      I would love to have a 100 hubber score, congratulations to you CMHypno. My hub karma is 98, it's not hard to raise it. Just link all your hubs to others. It really help with traffic as well. It raised mine a bit.

   Mine is 63, too. I  have under 50 hubs. With this lower number of hubs, I think my proportion of links to other hubbers is  relatively high. It's interesting, though, because I think I have only created three or four deliberate links to other hubbers. I have used a tag-based rss feed that includes MOSTLY my own articles, but has one or two other authors' hubs  mixed in. Wonder if that has something to do with it?

         That's true, at the beginning I started out with only 35 and with some linking I'm up to 98. So it changes, just do the linking, with the linking tool.

      What???!!!  91?      I was delighted to see that my dismal 48 from last night had now "jumped way up" to 50.   
      
      (I don't know about anyone else, but I think this thread, alone, may be improving "real-life" Karma if it's as funny for everyone else as I'm finding it.  I'm not sure I've ever seen "the natives" as restless as they/we are over this one.     )

       It's something - like the "following" feature and the accolades/milestones - that I suspect is aimed squarely at people who are really into social networking sites. 
       
       But it's mercifully easy to ignore and doesn't affect your hubs' search engine rankings so to me it's water off a duck's back, so to speak... said the person with a lowly hub karma of 46   (Maybe I'll come back as a dung beetle in my next life...)

    I'm at 70, but no idea how I got it.  I don't link to other hubbers (I don't know how) and I only have 16 hubs.  I'm confused ... Someone (Sunforged?) mentioned the number might be backwards .. wonder if that's the case?

    Last night when the hubkarma started I was 48 or was it 38? Can't remember but posted it anyway. I put three rss feed capsules in my top 3 hubs below the comments section, linking to one word that exactly described the hub topic. Most of the rss feeds have redirected back to my own hubs, but not all.
    Today hubkarma is 72, but don't know if it is related or not as everyone else's seem to have changed too without making changes to hubs.
    I couldn't put contextual links in because Firefox is returning a script error every time I try.

    We can only see our own hubkarma score right? I mean when I go on other people's profiles I can't see their hubkarma, so why care about it if no one else can see.
    
    Anyway mine's 68 for some reason. I never link to other hubs except occasionally when I participate in hubmob.

    Mine was 40. Then I tried out the whole linking thing, stuck a few links in a few hubs, and it's still 40. Maybe it takes a while to change? I'm gna try it out for a bit, see if it makes any difference to anything, can always get rid of the links if nothing happens.

       The scale is from 0 to 100, so 70 is almost two thirds of the way to the maximum you can achieve. Congrats, the highest I have encountered yet.

    Just another thought ... Before I used the new link suggestion thingy my hubkarma was 40, but all the links i had were to my own hubs. So why wasn't my score lower? I wouldnt have thought links to your own hubs counted? And most of my links weren't in the text either, they in a link capsule at the side.

          It's your hubber score. Your overall score. It's a bit more relevent than hubkarma. You don't want it to drop below 75. Yer's is good.

       It's supposed to be based on how much your hubs link to other hubs, but it doesn't seem to matter to HP if they are links to your own hubs or other peoples'. Linking to your own hubs might work.

    I just took a look at how it works for suggesting links in a hub I had written. I must have picked a hub that was difficult to suggest links for - because none of the suggested links were relevant.

       I'm glad you mentioned that.  I was running into my own too, and my instinct was to automatically "rule them out".   
       
       (Mine is 54 now too.   It seems to be creeping up slowly from its original 47.  I originally said I wasn't going to pay attention to it, but curiosity about the process of creeping has me coming back to see what's happening.)

          The tool actually favors suggesting links to your own hubs and hubs by people that you are following, so long as they are related to the phrase.

                   i don't use the link tool per say, normally when I start a hubpages project I will pre-create about 20 hubs and then sketch up how i'm going to link them on mind manager.

                      All of my poem hubs are linked to each other. All my celebrity hubs and model hubs are linked to each other.
                      
                      I have several articles that have embedded links and even related articles(links capsules).
                      
                      So, internal I am going to town and have very few backlinks that I myself have made. I only have my blog and Redgage.
                      
                      I have only a couple of articles and comment capsules pointing directly to other hubbers. Except for my poetry hub, which has an RSS feed for other writers, it actually has two feeds.
