I found out through FaceBook that Joan Robertson has died. It is so sad to learn one of our own has died. She was a dear, sweet lady. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. RIP, Joan
She is on my friend list at FB, and I also heard of her passing in her sleep. Sympathy to the family. Three folks on my friend list have died recently with one only in his 50s. I wonder if the bad winter has affected health problems. May Spring come quickly.
Such a lovely lady and friend I will surely miss. This is sad news indeed. RIP dear Joan.
Sad news. Sympathy for her family and friends.
Thoughts and prayers for family and friends worldwide. RIP Joan . . .
So sorry to hear about this. Joan was an excellent writer and a sweet person. HP was a better place because of her presence. Condolences from myself and the HP Team to her loved ones, family, and her friends here on HubPages as well.
sorry to hear the sad news, may her soul rest in peace
Very sad news, may she rest in peace. My sincerest condolences to her family, friends and to the community.
Oh, how sad, Mary. I did not follow her, but I have seen her commenting and some on my hubs too. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Thank you for sharing, dear Mary. God bless.
I'm sorry to hear that. I was looking at her profile and she sounds like she has had an interesting and great life. How neat we have things to read from her. (I didn't know her.) My heart goes out to Joan's friends and family, and prayers as well. Thank you for letting us know.
Oh that is so sad to hear. Is this her?
This is so sad. Thanks for sharing the news, Mary. My thoughts are with Joan's family.
I didn't know Joan at all.
My condolences to her family and friends.
I've just spent time reading some of Joan's hubs. What a shame I hadn't encountered Joan's work earlier. Her hubs are great! I am sharing two of them so others get a chance to appreciate her work - and learn some of her Granny Madge's tips.
Thanks for telling us, Mary.
Yes, Joan's Hubs were outstanding. You are most welcome.
So sorry to hear this - she was a sweet woman. Thank you for letting us know!
It is so sad to hear that Joan has passed. Thanks you for letting us know. It is good to know her work will be immortalized here on Hubpages.
I am so very heart broken to hear this news. I will share in our writing group for those who do not know.
That was sad news to hear. She was a gifted writer, and I know she will be missed terribly.
Sending my thoughts and prayers to her family and this community. The beauty of being a writer is that we leave our words to comfort those left behind. May she rest in peace and continue to dazzle the angels.
I'm sad to hear this. I didn't know Jean, but it always feels personal when a hubber dies. My condolences to her family and friends.
Thank you, Mary, for letting us know. I was unfamiliar with Joan's writing until now and see that she has left us many impressive pieces to read. I wish I had discovered her writing sooner. My heart goes out to her family.
OMG! That is why I have not heard from her anymore. I´m so sorry to hear this news. God bless her and she may rest in peace. Thanks Mary for letting us know.
I am thinking of sending an email to her address here of condolence to her family. I would imagine a member of her family checks her email and would read it.
Any thoughts about that??
It made me sad to see her response to a FaceBook post last night, that was dated Feb. 28. It made me think of just how fast we can leave this earth. Just reminded me to give my family an extra hug, cause I may not be here tomorrow.
I think sending an email to Joan's address is a very lovely gesture. I will do the same, Mary. Thanks for the idea.
I so agree with you on how quickly things can change. Giving extra hugs and more kindness to loved ones is a good thing to do.
So sad to hear this! She is on my follower list on HP and G+. Such a sweet and supportive hubber. The HP community will miss her. RIP Joan Robertson.
Very sad news. my thoughts are with her friends and family at this moment. RIP.

I am sure most of you knew Mary Hyatt. Sadly she passed on today, and I for one will really miss her. I loved her hubs, and her humor too.
