Yep, that's my 2010 HubPages goal - write 1,000 hubs in 365 days - with a minimum 800 words (probably more). While I keep all my other affiliate marketing websites spinning as well. I do truly believe in the money-making power of HubPages, so I'm betting a significant proportion of my 2010 work plan on HubPages. I really want to be able to post next December that I had my first $5,000 month on Hubpages.

While I won't be particpating formally in the 30 Hubs in 30 Days Challenge, I'll be cheering all you Hub Challengers along the way.

You'll see my Nelle hubs numbers increasing, but I do write under several names so you won't see all 1,000 under Nelle.

Anyways here's to 1,000 hubs in 365 days and I wish you the best on your goals as well.

What an awesome goal!  That will be fun to track.  We'll be watching!

What are the best resources for monetizing your hub pages?  How do they report earnings?  Did I already sign up for this?

Good luck Nelle. It would be nice to meet the challenge with you but fortunately for me my outside business is picking up and I'll be lucky to reach my goal of 300 hubs by end of next year.  I'll just be planting a lot of seeds for next years Christmas season.  Sungorge posted a link to a guy that's made 6 figures with Amazon alone, most of it this past year and I'm following some of  his advice though I'm also continuing to see better results with epn and I've created a bunch of blogs just for that.

That's about 4 hours every morning for me. I've worked out a basic plan and I know what hubs I'm going to write. Then I'll move over to my other sites. I work about 10 to 12 hours online 6 days a week - and this is my career. There's isn't any fall back plan.

Good luck. I hope to break 1500 this year, but we'll see... That's about 900 or so hubs.

I'll definitely be mixing it up this year. More affiliate hubs, but definitely keeping a solid base of informational hubs. Plus, I'll be setting up about 4 or 5 blogs within the next few months; all of which have proved to be good topics/niches in my hubs and other blogs that I have. I'll be transferring info from current blogs over to the new domains, as the new ones are solely mine, whereas the other blogs have a shared revenue.

Anyway, 2010 should be a nice start on things. Nice base number to. Ha.

Wow! that would be something to accomplish, 1,000 hubpages in one year, I wish you the very best of luck with this, as I'm sure you will achieve this with a few days left of this year to plan the year ahead.

I've set myself a small portion of that amount with at least 200 hubpages, as I want to build on my existing top performing hubpages and integrate these into my new hubpage articles.

Can you expand on what you mean by hub integration?

        1. profile image0
Nelle Hoxieposted 14 years agoin reply to this

First I would say write 50 hubs all on a very tight niche and link ALL of them together - which is very tedious because I'm having a lot of trouble using the link capsule. (I link the hubs as I write them.)

For each hub I write - on the day I write it, I provide at least 5 external links to that hub from my series of blogger blogs. And now from my "nelle" websites. For examples of that see my profile page. I'm using the HubPages widget and actual links in the websites. The garden website is the best developed at the moment I think. The combination of linking the hubs and external links gets a lot of google and yahoo attention very quickly.

Each time a new hub is linked to older hubs. And then when I link to the new hub 5 to 10 times that day, it ripples to all of the older hubs. So they are always getting new google juice as I call it. So over the course of 10 days, those new hubs get a ton of backlinks within and without HubPages.

I found during the last few months, when others were complaining that their hubs weren't getting indexed quickly most of mine were indexed and ranking well within 24 hours.

Well, Nelle, I am not going to beat you but I am going to join you in the building of hubs for 2010. I cannot spare the time to commit to 1000, but I will commit to 500.  That is about 1 1/2 hubs a day which I can do. For right now at least, Hubpages is offering me a faster rate of growth than other sites that I am on so most of my effort in writing this year will be focused here.  I will also be building my main website so a lot of time will be focused there as well.

I really wish I could join you Nelle, you are a huge inspiration to me! I really do look up to you and think it would be great to join you BUT I am not the affiliate seller that you are YET and am have to keep the food on the table with the day job roll.
The closest I can say is that I hope to build up my affiliate selling skills to a point where I can give up one of the day jobs (one is like an hour and a half a day so I would likely keep it just to get me out of the house) in the next year. If I can get it to snowball and build up enough sales in say a couple of months then perhaps I will come back here as join you then smile
What you are proposing to do here should prove very profitable! I admire your ambition and am inspired to type my fingers to the bone as often as I can so as to catch up to the success you have under your belt at this moment. You crazy lady you! tongue

Yes HP is cool with multiple identities. I can work in peace and quiet without lots of people watching and asking a lot of questions. And quite frankly if I find a niche that I think is very valuable, I might not feel like telling the whole world about it.

My other identities don't argue with each other or come to the forums or comment on each other's hubs.

I would have said yes however I am little peeved at the waning authority of the hubpages. The adsense income which earlier used to rock because of instant authority is now no longer there. Am I correct in there or is it simply assuming a lot of things.

Are you banking only on Adsense for that income or affiliate sales?

I love this! First of all, Nelle I'm sure you will be able to do it. I've now read quite a few of your hubs and I think you are really good at this!

Just yesterday I sat down and wrote out my goals for 2010. I actually wrote down 200 hubs in half a year. But since I like this challenge so much I will join you guys in it and raise my stakes to 1000 also. Since I am travelling for the next 6 months I think I will have to write the majority after I come back. Although there is no better place to write then on buses, trains and planes, nothing else to do to distract me!

So good luck to you all and me!!!

I have to take advantage of days when my hands aren't so bad. There will be days when I won't be able to write at all. I don't want to get too far behind! lol

Is there a good reason to post hubs on more than one account? Do you split them by topics, or what. I am interested, but I just figured if you are drawing traffic to your one account, it would be counter productive to have a second.

Whoohoo, 2010 is almost here! (I'm in Sydney, so it's earlier for me this year).

Does everyone have their strategy ready? I'm quite curious how you are planning to reach the goal of 1000 hubs. My plan is to do 200 in the next half year. I'm traveling, so a little over 1 a day is already a lot I think. But I'm planning to do lots on a few quiet days. Then the next 800 will have to be in the second half of the year, which will probably be difficult to reach, but I like a good challenge!

Basically I plan to write 3 or 4 each day. Nothing fancy in my strategy. I've got a general outline of the topics I intend to write about. Each topic has 50 hubs in it.

What an awesome idea, Nelle! I know you can do it. Can;t wait to follow your process - the results are going to be fantastic! I'm trying to get 50 done over break, but classes start again in 20 days and I've only written one...hahaha

Hey it's good to have you around! Thanks for the support. Yes, I am excited to really push HubPages and see just what can be accomplished here.

You should take a bit of time off, so you go back to school refreshed and ready.

Well, I'm getting back into the spirit of things. I'm working towards 500 hubs finished by the end of the year. I had 408 that needed to be done to accomplish that goal and have gotten three out so far which puts me at 405 to the finish line.

Whew! That is a lot, but multiple days ahead of me and it won't seem so bad.

    Good luck to everyone else!

I've kept to my schedule of 3 hubs a day. But a silly thing, I like to see the number of my Nelle Hoxie hubs increasing, so I'll probably write more under that identity. It really shouldn't matter. Strange the little foibles we develop.

Hubs are getting indexed rapidly for me and traffic is rebounding after a New Year's slump.
