(Author's Note: Considering the amount of time I spent here writing in HubPages that hasn't age that much, I hope that somehow this humble article will help in a way).

Considering the difficulties and sacrifices I already made here by virtue of using blood and sweat in making my hubs, I hope I have the honor to give some tips to the Hubbers especially to the neophytes. I may stand corrected as I solely rely on the hard earned experience I already have had here. Hope you will like this, dear Hubbers.
The hubs that were given much attention and devotion in making it stand out scores well. The battle for supremacy in gaining a lofty place in the search engines requires a gargantuan task. The competition is stiff and enormous, and the way to level the playing field is to make hubs that is not only teeming with rich contents but as well as it is made original as much as possible. Your hubs are pitted against existing articles that could number from few hundreds to millions, whoa, and the way to surpass and compete with them toe and nail is to produce great hubs to the best of your abilities.

Here are some tips to help you bolster your HubRank:
- In my standpoint, rich and original contents is the main category a Hubber must take seriously. Base on my scores and my observation with the scores of many Hubbers, a Hubber with many hubs that scores very well but fall short in originality usually doesn't get the maximum HubRank he is supposed to get. Many of my articles are spiced up with my stock knowledge and experience, for the remaining hubs however, I would say I made some laborious research to make them informative by piercing through the pages of the books, magazines and newspapers available in a nearby library, sometimes scouring the Internet for more information and getting tremendous help from reference books and magazines at home. Here is a tip on how to write an article that interest you most. Chew and digest an article that you think is worth writing for. See to it that this article that you are about to make could draw potential readers (you may use Adwords keywords tool if you are already familiar with this). Try to make a new article with a clear goal that it should be original as much as possible, by working with the main ideas you extracted from what you have read, this will serve as your foundation and try to work around from here. Expand your article further by injecting more ideas based on your own stock knowledge, wisdom, skills, and experience. If you are not contented just yet make another research to reinforce your articles. Make sure you have coherent phrases that support one after the other well. As much as possible, avoid making faulty grammars, wrong spellings and typographical errors, hehehe. Be be careful with your punctuations too. At the end of the day, though, don't worry if someone would criticize your work, especially with correct grammar and punctuations, even the great writer Mark Twain during his heyday wasn't spared from the same criticisms.
- Once you maximized the contents of your Hub try to work on with how to increase your traffic. One of the key ingredient in improving your HubRank is to obtain a healthy overall traffic of your hubs. - Remember that a writer is like an actor, and what this points to, just like actors you need audiences. Audiences is synonymous to followers (once fans) in our HubPages. Yes generic page views can add luster to your HubRank, which in turn helpful for you to improve your individual Hubs' respective page ranks in various search engines, like google.com, yahoo.com etc. HubPages have thousands and thousands of registered users and also commands a great number of visitors each day. It is not a good idea to overlook them, they may not provide us clicks (however, accidental clicks can happen from a fellow Hubber, and this can be a lucky break, hehehe) at least they help us get traffic, besides the plausible overall comments given by them in your Hubs, they also play a key role in improving your overall HubRank as well. The forum is the best way to meet friends. Once you have lots of acquaintances expect some of them to read your Hubs. Hubbing is all about writing and reading, if you want to increase your HubRank now, try reading some Hubs right away and try to make comments with what your heart desires to say so, but to be safe, do not criticize, for criticisms are like homing pigeons, they will find their way back home and this might even hurt feelings of others that will take a lot of days to heal, or perhaps even months or years. When they retaliate expect that they will also provide thumbs down reaction to your Hub(s) which may hurt your HubScore and even your HubRank. This is the essence of blogging and Hubbing which Patty Inglish, MS, taught me with her post in my fan mail as she said, "Glad you joined HubPages to read and write!" Upon seeing this post from Patty who happens to be one of the seasoned and respected Hubber in the magical kingdom of HubPages, I started reading articles of other Hubbers from then on and I would say it was rewarding doing it. My number of followers registered rapid growth, my HubRank posted remarkable improvements and what is also rewarding doing this is I am learning and enjoying from the Hubs I am reading. Additionally, I get to know other Hubber friends, and that was indeed a joyful experience. You are getting acquainted with people that you don't even know personally, yet shares same compassion and interests in writing. One of the Hubber here who happens to be Beth100, a wonderful Hubber, is my neighbor in Farmville, hehehe, thanks to HubPages and we regularly give Farmville gifts with each other. With my reading exploits elsewhere here in HubPages I discovered some diamonds in the roughs too, and one of them is that of Yoshi's article about Keywords which I mentioned earlier.
- Active participation in forums and commenting in other Hubs may help you increase your HubRank.
- Joining HubChallenge, and HubMobs may also help increase your HubRank.
- Use your heart in writing, this will give depth and breadth to your writings as well as sense of uniqueness.
- Be versatile, try to write as many articles in different field of discipline as you can. Variety will surely reinforce your works and makes them interesting.
- Go with the trend, updated and hot topics will surely spur interests on the part of the readers.
