TPAM is a game played on forums (I, for instance, first saw it used on an AOL forum back when I was a freshman in high school.) It stands for "The Person Above Me" and the rules are simple:
1. You must post about the person who most recently responded to the thread at the time you hit 'Post a reply'.
2. You must follow all forum rules. This means keep it clean, keep it positive. Flamethrowers down, folks!
3. If the person who responds to you is the person you posted about last, feel free to post another nice thing about them!
Since I'm starting this, I will reference Hubpages as a whole.
Hubpages, you rock and keep me entertained daily!
For the benefit of those that have just joined Hubpages recently, Gamegirl started this thread some time back. Here is her explanation of how this wonderful game is played:
I personally think this is a great way to establish and foster closer ties within our extraordinary community of writers.
Oxymoron sports a classic black and white profile and her hub entitled, "Tashan - The Much Awaited Bollywood Movie" is a good review as well as an introduction to those that have never seen an Indian movie.
http://hubpages.com/hub/TASHAN
I hope that everyone here will help to keep this beneficial thread going. Cheers to everyone!
*smiles*
Gamergirl- I like this idea. It's done on myspace to some degree all the time. Usually there's some kind of question 'do you think the person above you...'
Anyway, I'll play.
Misha- has a great way of helping others via his hubs, giving great tips on numerous subjects.
Whitney writes really cool hubs about dogs, and her forum posts are generally heartfelt.
Stacie's posts make me smile, and I'm sure she's the kind of person I'd like to call a friend outside of Hubpages.
gamergirl was one of the first people on here who replied to my posts. Also, she gave a great list of links in another post that have really helped me!
WriterGig has written more hubs in the last day than I've written in the last month. Now I'm inspired to get going on all those partially finished hubs I've got sitting around Great job WriterGig!
Colleen rarely posts on the forums. But when she does - it's pleasure to read
Misha is a sweet guy, even if he knows more languages than me!
Jimmy The Jock is a prolific content producer and doesn't look half bad in a tutu.
Darkside knows a lot about the Internet, and always gives good advice
Misha's profile is written with such passion and heart, I felt like I was cruising down the highway!
This is a great idea gamegirl...Kudos to you, but:
Natalie, if you are changing lives (your profile), then that's all any of us can ask for. Keep it up.
Oops, I'm guessing not too many people know Peter, so the thread has hit a roadbump.
I hadn't come across Peter either, so I went and read his article on how to make money on Hubpages. Very funny!
link us to the article please
inspirepub is an incredibly intelligent author with a lot of valuable insight into entrepreneurial endeavors, creativity, and life in general and I enjoy her hubs emphatically!
Paraglider is a man of peace and poetry, what more do you want in a man?
I love Kenny's latest series of hubs, "Animals at my Local Zoo." My daughters love elephants, and spent quite a while looking over his Elephants hub The photos were wonderful!
Hi Gamergirl, I LOVE it that you chose to make this positive thread. :-) Thank you very much.
Colleen's radiant smile speaks of wealth of her love for life, her passion for the greens and turning your house into a home.:-)
I'm sorry I don't understand the rules: it's too intellectual for me ... oops I broke the rules
Gamergirl, your positive posts on the forums are a breath of fresh air.
Marisa, your profile pic is beautifully composed. It is playful and intriguing. Your hubs are informative and I'm happy you reviewed Billy Elliott. I love that musical!
R. Fox is a fine arts photographer with a passion for writing hubs about love and relationships. I have enjoyed reading her hubs!!!!
Djtphn1 is a pretty girl who writes interesting and funny hubs And has three goats!
Misha is an active and loyal hubber who is community minded.
He has a passion for driving. And a lust for living.
Darkside has a unique sense of humour for the forums, and a very helpful attitude when hubbing.
kenny is a gentleman in every sense of the word, a wonderful artist and a warm human being.
I wish zsu was my next door neighbor. a warm and lovely woman who knows how to explain anything and is courteous enough to do so.
gamergirl gave a fabulous interview for the newsletter!
Stacie explains things in detail that I thought were impossible to do.
livelonger is a multifaceted and very talented person whose Hubs are brilliant! The Japanese IQ test is superb and other hubs are as varied and interesting as the striations of air, matter, fire and water from the upper atmospheres down through the center of the earth.
Inspirepub is a prolific writer who has managed 27 hubs in 8 days. I'm impressed and in awe!
I love photographic work and RFox wrote a very good hub on avoiding bad relationships, too. Fantastic!
<...thanks inspirepub >
I love Patty Inglish, thats why I became a fan of hers 1000 times .....jimmy
Jimmythejock is certainly a Hub Best Friend to many here and he is my brother 1000 times.
5 minutes later - Patty realizes she is goofing up the game by replying too many times and does 1000 pushups to remember not to so do. Now she must lie down...
Patty Inglish is one of the most fascinating Hubbers writing. Her Hubs are always intelligently written, visually stunning, informative and appealing in multiple ways.
Iðunn writes beautiful poetry and brings a creative flair to Hubpages. I like her musings on politics too, and she apparently reads more hubs and provides more feedback on hubs than any other hubber!
Livelonger is a Gentlman, Lord of the hubpages Manor, his hubs are interesting and his comments to others are always helpful, he also seems to have a great outlook of life in general.........jimmy
I have been lurking, reading livelonger's articles for a few days, and took the plunge just minutes ago to become a fan! livelonger has a vast array articles with well-researched topics, including health benefits and tips (Aronia - highest anti-oxidant berry), food tips (How to make your own yogurt), social issues (Prejudice Test), and even jokes (Taxi joke) and an I-Ching, step by step guide! Excellent hubs, livelonger!
I have never said this before about any man...but JimmytheJock ROCKS in a TuTu! (sorry, j-jock got ahead of my while I was being long-winded about livelonger) lol
Well I am if anything impressed by I am Social Conscience' convictions.
I think it rocks that so many issues can be approached from so many different ways.
Sometimes we do get it "right".
Karl Hartley
I read Karl's profile and was just blown away!
I reckon if we went our for a coffee one morning we could still be talking at midnight.
What a fascinating array of interests - the combo of financial literacy with world travel is not that rare, but throw in libertarianism, the history of religions, and the passionate desire to learn anything and everything new, and you have one rare bird! But definitely a bird of my feather.
If you're ever in Sydney, Karl, I'll buy you that all-day coffee!
Jenny
P.S. Or Stockholm - I'm there at least once a year - or various places in Asia - I might even make it to Hawaii this year, too ...
Inspirepub is one of my favorite hubbers because she has the guts to speak out and sometimes say unpopular things that people might not want to hear, but should. She's a great presence on the forums, and she brings a sense of genuineness (if that's even a word) to her contributions, which is a precious commodity in this world indeed.
Oh my, *blush*. That's something to live up to ... thanks, Hope.
I love Hope's Hubs on werewolves - especially that part about how to kill them (you shouldn't, they are an endangered species ...)
Fantastic sense of humor!
Jenny
Jenny is so energetic nothing really can withstand, even hubscore will give in eventually
Brother Misha is such a wonderful kind soul, and both of us delight in disagreeing with each other, though those are rare.

Okay this is great! I downloaded it this morning, and it's really working wonderfully. We all know Edweirdo, a very clever and useful hubber who created the HubDefender tool for us all which detects hub-theft and assists in dealing with it. Edweirdo has also written many helpful tutorial hubs on...

It would seem that HubPages frowns upon the ongoing interaction within my popular thread, and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this sort of trend within their own threads? The responses are relevant, engaging, and ongoing; so is this HubPages trying to say, indirectly, that it is time to...
