Who likes parrots? You will enjoy this one, LOL:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTW1TphMGnQ

Since I did not remember to post news yesterday, here is a second one:

People heard a dog continually barking and ignored it - except an animal rescuer and a dog lover. The first was Maria Tarashevesce and the second was John Miller. They followed the barking dog to a sick mother and her 10 sick puppies.

The mother and puppies were all placed in a foster home and are all doing well now.

The barker who rescued them was given a new name. One guess. He was named "Hero" and also put into a foster home.

Hahahaha ...that is so cool, Kevin!  I cannot stop laughing at how deep his voice was LOL

Aw, on the "Hero" ... we should listen when they bark for they are actually trying to tell us something.  I am so glad someone listened!

      Bless you

Wow, so elated to hear about the kidney donation!! Geez, it makes me open my eyes more to the world when evaluating things as "bad" or "troublesome" in life..
Sharing good news from my side of the boat is that my best friend became the head Deacon of his church, and I'm so proud of him for that because he's been through tons of tough times and he's been able to make it this far, and create something so big out of the little he had; I've become more inspired to be less discouraged from escaping my comfort zone...deciding on colleges, I'm even gaining courage to look into places like Princeton and Rice. Ah, but not to get too carried away now.

Anyway, I'd like to keep post upon Mathew; it must have been really hard for him, but school is such a treasurable and wondrous opportunity; I wish him best of luck on the operation, and extol the teacher's care and courage.

Hi versatileaisle, so true for when we hear of what others are going through our "bad" stuff may not really be as bad as we thought. That is beautiful about the kidney donation! I am so glad you are being more courageous in your decisions. If we never dare, then we never know.

Good morning everyone, have I got some amazing news

There is a woman who is 104 years old and her doctors keep telling her 'Do not eat/drink this/that because it will kill you'. She says,"I am still alive and they die left and right of me." She drinks 3 Dr. Peppers a day even though her doctors tell her not to, drink a coffee in the morning instead.

Hi Kevin, That is a great story. I think some people have an attitude in life that they are just going to live life as they wish regardless and they are happy and healthy as can be. I am reminded of George Burns who smoked cigars and drank whiskey or whatever and lived to be very old too. Maybe it all depends on one's genetics.

Today is a special day -- it is officially the first day of Spring!

Besides that there are three other things about today whcich make it special. They are -

For number one we had an Equinox this morning,

For number two we have a Solar Eclipse (actually we had the total eclipse early this morning but only Europe saw it), the only one this year. You can chek out a satellite filming of it at:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRL-WKhTwvE. Next Solar Eclipse is in 2017,

And number three is tonight we will have a perigee - or Supermoon - the moon will be close to us

There is a radio commercial for Moe's (a restaurant) where you hear a little girl - who sounds so cute - my guess is that she is about 8 to 10 years old. She is saying many things that she will do for her parents to get them to take to Moe's. In the list you hear her say, "I'll do your taxes." lol

You know how each day is "This is such-and-such holiday...", as someones birthday. Well today, 3-26-15,  is 'Make up your own holiday' Day!
Step 1) Dedicate the day to someone - or something - which means a lot to you.
Step 2) Get government approval or mayor/council of city/town to recognize it.
Step 3) Register with Chase's (McGraw Hill's Chase's Calendar of Events) on website
4 and 5) Plan festivities, and then obtain headlines - social media, websites and blogs

I have not posted on here for a few days but I have been working on my latest Hub. Anyway,

There was a woman - Christin Royles - who's doctor diagnosed her with Lupus over a year ago. Shortly after that he said that she needed a kidney replaced. So she agreed to be placed on the donor list - unfortunately it is 1 in 1,000,000 gets one. So when she went home she decided to do something.
She has been searching for a donor for almost a year now. On the rear window (of her SUV or something) somone painted a message:
Looking for someone 2 donate me their kidney!
Must have type O blood. smile
         (you only need one kidney)
The other day someone riding behind read the message and got in touch with her and had several tests. He told her that he was a match and they could do it next month.
He is a father himself, 3 children, and did not think Christin's son should be left without a mother.

