It would be lovely, if we could have some help connecting with our Squidoo Lensmasters. Many of them have chosen different avatars and different usernames, so it is hard to tell who they were. My username here is different from the one I had for years, at Squidoo.
Welcome to HubPages. This is my transfer name, was DrBilltellsexcitingstories at Squidoo. I've been here, awhile, writing my historical fiction, family saga, stories, as Homeplace Series, and as DrBill-WmL-Smith. Great place to write. Looking forward to you work appearing here. ;-)
Hello, great to see many familiar faces here. My handle at Squidoo was "ajgodinho".
My Squidoo lenses just transferred last night and I've not had much time to look at them in detail, but did check some randomly. Looks like the transfer went well overall, but lots of work needs to be done at first glance. Some YT video have not moved over, many pictures are blurry/pixelated, and all my quizzes have not transferred. I've managed to edit just one lens/hub so far. Anyway, I guess we've got our work cut out for the next little bit.
Looking forward to connecting with you guys in the coming days and weeks.
I was Tolovaj on Squidoo and I used this name for account on HubPages, while my Squidoo account was still alive. My lenses were transferred to new account - TolovajWordsmith. Now I am active on both accounts, but not always in the same day. It would be nice to keep in touch:)
I am jtrag from Squidoo... I don't think my account transferred here properly though, because none of my lenses are on here from Squidoo. When I click in my Squidoo dashboard to initiate the transfer to HubPages, it says my account is already associated with my Hubpages account...
Anyone have any idea what's going on here or how I can get help with this or fix it?
The account you're posting from now was created 3 years ago. The Squidoo transfers have new accounts opened within the past 4 weeks. Your lenses are probably in a new account under your "other" Hubpages name.
Yes, as Barbara Casey said, you can't transfer to an existing account, you must set up a new one. Once you do that, there should be no problem in getting your content transferred. I went through the same thing when I first transferred.
If you haven't initiate transfer so far, your lenses are already transferred to HubPages. The process was automated for everybody, except for people who opted out or had no featured lenses. Your new account is probably named the same as the username on Squidoo (jtrag - there is one with Nitro Engine Tuning - and it looks like an account from ex-Squid). If this name was already taken, your new name is probably jtrag1 or something similar (if there was automation in your case).
All the details about your transfer should be already in your e-mail box - the same e-mail you used to register Sqidoo account (your new user name, your password). Your lenses were definitely transferred to your account if it already existed before August 2014.
I was davestone13, but I have two IDs here on HubPages: David Stone is my existing, four year old account and David Stone1 is my Squidoo transfer account. Let's be friends and enjoy HubPages. It's going great so far.
I was kinworm on Squidoo which is a username I came to loathe but could not change. I picked it because I was really into my Kindle when I first joined Squidoo and my first lens was on that subject but then I branched out into lots of subjects.
Now I am CraftyMarie on HP.
Luckily it's the name of my www and it suits me much better because I do a lot of crafts. So I was lucky to be able to get the username I wanted.
Craftymarie, Isn't it great that you were able to select a name here that you liked better? I had the same issue when I first started writing on a different site. The name had no usefulness and really cramped my style. (Blindsquirrel doesn't do well when shortened...) It's good to see so many new writers here and I'm already finding a lot of great articles posted. Welcome to each of you. Hope you find HubPages to be a friendly and a helpful place. PegCole17
Cool thread! Being the overly logical type all I could think of when moving here was to ad the "2" on my name. I already was signed on to HP as robertzimmerman since I did that when I started Squidoo but I could not use it for transferring what lenses I had left.
It would be nice to be able to move my Hubs to the original HP account without the "2."
Hello, I joined hubpages a day or two ago and there have been a few things running through my mind. Any constructive advice or comments will be greatly appreciated. Also, please excuse my inexperience and newbiness to the site.First of all, why is my hubscore zero? I haven't seen such a low score...
I am wondering if the merger between Hub Pages and Squiddo will affect our standing with Google. All of us here have worked very hard to improve this site so that Google, finally, has begun to view us as a credible writing site. Now, there will be an influx of writers from another site that did not...
Welcome to HubPages. I look forward to meeting Squidoo members and reading your articles. It will be fun working together to help build an ever stronger community of writers. My name is Phyllis Doyle. I have been at HubPages for four years. I have a variety of topics I write on. I usually...
Welcome Previous Squidoo and New HubPage Writers,I am rather new to HubPages myself, but I wanted to extend a warm greeting to HubPages. My question to all of you is: how do you like it so far? I myself was never a Squidoo writer so I am asking earnestly. Is there something's that we have that...
I joined Hub Pages some time ago, but was never active. I had been working with Squidoo. I was quite surprised to have found out so abruptly that behind the scenes Squidoo was being sold. But that's business.I have just put up my first Hub, and have been pleasantly surprised at the...
