I am all ears if any one has any tips, advice or suggestions on becoming a success on here.
Welcome to HubPages, Paul. You are off to a great start. I’m sure you will do well here.
Hello,
Please double that Welcome to Hubpages.
Welcome to the club! My only advice to you is to find your own niche and to write from the heart. Best of luck to you. I'm glad you found us. Hubpages is truly the Terra Nova of content farms.
Welcome! I'm new here, too, and learning my way around. Lots of great folks and help to get your on your way!
Welcome to all new Hubbers! This is a great community, you can learn a lot every day! When I first joined, not so long ago, I spent hours reading up the material at the Learning Center, it is really good, also the FAQ goes into a lot of details. This effort on my part has really helped me achieve better results! This is good advice for you!
Welcome to HubPages Paul. My best advice, after 9 months and 97 hubs is this. Review the Learning Center, especially as it relates to creating good hubs. It will save you time and aggravation of publishing stuff that you will then want to change. Most important - use google keyword tool to find good searchable words for your titles. Also - using photo and video capsules. Also - Break up your text into capsules, not one long text box. Best of luck!
Hello new hubber. (Paul)
Welcome to Hubpages.
Welcome to HubPages! The first thing I did when I arrived at HubPaes was to visit the Learning Center every day until I read through all of the training material. Once you understand the ins and outs of HubPages you will come to truly appreciate and enjoy your time here. And, in my opinion, if you stay out of the intensely spirited religious and political forums you will enjoy your time even more.
Welcome to HP! You will meet some fantastic people here and I can certainly attest to this.
Hello to a new Hubber here!
Just kidding! Welcome aboard. You will get used to us... eventually!
welcome! Let's just pretend I'm not a newcomer as well. haha
Hello!
Spend some time to learning center you will understand hubpage better.
Welcome! I am also new. HubPages has been great to me so far. It is a wonderful community to give and receive. Cheers to you and I wish you much success.
Welcome to Hubpages, paulburchett. Patience, perseverance, humility, self-confidence, creativity, flexibility, sociability, focus, self-discipline, writing skill, and more patience. I wish you the best.
Welcome! My suggestion/advice or whatever you want to call it is write, write and write some more. Be true to yourself - read everything -answer alot. Think harder! Write again. Edit. Rewrite. Practice. Learn your strengths and weaknesses in writing. Enjoy HubPages. If you are open to other's views, perspectives, criticisms, negativity you'll be fine. If not learn to accept people for who they are and their thoughts and move on.
Welcome! I'm a bit new, too. It's scary at first 'cause there are a lot of rude people on the internet but, for some reason, not here. People are really helpful and honest, especially to newbies.
I would say don't lose yourself in what you think other people may want. Just be you and let the words go straight from your heart onto "paper".
Thanks to all for these warm greetings and comments! Your advice is well taken.
HubPages is a neighborhood of many facets. Beware the back alleys, otherwise known as the R/P forums.
Hi Paul,
I'm newish--I started a year and a half ago, then lapsed, then returned. Here's what I learned in my absence.
I wish I had never went away!
Having written for four online sites now, hubpages is, for me, not only the one I get the best results from, but it is also the one that is the most user friendly. It's easy to navigate and my fellow hubbers are genuinely warm and helpful. I am sure there are some disgruntled folks somewhere, but then again, the disgruntled are always everywhere. But the majority here have been welcoming, helpful, and respectful. I found other sites a bit cold, having already established their cliques and "in" crowds. They weren't mean, but they weren't driving the welcome wagon around either. Writers seem a little more self-confident here which, IMHO, allows for more kindness and generosity toward others.
Two, I would say that patience is the main key here--that and doing as someone already said and finding your niche and passion. When you write about what you love, it really comes through in your hubs.
Three, asking for help is always a great idea. I don't know how much help I can be personally since I'm just returning, but if I can help, I will. If you already have a niche, you might want to check out others writing in that section, introduce yourself and follow them. They might be able to help you out.
Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Welcome! I am new as well, and I absolutely love HubPages! I hope you will enjoy too!
I mainly just saw the first and last post of this thread, so Hello and welcome to Paul, and Monis, and anyone in between who's new!
Greetings and Salutations to all you snuggley newbies you'll enjoy yourself and make some great friends. Just read the FAQ, learning center and TOS and you'll navigate your way around, no problem.
It looks like you've received a lot of excellent tips. All that's left for me to say is "hello." So, without further ado... hello!
I'm new too. At first it seemed a bit overwhelming, so I've been taking my time finding my way around.
A very special "Thank You" to all your welcomes and advice! Please keep them coming! I feel very welcomed!
Hi, Paul, welcome!
I'm still a relative newbie myself, but I agree with checking out the Learning Center for lots of great tips on how to use the various capsules and services available. Also, don't be afraid to spread your writing through various social networking sites like twitter, facebook and tumblr.
Good luck, and enjoy yourself!
Welcome, welcome to Hub pages. I am a newbie as well and this is a great platform for writing.

Welcome to hubpages. Best wishes for your writing career. Hubpages is fun. I am sure you will enjoy it.
Welcome. Have fun and enjoy your writing and all the new information you will learn along the way.
Hi Paul, welcome! I'm a newbie here too, and it seems to have been fun so far! From what Iv learned so far, it's easiest to write quality hubs on things that your interested in or passionate about. Then the words just flow.... Enjoy!
Welcome to the hubbing community!
Some tips? Write original content, keep it simple, engage in the forums, keep a positive attitude, leave comments, answer comments, contribute to questions/answers, become active writing in the Weekly Topic Inspiration, don't focus on your hubber score, don't focus on your earnings (they will come in time), don't get discouraged (this takes time), study SEO for better traffic rankings and
ENJOY yourself here.
Again, welcome!
A big welcome to you and much luck in your travels throughout Hub Community. Just be yourself, write what you love to write, relax and get comfy. Read as often as possible...both the "learning center" and hubs, by the thousands of great writers here. You will find everyone, friendly helpful and engaging. Never hesitate to ask questions. We were all "new" once and remember and understand.
Happy to have you!!!

Hello! I am new to the HubPages community and thought I would introduce myself. I joined HubPages in the hope of venturing out on my own as a writer. I've been writing for other people long enough and thought if I don't do my own thing eventually, it'll only get harder as time passes. I am very...