About 2 weeks ago there was a guy whose parents were watching his puppy (labrador I believe) and they were on their way back to his place with it when this drunk driver came racing from a side road; this made the parents' SUV turn over several times and some good samaritans came to their rescue to get them out. The parents walked away without a scratch and phoned the police about the drunk.
After all of this, the dog (Georgia) had jumped out of a broken window and disappeared into the woods. The owner was on Facebook and other media, posters, etc., to search for Georgia. He loved the dog a lot.
A week after all of that someone found the dog and contacted the owner. They are now happy and back together again. Georgia had been in the woods, unharmed, merely a little shaken up from the affair.

Praise God we were all safe as we were in one of those large old long tank of a car. My sweet mother was the one who was banged up more than all of us kids back then we did not wear seatbelts.

      1. The Examiner-1 profile image61
The Examiner-1posted 9 years agoin reply to this

I believe that it is because with monkeys we cannot control them (ie - train) like we do dogs and cats. Monkeys climb onto counters, etc., and are curious. They are always getting into things such as opening cabinets pulling out dishes and throwing them on the floor (breaking them). They may get into makeup and mark themselves and the house.
So unless we tie them up on a short leash...we do not want to buy a pet just to tie it up.

My lack of writing here and responding to hubs as I have done in the past are due to working the season of real estate. It is finally booming again due to the low interest rates and the demand for homes. I am also producing new music which is my first love to do. I now find a little time to participate in the forums like I've never done before and not been reading hubs but I hope to catch up on reading them if given more time to read. I'll be glad when I can take time to read and respond to your meaningful hubs as well as the  hubs of my other friends here. God bless you too. You are so inspiring!

I was able to buy a new to me, used station wagon yesterday. It only has 88,000 miles on it and in very good condition, and well maintained.  At a more than reasonable price.

Most important is that it has plenty of room in it for Mom's walker, (and a wheelchair down the line if needed).

    Ecstatic!

There are many spelling, grammar, and sentence errors - even missing words, letters/syllables. It needs to be proofread and corrected very carefully. You need to add a few photos and some type of poll or table.

The traffic was driving along a highway when a little red car suddenly stopped and a teen got out to stand in the highway, remove his cap and place his left hand on his heart. Meanwhile cars went by and looked at him with many having tears in their eyes. No one knew why he did it. After standing there like this for a few minutes, he returned to his car and took off.

When they found him about a week later a radio station called him to ask about it. It was in honor of a funeral procession going past. He did not know who passed away, when or how or even any relatives. He just feels that it is the proper thing to do.

They told it in two parts and the first half sounded as if he stopped in the road which was unmarked and I wondered how he knew someone had died there. Then when they interviewed him it was revealed that he stopped for the funeral. That made sense.

Teacher was surprised when she received something from a former student. Kevin Perz had graduated in 1977 of Missouri's Parkway Central High School and one of his favorite teachers was Marilyn Mecham. In January after years of trying he had tracked her down and gave her a call. Two days later she also received a handwritten letter from him and the surprise was a $10,000 check! He also sent $5K to a caculus teacher and $10K to a business teacher, they were other favorites. He has a note 'there is only one requirement for the check - you must spend it all on yourself'.

Yes our organization Gr8ForHumanity is all about positive feedback. Actually call me a dreamer but I have a vision of American news one day containing nothing but positive news. Why not give people a choice between good news and bad news and see which one they pick? Check out the idea and get it going we must leave the negative reality if we want to truly be free. I say boycott television and use youtube we need all the ideas and help we can get people while we can still use the internet!

Well looking at how many people have posted here we all like a bit of good news. I keep dipping in to read the posts but I am somewhat busy at the moment so not read them all.

I did read sometime ago of a newspaper which only published good news story's. Never anything bad. Unfortunately, human nature being what it is, they were just not selling enough copies and just short of its first anniversary it had to close. But sticking to the idea of only printing good news story's they did not announce the closure.

Actually, just thinking about that. I wonder if an online version would work today. Collating good news story's and then showing them on a website.

At this point half of you are Googling to see if one exists while the other half is already setting up the website. :-) If you do go ahead then I would suggest only one LOL cat, or similar, per issue. Facebook gets enough of those as it is. :-O

      Hi BigBlue,

That is interesting about a newspaper only printing good news stories!  How wonderful and uplifting to hear and know of the good in this world, as opposed to reading only of all of the evil or bad mess going on.  Of course, we do need to be informed on all that is going on in the world, but the good too!

Hmm, that is an interesting about a site doing such .... I really do not do Facebook as it is just a lot of clicking like, like, like, but to each his own as my dear mother used to say.

Yes, no overload on such stories as you suggested LOL.
