hobby (skill) to work on.
Hi Princessa, it's a wonderful topic. I aim to be able to submit a hub in between work and musical theatre rehearsals with dayzeebee. Happy new year
Thank you Princessa. What a great subject to start the New Year. Thanks also to ProCW for the cool graphics. Happy New Year Everyone
Yeah, it's a great one to kick off the year with, for sure. I'm going to probably write something about working out and getting in shape or something....
Or, maybe things not to do when you start to workout in a gym...
Very good job, Princessa! I am glad to see HubMob back again. I missed it very much.
Patty
Hooray for 2009!

Hi Princessa good to see the hubmob back in action, and to see such a lovely lady at the helm, ahem better looking than Ryan any day lol .....jimmy
Sooooo, what's that supposed to mean, Jimmy?
Just applied the effort on one hubpage for this topic...it has the wayne tully style of bluntness but the idea here is always look on the bright side of life....

Since I've always wanted to learn Spanish I published a hub with online resources: http://hubpages.com/hub/Learn-Spanish-f … e-New-Year
It must be late, because I just can't seem to understand how to get the HubMob graphic to show on my hub.
Hello RGraf.
Sorry about the delay in my response. If you haven't figured it out yet, you may do the following...
Inside of one of your image modules within your hub(s), select "The Web" and then enter an appropriate URL
The URL is:

Glad I could help!
Oh, and feel free to take a look at my post just above this one... and write some more HubMob hubs!!
http://hubpages.com/forum/post/117052
ProCW
Thank you.
Here is the one I just completed.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Improving-Your-Life-in-2009
I'm glad Princessa came up with this awesome topic, because it was just what I needed to get off my large behind and start writing hubs again (I've been so hard trying to finish my first draft of a novel I'm writing that everything else has gone on hold).
Any way, I took a humorous approach to this topic, at least I think I did. Y'all can be the judges....Here's the link http://hubpages.com/hub/HubMob-Weekly-T … A-Good-PMA . Happy hubbing!
Jim Henry, aka crashcromwell
Finally finished...
http://hubpages.com/hub/Learn-a-New-Language-in-2009
Just checked and I am indeed for the moment the first result on that page for mine
with the term "top ways to improve your life in 2009"
Just no google ads in sight...oh well being first is better!!
Well, it's not the greatest triumph, but when I typed tune in pma, mine was at the top. But on others there's no sign on front page.
I took a bit of a different approach... Not a traditional New Year's resolution, but a way to improve your financial life right here on HubPages in 2009:
How to Improve Your Amazon Affiliate Revenue in 2009
Where's your rss feed?
Actually, am I the *only* one that used the rss feed?
Several of us used it. One can title it anything one likes.
Lets celebrate ProfoundPounds HubMob is number one in Google among
23 300 000 for "improve your amazon affiliate"
Hooray!!!
This is a fun topic. I typed my first hubmob and I am in the progress of planning another.
Glad you are ejoying it SweetiePie, I certainly enjoyed your first entry to the HubMob
I have a feeling I won't be on the first page for a while.
Actually, I am on a first page... but for "learn a language in 2009" - of which has a total of 39 entries! LOL.
Now, for a keyword like "learn a language", that might take just a bit longer.
Maybe I misinterpreted what to do.
What was I supposed to do with the RSS feed?
Did you put the capsule in your Hub and then choose how many articles you wished to display...and name the capsule? If so, I think that's everything.
Hilarious and I think one of them is really very good. LOL
Here is mine on how to improve your self by learning to accept and love yourself.

Oopps forgot to post mine so here it is....http://hubpages.com/hub/Ways-to-Improve-Your-Life-in-2009---Learn-Something-New

I think I added everything, (RSS feed,) okay. I particularly happy with the picture of Tom Baker. He's super-cool. I've loved reading everyone's 2009 hubs, they're fantastic, the whole lot of them.
It already has 5 comments, (one of them was accidental and had to be deleted, though,) thank-you to everyone who has commented thus far and will comment in the future.
